Pinterest Inspired

What did we do before Pinterest?!?! Today on the Bella Blvd. blog a few of the designers used this  beautiful citrus colored image to inspire our projects.

Taking cue from the color scheme I created this card with a focus on Bella Blvd's lovely Crochet Hearts.

Reminds me of my rainbow sorbet which sounds good about now!

Focusing on the same colors, making green the more prominent color, I came up with this second card design.

What would you create with this image in mind? I'm tempted to make that lovely paper chain background! It's so fun! To see what my talented teammates created, click here.

Round Feathers?

T.G.I.F! I've been gravitating towards circles lately and had an idea to take Bella Blvd's feathers and run them though my die cutter to make them round. It worked!

You can get several size circles from each feather. Please note: keep a trash can at the ready and and turn off the overhead ceiling fan when cutting your feathers...you could have tiny bits of feathers wafting about the room and find them in your hair hours later! ;)

I also used the new Snapshots collection along with two different size High-Five alphas to create my card. I adore all the little house icons in this line...making it perfect for welcome home cards.

I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Thanks so much for your visit!

Typography

It's Monday and on the Bella Blvd. blog we're focusing on lettering. The design team has created projects for you using the many Bella Blvd. alphabet options.

I made two cards...for the first I combined Punch colored Sienna Chip and Black-White High Five alphas with the fun new Snapshots collection.

The size of Sienna Chip is perfect for cards and scrapbook pages alike.

For my second card I used Bella Blvd's signature Alpha+Bits font and the brand new spook-tacular Trick or Treat line.

Both these collections are so eye catching and colorful, don't you think? And with the assortment of lettering products that Bella Blvd. offers, there are unlimited ways to add sentiments to cards and titles to scrapbook pages and decor projects.

What do you think of Snapshots and Trick or Treat? I look forward to seeing all your projects popping up on blogs, galleries and Facebook!

Hope you week gets off to a great start! Thanks for stopping by! :)

T.G.I.F!

I have two cards to share with you all this fine Friday. Both from Bella Blvd. collections, one for birthday and the other for love.

When I create a card design that I particularly like, I sometimes re-create it at a later date using a different theme. Last year I made the Thanksgiving card below and thought it would also make a festive birthday greeting using Birthday Girl. What do you think?

My next card was created with Bella Blvd's Love and Marriage line. I think any day is the perfect time to express your love for someone special. :)

One of my favorite Bella Blvd. accents are the Crochet Hearts as I've used here. They come in ten gorgeous colors and add fabulous texture to projects!

Well, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I'm off to the grocery store this morning, but I have a play date scheduled in my craft room this afternoon. I'm looking forward to an iced latte and playing with paper and glue!

Play Date

When Christopher was a little guy we had a lot of play dates! Sometimes it was just he and daddy in the backyard swinging and other times he and I got together with a few moms and kids in the neighborhood. There were always photos to scrapbook of the kids digging in the sandbox or going down the slide and Bella Blvd's Play Date is the perfect collection for preserving these fond memories.

Play Date is also great for all occasion cards, don't you think? I've been drawn to circles lately and used my set of Spellbinders Nestibilities to create this card. Wouldn't this paper and circle dies also make a great scrapbook page of blowing bubbles? There's so many possibilities!

Are you ready for a Play Date? ;) Have fun!

Snapshots

I have a new favorite paper collection! It's called Snapshots from Bella Blvd. Before I left on vacation a couple weeks ago I received the new lines that Bella Blvd. debuted at CHA and I couldn't wait to sit down and play.

Here's what I came up with. Oh how I love these bright happy colors, whimsical patterns and brand new Paper Pieces! And I can't resist layering lots of goodies together using adhesive foam tape for plenty of depth.

I think these adorable little houses are perfect for a house warming card, don't you?

How about another vacation photo before I go? As I was sitting at the beach watching Dan and Christopher play in the waves and enjoying the fresh air, I looked over and saw our pile of crocs and thought they were colorful and would make a great photo.

Ah...the memories! :)

Crafting with Bella Blvd.

Continuing on with my exercise to play and experiment without worry of assignments or deadlines, I pulled out more thin metal dies and one of my favorite Bella Blvd. collections, Birthday Girl, to create this card.

My goal, besides having fun, is to try new dies and to mix and match a combination of elements I might not have thought of before. I used a pennant, notebook paper and circles frame die all from My Favorite Things. So, what do you think? Do you like? Is it too busy for your taste? Do you have a favorite part?

All the new Bella Blvd. collections just released at CHA arrive at my doorstep tomorrow, if the UPS man doesn't get a flat on the way! ;) It's been really hard to see all the fun new products floating around the web and not having them in hand to play with! Tomorrow that all changes and I look forward to making a lot of fun new projects for you! :)

Thanks for visiting! Have a super day!
