Sunnyside

How was your Fourth of July? Ours was lovely! I didn't think I'd miss posting from my blog the entire weekend, but we were having so much fun that I never stepped foot in my office. It's important to do that from time-to-time, don't you think?

As the 2012-2013 Pebbles design team term comes to a close, I'm reminded of the first projects I created with the beautiful Sunnyside collection and I enjoyed bringing it out again to create a couple more cards for  you.

What do you think? Do you like Sunnyside as much as I do? And Polaroid frames? I recently got this Polaroid thin metal die from My Favorite Things...it is quickly becoming a go-to die!

Well, it's going to be a bit tough today to ease back into the weekday routine. Christopher just headed off to school...his first day of 7th grade. He was quite nervous because he's been told that in 7th grade he'll be working even harder. Maybe that will mean homework on weekends? He's an honor roll student so I have faith that he'll do wonderfully!

Hope you all have a good Monday. Thanks for stopping by!

Spring Dreams and Giveaway Winner

Hello!

I'm already dreaming of spring and it's not even winter or Christmas yet! Oh boy! It's my favorite season and when I miss it, I like to create something that reminds me of why I enjoy it so much.

These lovely papers and accents are from Pebbles' Sunnyside collection. I'm crazy about the dimensional butterflies and mini wood clothespins!

So, what's your favorite season? I know a lot of you really like fall and wish it would continue on a little longer. Are there any of you who like winter best? Or summer? Have you ever dreamed that your favorite season lasted all year long? Sometimes I do, but I really would miss the changing seasons and the beauty of each one.

Before I close, I'd like to announce the winner for yesterday's all occasion card set giveaway. Congratulations Lin from the Sending Hugs blog!

I hope you all have a lovely holiday weekend! I'll be back tomorrow with my scrapbook page for the new write. click. scrapbook. monthly gallery.

Page Maps

Good day! :)

Recently, I had the pleasure of creating a scrapbook page with one of Becky Fleck's Page Maps sketches for the Month of October!

Here's my page using the colorful Sunnyside collection from Pebbles.

These two sweeties and their mama were spotted in our front yard this summer.

All the pretty flowers and birds from the Sunnyside line are perfect for this outdoor page.

I hid my journaling under the title pennant. So often I get so absorbed in playing that I forget to leave a space for the story. Not good! Lucky for me there are lots of options for hidden journaling.

I had to throw in some die cut clouds, making sure I used one of the negative cuts.

Oh deer, these two are so beautiful! I bet they've lost their spots by now.

If you would like to see more October sketches from Becky and see the projects my Pebbles teammates created with them, click here.

Have a super day! :)

My Boys

Hi!

Did you have a good weekend? Ours was lovely. I worked on the blanket I'm crocheting for Christopher and I'm learning to knit too so I did some practicing. I also learned to crochet a flower! It's a little too big to put on a card because I used a thicker yarn, but if I get something thinner and a smaller hook, I can make flowers for my paper craft projects! Wouldn't that be fun? And I could try and make a flower out of baker's twine. Have you seen some of the crochet twine projects floating around in blog-land and Pinterest?

Today on the Pebbles blog we've created projects by combining our favorite collections.

Do you know which two lines I've mixed together here?

If you guessed Sunnyside and Walnut Grove, you guessed right!

I love the mix of patterns...wood grain, text, checks, stripes and polka dots!

I used the Silhouette to create the title and chevron stripes.

My boys, my husband and son, I love these two! This photograph was taken while we were at our local pumpkin patch a few years back.

I hope you have a great start to your week. I'm going to run downstairs and throw together a pot of split pea soup for my lunches this week. It's raining today and sounds so good!

Thanks for visiting!

First Pebbles Design Team Projects

Hello!

I’m so excited today to share with you my first Pebbles design team projects!

Oh what fun it was to create with the new Sunnyside collection! I fell in love with the Dimensional Butterflies and the corrugated ABC stickers!

I’ve been on a kick with the mini Polaroid accents and I’ll let you in on my secret for making them, the Spellbinder’s square Nestabilities set. Just die cut your square and trim around it. Easy!

It’s like being a kid in a candy store playing with all these yummy Pebbles goodies!

Don't you love the texture of these alphas?

Another favorite trend I'm enjoying is making negative dies cuts as I did here for part of the sentiment.

I often make pinwheels for my projects. They're so fun and add the dimension I like so much.

I'm looking forward to the year ahead, creating Pebbles projects for you! To see who else is joining me on the team and to see their first projects, click here. There have been introductions throughout last week and continue this week.

Thanks for dropping by! Have a terrific Tuesday!

Lego City USA

Hello!

Over the past mother's day weekend Dan, Christopher and I went to a Brick Magic Festival and I just got around to scraping this photo of a Lego city street scene we saw there. It's impressive to see what can be built with Legos!

This page was created with the Sunnyside collection from Pebbles. I think the bright and happy colors are a perfect match for Lego!

I used negative dies for my title. Funny, but the picture looks like I added alpha dies to the top of my tags, doesn't it?

One of my favorite things about this Pebbles line is the corrugated alphabets!

Wait, maybe my favorite is the clothespins? That's a tough one! ;)

Oh wait! Have you seen these decorative tape stickers? These are way too cool! They even have textured creases to make them look realistic!

My son loves when I create pages about his favorite subjects!

Thanks for popping in!

Hello

Hi!

I have a bright and happy 'hello' card share for you today using the Happy Go Lucky collection from Pebbles.

I'm at it again with negative die cuts! I love them!

I also love this dimensional flower, also from Pebbles, from their Sunnyside line.

You can't have too many flowers, butterflies or clouds can you?

Do you like?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Hello Love

Hi!

Don't you just love chevron stripes? They're so much fun and stylish! Recently I purchased a set of chevron dies from Papertrey Ink and finally got around to creating something with them.

Aren't these papers and accents lovely? They are part of the oh so awesome Sunnyside collection from Pebbles.

I made flags from a couple of the Accent and Phrase Stickers.

These pretty little rosettes were created with one of my go-to dies from Tim Holtz.

I think the little yellow bird is my favorite part of this card! He was the last touch I added and he just makes me smile!

Thanks so much for stopping in today! :)
