Happy Easter!

I usually don't post on Sundays, but I had to pop in to wish you all a happy Easter and share a card I created just for the occasion.

I made this card shape with Fun Stampers Journey Treat Label die and used this tulip stamp from the Hope Rises set for my focal point. Isn't this image gorgeous?

I colored my flowers with the Fusion Blender solution and re-inkers.

After the tulips were dry, I fussy cut them and layered them on a doily and pierced ring. All are wrapped in a  pretty gingham ribbon bow...perfect for Easter! Oh, or how about Mother's Day?

Have a wonderful holiday!

Make Amazing Happen

Good Friday to you all! I have a Pinspired card to share with you today. While perusing through my 'Craft - Cards' Pinterest board recently I ran across a card that I had to re-create.

Below is the gorgeous card by Wida Miller that made my heart go pitta-pat!

Ack! I love the ruffled look! It's so fun and a great way to show off several coordinating patterned papers!

I immediately thought of RG's new Make Amazing Happen collection with it's colorful prints on one side and black on the other.

I new Nida's design would be perfect for these papers, am I right?

Easter Champagne Flute Tags

Oh spring how I love thee! You are by far my favorite season! And Easter is just one of the many reasons I'm so smitten with you!

So I've been doing lots of Easter paper craft projects like these champagne/wine tags you can create to dress up your Easter or Mother's Day table.

The Fun Stampers Journey Treat Label die set is perfect for this! I  used the smallest die in the set and sixth size up to create these tags. Then I cut a slit at the top so they can easily be attached to my glasses.

Then I used a stamp from the Easter Wishes set and embossed the tags with a simple 'Happy Easter' sentiment. You can make name tags instead using the Bold Block alphabet stamp set if you prefer or create different themes for any occasion and season!

Happy spring, peeps!

Hello hello! I've got a fun little card to share with you that utilizes Fun Stampers Journey's Love Is punch to create clouds.

Just arrange the medium and large heart from the punch as shown and you have some lovey little clouds!

Add the "100% Chance of Love" sentiment from the Hello Puddles set and you'll have a sweetheart of a card!

Want just a bit more love? Draw a few little hearts on the card base with the Journey Pigment Maker and add the little pink heart shaped button from the Journey Color Buttons II set to the sentiment.

Tea Cup Bunny

Oh happy day! I'm excited to share this card with you that I created with my favorite Easter stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey!

It's so much fun and relaxing to sit down and color! I used our Fusion Blender solution and re-inkers to paint this Easter Wishes bunny.

The background was done using ink pads and sponges. While I was in Arizona last Kim Kesti taught me the secret of getting this nicely blended smooth effect. You need to hold your sponge so that it's just a little rounded end where there are no edges that would make streaks on your paper. I also dabbed my sponge on a scratch piece of paper right after applying ink so that I could removed the darkest bit of ink first.

After finishing the background, I splattered a little silver silk on top. For accents, I didn't want to use anything that would draw your eye away from the bunny so I simply added vellum and white clouds.

Easter

Good day! I have a hip-pity hop-pity Easter card to share with you today using my favorite Easter stamp set, Easter Wishes, from from Fun Stampers Journey.

I lightly painted these two with re-inkers and our Fusion Blender solution. I think of Dan and Christopher when I look at these adorable rabbits holding paws.

Lately I've been seeing dies on the market that incorporate a word into a tag or card base and...

...I thought I could create something similar with one of the Spring Celebrations dies. I simply measured the width of this sentiment and cut a rectangle the same.

Card details includes a Canvas Prints background stamp, Dark Roast Silk splatters and a lovely Cocoa Powder Gingham Ribbon bow. Yum! I like the way the splatters match my quail eggs!

Happy spring and happy Easter everyone! It's such a glorious season!

Happy Birthday

Hello hello! I have a colorful Fun Stampers Journey birthday card to share with you today using a leftover pinwheel from yesterday's project post.

This pretty polka-dot pinwheel was too cute not to have a project of it's own!

And guess who's turning 50 in just a few days? Yep! I can't believe it either! I don't even feel close to being 50 which is a great 50th birthday present...great health!

Spring Pinwheels

Hello! We're continuing to have beautiful spring weather here in North Carolina. A couple of the trees in the yard are covered in blossoms and a pair of house finches are building a nest in one our our lanterns at the front door! It's a lovely time of year!

Spring craft projects are another thing to love about spring, like these pinwheels made with Fun Stampers Journey Spring Parade patterned papers.

A little candy makes every project a little sweeter, don't you think?

Creating these double pinwheels is super simple! Just cut two 4" x 4" squares and two 3" x 3" squares. Then  make a cut from each of the corners down to the center stopping about 1/2" to an 1" before the center. Now, with your Press Punch tool, make holes in the center of each square and one on every other flap as shown in the photo above.

Next take a brad and thread it through the center hole of your larger square from the back. Then fold over every other flap attaching it to the brad.

Once your large pinwheel is completed and before you secure the brad, add the smaller square and repeat the same steps as with the large square. Once all your flaps are attached, carefully switch it from the back to the front. And there you have a double pinwheel! I dressed up my brads with a couple Journey Color Buttons and attached all to a bamboo skewer with a dab of hot glue.

Paper Easter Carrots

Hey peeps! I have a quick, easy and Fun Stampers Journey Easter project to share with you today...a basket of paper carrots filled with yummy Easter treats!

I know you've seen these around before...they're typically called yogurt containers.

With just a few of your Fun Stampers Journey supplies you can whip up a basket of them in no time!

One 12" x 12"  piece of patterned paper will yield a half dozen carrots! Just cut your sheet of paper in 4" by 6" pieces. Then add some White Liner tape to one of the 4" sides, roll to close. Tip: I used a toilet paper roll to help me roll my paper.

Use another strip of White Liner tape to close the first end as show above.

Now cut two 2" x 2" piece of Limeade Splash card stock and snip them with the Fringe Shears as shown.

Ad fringed card stock using some Journey Craft Glue while closing the top of your carrot at the same time. Need the perfect little basket to display or give your carrots away in? The new Basket Makery steel rule die is at your service!
