You Are My Shining Star

Hey!

It's been three days since my last post! Not good! I didn't mean to ignore you my bloggy friends! :) I had a rare weekend alone with my hubs and then today I just didn't feel like getting back into work yet so I stole my gal pal away for lunch and a little junk hunt. It was fun to be spontaneous like that!

So, tonight I'm back in commission packing Etsy orders and I finished this card.

The patterned papers and sentiment tag are from a new digital kit at Two Peas in a Bucket called 'Starbright'by Polka Dot Pixels. Wow, these are some fun and colorful papers! Wouldn't they work fabulously for some Fourth of July pinwheels?!?! I just might print some out and make a batch!

And what do you think of the stitching? One of my fave scrapbookers Kinsey Wilson posted a page the other day that was out of this world amazing and she explained how she did it! I had to give it a whirl! It's rather labor intensive but oh so impressive!

I want to make a scrapbook page with stitching like this...it's just that awesome!

Well, since I was playing much of the day, I have to run and catch up on a few things. I hope you enjoyed the card and have time to hop over to see Kinsey's amazing blog and work...she's truly an original! :) Kathy

This card brings back childhood memories for me! Just as Kinsey described on her blog, as a kid I would draw curly loops on a piece of paper and then color the different parts in with crayons. I never would have thought of making a beautiful card or scrapbook page using that process though. Your card is AMAZING and FABULOUS!!!
