Happy Birthday Jackie!

Today is Jackie's birthday, one of my sisters-in-law so I dug out one of my favorite Bella Blvd. collections, Birthday Girl and made her this card.

I included another of my loopy crochet flowers I showed you how to make in this post.

I hope you have a lovely birthday, Jackie! :)

In other exciting news...I received my box of Chickaniddy Crafts collections!

Wow! I'm impressed with the quality of the paper, the designs, the color schemes and I can't wait to start playing...and sharing! :)

Happy Birthday

"They say it's your birthday! It's my birthday too, ya!" Well, not until March, but I bet you know someone who's celebrating their big day this month and SEI's January Cardmaking Kit will make it super easy for you to create a colorful cards and gifts! For this post I made a birthday card and matching pillow box that's perfect for stowing candies, small items or gift cards.

With all the sweet treats accents included in the January kit, I decided to go with an ice cream gift card so I topped the pillow box with a festive, glittery ice cream cone sticker. "I scream, you scream, we all scream....for ice cream!" It's a tradition on my birthday to have ice cream cake from Baskin Robins. Just two more months!

Would you like to see more birthday gift ideas? Here's a peek at the project posted this week on the SEI Lifestyle blog. Hope you can go take a look....there's a gift bag to go along with it!

Pretty Pastels

Today I have a birthday card to share with you created with a soft color palette from Pebbles' Basics collection. I'm often drawn to bright contrasting colors, but I also enjoy creating something different from time-to-time.

I love the simple patterns of this line...polka dots and flowers, they coordinate beautifully along with a sprinkling of pennants, buttons, baker's twine and a mini clothespin.

Well, I'm in a creative mood this morning so I'm going to wrap up this post and go make something else to share with you! Thanks for stopping in! I hope you have a terrific Thursday! :)

Happy Birthday

Hello Monday! After a fun and exciting Bella Blvd. reveal week, I'm happy to get back into sharing my own crafty creations with you! It's always a lot of fun to play with Pebbles' Party with Amy Locurto collections!

Bright colors, whimsical prints and accent stickers make it a breeze to whip up adorable cards like this mermaid design. She puts a smile on my face! My niece, who was visiting a week ago, thought this would make a cool birthday party invitation. I agree! How about you?

Hope you have a good start to your week!

Happy Birthday

T.G.I.F! I'm ending the week with a birthday card post using Doodlebug's Take Note collection. Do you like office themed accents and papers? This line has so many cute ones! My favorites include the Mini Doodle Pop 3-D pencil, pushpin and scissors!

A perfect addition is the tiny paper clip made by Tim Holtz. I use them on so many projects! I fear the day they're no longer manufactured! ;)

So...what will you do over the weekend? Mine will be the usual combination of relaxing, house keeping, errands and...who knows? You know what I'm really looking forward to? A trip to the NC mountains in a few weeks with the hubs. We're going to hike the waterfalls and try zip-lining. The week after that is our annual family beach trip. Every year, towards the end of summer, Dan, Christopher and I go to the beach for a few days of family time, swimming in the ocean, exploring and dining. Christopher has been counting down the days since our last trip! :)

On the Cover!

Here in the U.S. we'll be celebrating our country's birthday this Thursday! I hope you all enjoy the festivities! Speaking of birthdays, Paper Crafts' Birthday Creations magazine hit the stands! And guess what? I made the cover! That's my birthday card!

This issue is packed with fabulous birthday party decor, cards, gift tags and packaging ideas for your next birthday party! I loved pouring through it from cover-to-cover! So much crafty inspiration! And guess what? I have another card within it's pages! Woot! Page 76!

For the remainder of the week, I have a lot of patriotic posts in honor of July Fourth. I hope you can stop by and see them! Have a great day! :)

July Birthdays?

Hello!

How many of you are celebrating a birthday in July? Or know someone special who has a summertime birthday? I had a reader tell me the other day that her birthday is on July 4th! How fun would that be to have fireworks on your big day?!?!

I created this birthday greeting with Doodlebug's awesome new Stars and Stripes collection and if you're thinking of picking up this line at your local scrapbook store, it's great for summer birthday cards too! My favorite part of this card are the bicycles! Oh, and the pinwheel! ;)

Enjoy your day!

Happy Birthday

Hi!

With Christopher's birthday arriving next week, the family is about to embark on a train ride to celebrate the big day. I've got a picnic lunch packed, tuna salad sandwiches, chips, bananas and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Christopher's very excited and can't wait to get going!

I created this birthday card with Doodlebug's new Fruit Stand collection. I think these colorful patterned papers are perfect for pinwheels since they're double sided.

All aboard! And were off to ride the train!

Have a super weekend!

Party with Amy Locurto

Hello!

It's Monday. Do I hear some moans? Yep, Monday's aren't too much fun, are they? When I'm suffering from the Monday morning blues, I try and jump into my list of to-dos and before I know it I'm getting things done and feeling a little better. How about you? What get's you going on Mondays? An extra cup of coffee?  Making it a three day weekend? ;)

How about a cheerful card share? Maybe that will help bring a little sunshine to your Monday?

I created this card with the new Party with Amy Locurto line from Pebbles. Talk about color and fun! Love working with this collection!

Well, I hope you have a good Monday!
