Playing with Scraps

I'm starting another day pawing through my scraps bin to see what I can create with my leftover bits and pieces. Today it's this triangle patterned paper and sticker accents from Pebbles's Walnut Grove collection. Remember that one? An oldie, but a goody! I love those bright happy colors!

Do you have a scrap paper bin? How about grabbing a piece of pretty paper and let it take you on a crafty adventure? Have fun!

Live in the Moment

This morning I was living in the moment when I created this colorful, floral card to share with you today. It's been one of those mornings where I want to start my day with a little craft session and this is what I came up with.

All these patterned papers and accents are from an old Pebble's collection called Walnut Grove. I've been working with this line for a couple years now and it's always fun to play with. Easy too because of the ready made tags and flowers. I just added a ribbon bow and a black button on the center of the butterfly to dress it up a bit.

Hope you enjoyed the project and have a wonderful day!

Playing with Felt

The other day I happened across my felt stash container and realized that I hadn't created anything with felt in quite some time. No time like the present, right? Before I forget for another few months! Ha!

I began this project with this piece of Pebbles' Walnut Grove floral paper from my scrap bin and matched felt colors to it. Then I picked some dies...the 'hello' die is from Reverse Confetti, the 3D flower from My Favorite Things and the leaves are from Lifestyle Crafts. I also added a little burlap because I love how it looks with flowers. The last little accent, an antique ladybug pin. I found those at a local antique store years ago. It's perfect for this flower card, don't you think?

On the Cover!

Here in the U.S. we'll be celebrating our country's birthday this Thursday! I hope you all enjoy the festivities! Speaking of birthdays, Paper Crafts' Birthday Creations magazine hit the stands! And guess what? I made the cover! That's my birthday card!

This issue is packed with fabulous birthday party decor, cards, gift tags and packaging ideas for your next birthday party! I loved pouring through it from cover-to-cover! So much crafty inspiration! And guess what? I have another card within it's pages! Woot! Page 76!

For the remainder of the week, I have a lot of patriotic posts in honor of July Fourth. I hope you can stop by and see them! Have a great day! :)

Many Thanks

Time flies when you're having fun and it's been awesome creating for the 2012-2013 design team at Pebbles! It's also been fabulous working with our coordinator, Lynn Ghahary, who's stepping down. I'd like to thank Lynn for her support and a great year so I made her this card with the Walnut Grove collection.

Lynn will be missed! Fortunately, I know she'll be around, sharing this hobby we love on Facebook, Two Peas in a Bucket, Scrapbook and Cards, etc. I think our paths will cross often and who knows, we just might wind up working on another team together? I'd like that. Thanks for everything, Lynn! :)

Hello

How was your weekend? We had a wonderfully relaxing one! I went on a junk hunt at the flea market Saturday morning and found a great big iron fire pit. We tested it out that night with some marshmallows! Oh...yum! We made a trip to our local nursery for a couple plants for the front door. We enjoyed the beautiful weather while doing a little yard work and going on a hike. Dan and I reacquainted ourselves with the game Parcheesi. :)

This morning I'm back in my office playing with paper and created this card to share with you. I used Pebbles' Walnut Grove collection. I haven't been using much ribbon on my cards lately so it was fun playing with this wide grosgrain style. What do you think? Do you like bows on cards?

Hope you have a great week! Thanks for your visit!

Love You

Hello!

Are you having a crafty good week so far? Have you made any cards or scrapbook pages this week? I just received the new Doodlebug releases this week so I've been a busy little bee creating projects for you! Have you seen the new collections? There's four...Flower Box, Fruit Stand, Take Note and Stars and Stripes. I can't wait to show them to you! Also, Doodlebug released their own line of washi. Talk about colorful, fun and just plain awesome!

Today I have a Pebbles project share. For this card I attempted a chalk board design.

I used Pebbles' Walnut Grove collection and their chalk kit that includes stencils. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the red heart is colored with a metallic cream chalk to give it some shimmer. What do you think?

Hope you like. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Mix & Match Monday

Hi!

Did the weekend fly by or what? It always does! I cooked, baked, cleaned, went grocery shopping and relaxed. Nothing glamorous, but enjoyable. How about you?

Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you. It's Mix and Match Monday over at Pebbles and this is my contribution. Can you spot the collections I combined to create my page?

There's a bit of Walnut Grove...

...a little Seen and Noted too...

...along with some of the beautiful Family Ties collection.

Individually, these lines have their own distinct feel, but they share a few similar colors which makes them perfect for mixing and matching!

I couldn't resist creating another page of our sweet little Oreo.

Do you like? I don't think you can go too wrong with such a cute face for a focal point! ;)

Before I run, I have a winner to announce for Friday's magazine giveaway. Congratulations goes to Lisa of Lisa's Creative Niche! I hope you enjoy these issues as I have!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great start to your week! :)

Because Chocolate Makes Me Happy

Hello!

I'm thrilled to hear that my sunny summertime post from yesterday lifted many spirits! Today we're having yet another gray day with a snowstorm on the way, so how about an uplifting crafty idea that includes chocolate?

Recently I made these Doodlebug wrapped Hershey bars for a Christmas project and thought I'd make some 'just because' bars. Imagine someone handing you one of these right now. Wouldn't that make your day? Even if you're allergic to chocolate...they're pretty to look at, right?

I made this batch of chocolate bar wrappers with the Pebbles' Walnut Grove collection and some Thickers. You can easily slide the bars out of the wrapper to reuse it and pass it on. Perhaps there would be a little less road rage if we ate more chocolate? ;)

Well, I have to scoot to the store. I usually do my grocery shopping on Friday morning, but if we get snow tomorrow, as expected, I may not be able to get the car up the driveway.

Have a great day. Hopefully it includes a bit of chocolate! :)

Christmas Treats & Giveaway Winner

Hi!

Here we are just a few days away from Christmas and at out house it's time to let the baking begin! I plan to make Pecan Pie Thumbprint Cookies, Pecan Balls, Sugar Cookies and Fudge this weekend. And I'm hoping that I don't consume too much of it myself! :)

As a paper crafter I also enjoy making pretty packages for my treats so when Pebbles challenged their design team to create a card and gift set I was pretty excited! It was a wee bit challenging since Pebbles doesn't have a Christmas collection this year.

Tucked inside this bag decorated with the Walnut Grove collection is a mini loaf of my all time favorite Banana Bread. I've been using this recipe for over 25 years! It's that good! :)

I hope you enjoy the festivities over the next few days! And before I scoot to the grocery store I have a winner to announce for yesterday's Bella Blvd. goods. Congratulations Lindsey from Gregsgirl's Crafty Corner! I think she won my last giveaway! With her luck she ought to buy a lottery ticket! ;)

Oreo

The wait is over write. click. scrapbook. fans....it's the first of the month and the new December gallery is live and loaded with scrapbook pages about favorite photos from the team. My favorite kind of photos are the everyday kind that provide a glimpse into our everyday lives.

Do you  recognize this collection? It's by Pebbles, called Walnut Grove. Swoooooooon! :)

Being the first of December also means that this little fluff ball has been with us a month now. On November 1st he was found cold, hungry and dehydrated under our deck. He was just about two pounds. During this past month he's doubled his weight, loves to play with Christopher's Legos, boss the older cats, climb the Christmas tree and has stolen our hearts!

Here's a couple favorite photos of our sweet little (growing) Oreo.

Hope you have a great holiday weekend! Thanks for visiting! :)
