Handmade Cards

Have you seen Paper Craft's latest special issue, Handmade Cards? I found mine in the mailbox a few days ago and put everything else on hold to flip through it. After just a few pages, I wanted to run to my craft room and start playing! There are so many unique ways to use the supplies I already have!

Within the pages of this issue you will find one of my designs using washi and stickers from Doodlebug's Fruit Stand collection.

I had a lot of fun creating this card...adding a strip of washi here and a sticker there. There's lots of white space which makes these colorful Doodlebug supplies pop!

Did you enjoy the weekend? Did you participate in any of the World Card Making Day blog activities? What did you think of all the Bella Blvd. card creations? I was like a kid in a candy store all weekend ogling over the cards! Lots of them were showing up on Pinterest too!

Hope you have a great Monday! :)

Playing with Doodlebug

I feel my work is in of bit of a rut lately, that I'm using the same techniques over and over again so I thought it would be a good exercise to just to play and experiment without worry of assignments or deadlines.

As a result of my paper play session, I created this card with a set of heart dies and Doodlebug's Fruit Stand collection. I also pulled out some old Doodlebug sequins...remember them, lots of fun shapes and colors? It's funny how trends come and go and how much we're seeing sequins back in the spotlight.

So what do you think of my card? Like? Don't like? What's your favorite part? I always enjoy thinking of a new way to use something so I really like the glassine bag with a partial heart cut.

I enjoyed this exercise so much that I'm going to make time to do more today. Thanks for stopping by. Have a terrific Tuesday!

1000 Posts!

I can't believe I'm preparing my 1,000th post today! That's a lot of crafty sharing and I thank you for being part of it! I had no idea when I started this blog five years ago that it would be what it is today. I had never been on a manufacturer's design team or had my work published. It's been a lot of fun and I've meet so many other fabulous bloggers! I can't wait to see where things go over the next 1,000 posts. Thanks for sharing this journey with me!

Today I have a couple of Doodlebug Design cards to show you created with the Fruit Stand collection.

Oh how I love Doodlebug! Can you see why? :)

Hope you have an excellent day!

Happy Birthday

Hi!

With Christopher's birthday arriving next week, the family is about to embark on a train ride to celebrate the big day. I've got a picnic lunch packed, tuna salad sandwiches, chips, bananas and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Christopher's very excited and can't wait to get going!

I created this birthday card with Doodlebug's new Fruit Stand collection. I think these colorful patterned papers are perfect for pinwheels since they're double sided.

All aboard! And were off to ride the train!

Have a super weekend!

What's Up?

Hi!

Are you ready for a great weekend? I'm dressed and ready to go on a little junk hunt! The sun is shinning and the temperatures are lovely. It's the perfect morning for perusing the flea market.

Before I head out I thought I'd jump on the computer and post this pinwheel card I created last week with Doodlebug's Fruit Stand collection and some Studio Calico wood accents.

I absolutely adore pinwheels! They're just fabulous, aren't they? I bet you can't hold a pinwheel and not smile! :)

Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for visiting! :)

Good Times

Good day!

I have a warm weather, colorful, happy card share for you today. You ready? ;)

This card was created with Doodlebug's new Fruit Stand collection. LOVE those Popsicle Mini Doodle Pops! They look good enough to eat, don't they?

We're expecting another 80+ degree day today. Crazy! Just a few days ago the high for the day was 50 degrees. We're jumping from winter to summer in a single leap!

Well, I've been spending a lot of time outside. I've been in the garden playing and enjoying things before the humidity and mosquitoes come into play.

I hope you have a lovely day! Thanks for visiting! :)

Fruit Stand on a Stick

Hello!

How about a project share created with a brand new collection from Doodlebug Design? They released this yummy line called Fruit Stand at winter CHA and it's so colorful, fun and has juicy summertime fruits printed all over it!

I adore pinwheels and thought this collection was perfect for them. I used all twelve patterned papers along with some stickers and accents for the tag. Do you like?
