Thank You

Hello everyone! I have a quick and easy card to share with you today created with patterned paper and basic shapes.

Simply pick one of your favorite Fun Stampers Journey shapes and patterned paper set and use them multiple times on a card or scrapbook page!

Keeping the accents and sentiment simple is best when using this technique so that you don't cover up too much of your fun and colorful background. And using vellum helps with this too since you can see through it.

The Journey Circles set is probably the most used die set in my collection! How about you? Do you have a go to die or die set?

Thank You

Hello everyone! Wednesday already? Gettin' close to another weekend!

Today I have a thank you card to share with you that I made with a bunch of yummy goodies from Fun Stampers Journey.

Stars, embossing and ribbon, oh my!

This was a blast to create, except for the teeny little dots of Cool Pool Splash that I got on the carpet! Oops. If I do that again I might have to splatter the entire carpet to make it look like that's the way it's supposed to be!

Speaking of the background...it was made with Cool Pool Paint, Splash and re-inker.

Have a great hump day!

I created this fun design with the Special Day stamp and die sets from Fun Stampers Journey.

I love the mod look of this mix of stamps and dies.

Thank You

Hello! I have a thank you card to share with you today that I created with Richard Garay's Celebrations collection using the Sunny Days stamps and dies set...which is perfect for just about any summertime project!

I started this card by creating an A2 size card base with the Whirl White card stock and then stamping it with a simple cloud background.

Then I added a die cut Pierced Rectangle that I splattered with a bit of silver shimmer. Then I layered that with a sun and more clouds, creating multiple cuts for dimension. To make the circle for the center of the sun I used one of the circles from the Confetti Plate die.

To add a bit of texture to my clouds I embossed them. When you die cut and emboss, you want to do the die cutting first. If you emboss first, your embossing will get flattened out when you run your paper through the machine for the second time.

I also created a matching envelope using the Celebrations Special Occasions Prints patterned paper.

All the Celebrations supplies I used to create this sunny thank you are listed below. Hope you enjoyed the project! If you have any questions about this project, please leave it on a comment.

Celebrations Supplies: SCSD-009 Sunny Days Stamps and Dies Set; SCD-026 All You Die Set; SCD--016 Confetti Plate Die; SCD-012 Pierced Rectangles Die Set; SCF-001 Framed Canvas Embossing Folder; SCP-001 Sea Spray Card Stock; SCP-005 Odacious Orange Card Stock;  SCP-007 Luscious Lime Card Stock; SCP-013 Whirl White Card Stock; SCP-018 Celebrations Special Occasion Prints Patterned Paper; SCI-001 Berry Black Ink Pad; SCL-002 Silver Shimmer

Anna Griffin on HSN

This weekend I hadn't planned on being away from my blog for three days, but that's how things turned out. I spent time with my boys and just had too much fun to step foot in the office! Today I'm back, refreshed and ready to share and create more projects for you like this card from Anna Griffin's new Juliet collection debuting last week on HSN.

Oh How I love the patterned papers, dimensional embellishments and gold foil accents from this line!

Along with the new Juliet collection, Anna shared an amazing new embossing tool called Mix & Match Embossing Folders and Dies that allow you to create beautifully embossed backgrounds while adding matching sentiments at the same time.

Here's another card I created with the Juliet collection and Anna's new Paisley Patterns Embossing Folders & Dies. These are embossing patterns are so detailed and gorgeous, don't you think?

Anna is currently working on her next set of collections and HSN show. And I'm look forward to showing you just how easy it is to use them and create lots of fun projects!

Thank You

Hello! I've got a quick and easy thank you card share for you today using up some scrap bin papers and a some awesome Reverse Confetti stamps and Confetti Cuts.

For this card I dug through my scraps bin and collected four patterned papers that coordinated and used three of them for the background and the last, the shabby brown paper, I used to make the Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts. These chevrons are made for A2 size cards...perfect fit and an awesome accent for any occasion.

Scraptastic Thursday Challenge - Arrows

Hello, hello! Today Roree Vaillancourt and I have a challenge for you over on the Scraptastic Club blog to use arrows on a project. For this challenge, I made two cards using the gorgeous November 2014 Free Fallin' kit.

My first card has three die cut arrows layered on a wood grained scalloped circle to create a background for the card's sentiment. This frames the sentiment and creates dimension.

For my second card I went a bit arrow crazy and used an entire set of arrow dies to make positive and negative cuts.

So what kind of arrow project would you create?

I just has a paper crafter's flashback! Remember Scenic Route Paper Company and all the gigantic and fun shaped arrows they had? Ahh...good stuff! ;)

Wonderful Washi

You gotta love washi ! It comes in so many lovely colors and patterns and there's a million and one things you can do with the stuff! I have a Crafts - Washi Tape board on Pinterest that's loaded with ideas and creations. Recently I pinned this washi stickers post which gave me the idea for today's card design.

Instead of creating stickers, I used the negative punches as a design for my project. I used some of my favorite Decorative Tapes from Bella Blvd. and a die cut sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

What have you made with washi lately?

Thank You

Now that I've managed to chase our kitty, Oreo, out of the Christmas tree, I can share with you a thank you card I made recently using Pebbles' beautiful Front Porch collection.

Wouldn't this be great to send to your Thanksgiving hostess? Actually it could be used any time of year...that's what I love about Front Porch...it's versatility. I've been using it a lot for Christmas themed projects too that you will be seeing soon.

The card's is pretty simple, just a couple patterned papers, a couple die cuts, a pretty flower sticker and jute. A quick question for you...do you prefer clean and simple designs or my more layered with lots of goodies? Or both?

Since I began my post telling you about Oreo climbing the tree, I thought I'd share this photo. It was taken last Friday when we put the tree up. It's currently Oreo's favorite holiday activity! He lays on the branches as if perched comfortably on the sofa! Notice the Hallmark ornament? Kitty trying to reach the mistletoe? It's from the Mischievous Kitty series! ;)

I wouldn't know a thing about mischievous kitties now, would I? ;)
