Oreo

The wait is over write. click. scrapbook. fans....it's the first of the month and the new December gallery is live and loaded with scrapbook pages about favorite photos from the team. My favorite kind of photos are the everyday kind that provide a glimpse into our everyday lives.

Do you  recognize this collection? It's by Pebbles, called Walnut Grove. Swoooooooon! :)

Being the first of December also means that this little fluff ball has been with us a month now. On November 1st he was found cold, hungry and dehydrated under our deck. He was just about two pounds. During this past month he's doubled his weight, loves to play with Christopher's Legos, boss the older cats, climb the Christmas tree and has stolen our hearts!

Here's a couple favorite photos of our sweet little (growing) Oreo.

Hope you have a great holiday weekend! Thanks for visiting! :)

A Page, Card Peek and Kitten

Hello!

How was your weekend? Ours was wonderful! Saturday evening we all went out to dinner. Christopher wanted to try sushi. I tried it years ago and wasn't keen on it, but I love that Christopher wants to try lots of different things. He loved it! And guess what? I did too! Go figure!

Sunday Dan and Christopher went to the annual model train show in Raleigh. Boys and their toys....they love trains!

I spent a lot of time this weekend cuddling this little guy.

Thursday morning, on our way out, to bring Christopher to camp. We heard this tiny little, "meow!" At first Christopher and I both thought it was one of those birds that sounds like a cat. After a couple more cries, I started looking around the bushes and the next thing I know, this little black and white bundle of fur is running towards me! All two tiny pounds of him! According to the neighbors he's been seen with his stray mama a few times. We have an appointment at the vet's office today to get him checked out and to rent a trap to catch mama and get her spayed.

Today on the Love My Tapes blog I have a fun-funky project share for you. I hope you can hop over and take a look. Here's just a peek.

Can you believe we're already a few days into November??? With a new month comes a new gallery at write. click. scrapbook.

Our theme this month is favorite colors.

I couldn't decide on just one or even a family of hues so I created this page about loving all colors.

To see lots of fabulous color themed pages from the write. click. scrapbook. gang, click here.

Whew, another loaded post! I've had a lot of them lately! :) Well, I do love sharing with you!

Thanks for your visit and I hope you have a super Monday! :)

Kiss Me More

Hello!

Welcome to the third and final day of the Kiss Me collection reveal. Are you in love with this brand new Bella Blvd. line? Are you ready for more? Today I have another scrapbook page and a couple cards to share with you.

This week the hubs and I had our annual day date at the state fair.

This collection is perfect for documenting our special day.

Here I created a mini sign post with some of the Alpha and Bits stickers.

I tucked a Just Write journaling sticker into the side of my page.

For this card I made a paper heart pillow by stitching two die cut hearts together and adding a little cotton in between.

It's a little hard to tell from the photo that it's puffy.

For this card I thought I'd try stitching with two different thread colors.

What do you think? Do you like the look?

There's a lot more Kiss Me projects over at the Bella Blvd. blog. Hop on over and enjoy all the pretties! :)

Before I scoot, it's time to give you a little peek at my page for the upcoming write. click. scrapbook. November gallery that will post on the first.

Can you guess what our theme is? Need more clues? Visit the write. click. scrapbook. page on Facebook.

Well, I hope you have a fabulous weekend! Christopher is away at camp this weekend so hubs and I are on our own to play some more and go to dinner at our favorite restaurant. Life is good! So what will you be doing?

Pinteresting Things

Hello!

It's been a little while since I mentioned how much I adore Pinterest so I thought I'd do that today.

I've been keeping a Crochet and Knitting pin board for some time because I wanted to learn one day and because there's just so many adorable things you can make along with free patterns.

Well, I recently picked up a crochet hook in August and looked up some of my pins and links to tutorials and learned how to crochet. :)

The photo on this page is the beginning of my first project, a washcloth. Since then I've made a scarf and I'm almost finished with a throw blanket.

When I heard that write. click. scrapbook's October gallery theme was 'Pinterest made me do it,' I thought my new-found crochet hobby was perfect for it.

If you have a little time, head over to write. click. scrapbook. to see all the fabulous Pinterest pages.

Last week I also started learning to knit. I'm all thumbs at it so far. The needles are so much more bulky and awkward than a small crochet hook. I hope some practice will help.

Today on Love My Tapes I have another Pinterest inspired project I hope you can go see. I'll give you a little hint... it's a way to incorporate Love My Tapes into a quick and easy home decor project.

Have a wonderful Wednesday. Thanks for your visit!

8 Years

Hi!

Oh how I love the first of the month, when the new write. click. scrapbook. gallery is bursting with fresh new scrapbook pages! This month's theme is 'looking back.'

It's been almost 8 years since we made our cross-country move from California to North Carolina.

Every time I think of the day we flew with a toddler, two parrots and a cat in tow across the country, I'm amazed at the planning that was involved and what an adventure that day was.

I used the Silhouette to create this '8' pennant. Those pretty red High Five Alphabets are from Bella Blvd.

I used an old Quickutz 2" photo corner die to create 'arrows' across this gorgeous map paper from Little Yellow Bicycle.

We still have the old flyer from selling our modest little house in California. Things aren't cheap there!

We love our new home and have gotten to see a lot more of our beautiful country living on the east coast.

Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend. Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
