Friday Sketch with Bella Blvd.

T.G.I.F! How many of you are going to spend some time crafting this weekend? I've got a lot of projects to work on so I will. Plus we've had a lot cold and snowy weather which makes hanging out in the craft room the perfect way to spend a few hours!

Today over on the Bella Blvd. blog there's an awesome sketch using pennants for a focal point that you can use to jump start your crafty weekend projects. Here's what I made...

Aren't pennants fun! Such a cool way to create lots of layers and texture!

Hello Friend

We're snowed in today! Again! Which means more craft time! Yay! And a break in between to build a snowman!

Today I have a Reverse Confetti card to share with you...one that I made during these snow days we've been having so much of.

I've lost count of how many cards I've created with this Pretty Panels Heart Love Confetti Cut. It's such a great piece for a focal point and for layering.

Recently on a trip to Michael's for yarn I found these cork shaped hearts. Oh how they add lovely texture, don't they?

Before I go...here's a view from my third floor attic/craft room. So pretty!

Congrats!

I've got a see-through card to share with you today that I created with Bella Blvd's awesome new Invisibles transparency sheets and the Star Student collection.

I love the look of clear cards, don't you? And this doodled design is just so much fun and perfect for school projects!

Love You

Hey Scraptastic Club fans! What do you think of the new kits coming out for March? I'm stalking my mailman anxious to get mine! But before I move on to another kit I thought I'd share another card I created with this month's It Takes Two kit.

One of my add-on favorites this month are the Crate Paper Kiss Kiss layered stickers. I love the dimension of them and the gold glitter accenting!

I also added a bit of ruffled crape paper from my stash. Once upon a time I purchased that on Etsy and was saving it because it's too cool too use! lol Gotta stop doing that so I've been on a mission to dig up old items and use them!

Garden Party

This is the time of year I catch a bad case of spring fever and love to create projects with pastel colors and lots of flowers as found in Pebbles' Garden Party collection.

The floral background paper is a favorite in the line along with these cut-apart square sentiments. Isn't this collection beautiful? I think I'll set this card on my dresser so I can enjoy it and dream of spring! Oh so close, but not until a few more snowflakes fall which is scheduled for this afternoon! :)

Keep Calm and Hop On

Even though it's been bitterly cold here in the Raleigh, North Carolina area this week I'm noticing signs of spring. Daylight hours are lengthening and buds are forming on the trees. Soon Easter will arrive and Bella Blvd's adorable new Simply Spring collection is perfect for making cards, decor and more!

I just love this Keep Calm and Hop On Daily Details card! Too fun...along with the Chipboard Icon Bunny. See how I gave bunny an Enamel Dot cotton tail and a little bow for a collar? As if she wasn't cute enough already! :)

Donut Love

With the frightful weather we've been having in my neck of the woods, indoor crafting has been a great way to spend my day, in between sledding down the driveway, drinking cocoa and playing PayDay with Christopher!

I couldn't resist participating in this week's Curtain Call, Donut Delight. After all, when you have die cut donuts as yummy as these from Reverse Confetti, how could you not play along?!?!

What's a donut without sprinkles? Reverse Confetti makes the cutest and detailed dies!

Happy

Oh happy day, I have a non-Valentine card to share with you that I made with Scraptastic Club's It Takes Two kit! I've made lots of love cards with this month's kit, but you can use it for so much more like birthdays, friendship, etc.

I also snagged that adorable Kraft tag from January's Sweater weather kit. I think it makes an awesome combination with the soft pastel papers.

I've been on a kick to use up old doodads which is where my little bow/crepe paper/flowers combo comes from...all have been stashed away far too long....so go forth and mix and match your Scraptastic Club kits and add a few bits of stashed treasures for good measure!

Forever

I can't seem to get enough Valentine card crafting or the It Takes Two kit from Scraptastic Club! Here's another one of my weekend creations.

Ooh la la, Scraptastic Club has been including some amazing acrylic accents in there kits over the past couple months. The 'forever' sentiment is one of them. Isn't it awesome! I also used a few wood accents from the Heart it Races kit. Love the texture wood brings to my projects!
