Bella Blvd. Cards on Thursday

Hello!

Today's a great day to stop by this ol' blog because I have four cards to share with you! I think that's a record! Today is Bella Blvd's Cards on Thursday so there are even more cards on the Bella Blvd blog.

For this first card I felt like playing with some Designer Tape.

I used some Ciao Chip Alphabets as a pattern for my stitched sentiment.

Most times I use a single strand of thread, but I doubled up here for a more pronounced look.

A couple more Ciao Chip accents, a Flag and stitched heart were used to dress the card up.

I had so much fun with the Designer Tape on the first card that I thought I'd do another. The Jailbird and Orange Stripe designs are perfect for Halloween. If you look closely, you will see the stitched patterned I created for the background.

These fun little chipboard embellishments are from the oh so spook-tacular Too Cute to Spook collection.

For my third card I have more stripes, this time they're created with patterned paper.

This fabulous new fall line is called Thankful.

Lots of zigzag stitching and some High Five Alphabets for the sentiment.

Some of my favorite cards to make are those that show how to use up your scraps, how to use themed collections for something different and how to mix a match different lines. This card does all three.

What do you think of the stitched sun rays? I like how they overlap and some clouds and go behind others.

There you go, four completely different themes for today's post. To see the cards my teammates created, click here.

Have a wonderful day!

Bella Blvd. Cards on Thursday

Hey!

Wow, we've had some amazing weather this week! The past couple days were warm and summer-like with temperatures close to 80 degrees and today is the opposite, cold and rainy. A mix of everything!

Today I have a couple of fun card shares for you and the Bella Blvd. Cards on Thursday post.

I got to choose the Bella Blvd. collections that I want to use! I love free-for-all days because there are so many cool lines to choose from! For my ‘Family’ card I thought I’d take a break from holiday crafting, and use the Sunny Happy Skies collection.

These houses caught my eye … they’re so detailed, colorful and fun! Makes me want to move into that little neighborhood! I’d move into the red house with roof-top patio and shades lined with hearts!

After Halloween, I thought it was time to stash away the Too Cute to Spook line, but I didn’t want to! I’ve been having a good time playing with this line and decided to challenge myself to use it in a different way. So, I came up with this thank you card.

Usually when I sit down to make a thank you card, I start by choosing colors and accents like bright colors, butterflies and flowers. This time, going at it from a challenge to use a particular product, I ended up with a look I would have never thought of. I don’t think I would have used black for a thank you card, but I love the results!

Well, I have a special share tomorrow so I hope you can come back! I created my first scrapbook page using a picture of one of my new sugar gliders! I haven't even had the babies for two weeks yet, but one of them is a little friendlier and outgoing than the other so bonding is moving right along and I was able to get a few photos! The other is still to scared for a photo op so we'll just wait patiently, right? :)

Thanks for dropping in today! I hope you enjoyed the cards and you have a lovely day!

Woody

Hello!

T.G.I.F!

We're heading into another weekend! A fall weekend too. There's so many cool activities to participate in this time of year! Around my neck of the woods, there's a fall festival happening at Suzanne's Antiques and around the corner from there is a semi-annual flea market at another of my neighborhood vintage shops. You can bet I'll be there!

Today, I'm craftin' up a storm and I have a Halloween scrapbook page to share with you.

Here's Christopher dressed up as Woody! Last Halloween he picked this costume after seeing Toy Story with his dad over the summer.

I think Christopher made a very cute Woody! I tossed in a photo of his jack-o-lantern too. He always draws the face on paper, then I transfer it to the pumpkin for him.

I created this colorful page with the spook-tacular Halloween collection 'Too Cute to Spook' by Bella Blvd. Oh how I love this line, let me count the ways...or count the numerous projects I've created with it so far!!!

For the little flags, I used toothpicks and added a couple Bella Alpha Bits phrases. I used a die cut, to make the cool little rosettes! The Ciao Chip embellishments are awesome...I used a lot throughout the page.

There you have it...last year's costume page is done before this Halloween! I usually run about a year behind! By the time Halloween actually arrives, I'm usually up to my eyeballs in Christmas ornaments, cards and decor! I love it! That leaves my Halloween photos for next year and new collections to create with!

Hope you have a splendid weekend! Enjoy every moment and make some great memories!

World Card Making Day

Woot woot!

It's World Card Making Day! Yippee! Time to get out some pretty paper and get your craft on!

It's also October 1st and in our house that means we get to spook out the house! Eek! What a fun day! And in honor of this day, I have a creepy card share for you!

Actually, many of the Bella Artista gals have created cards to inspire you! So when your done here, hop over and have a look! There's also a new product peak for you that I think you're going to love!

Do you recognize these fabulous papers, die cut stickers and alphas? Yep, they're from the 'Too Cute to Spook' collection from Bella Blvd!

In addition to these cool and colorful Halloween papers and accents, I used a die cut button, a scalloped border punch and added a little hand stitching.

I look forward to hoping around blog land today, looking at all the great cards out there! I hope you enjoy all the activities of the day!

Trick or Treat

Hi!

No tricks...just a crafty card treat for you this Friday! :)

I'm at it again, playing with the Bella Blvd. 'Too Cute to Spook' collection. Havin' a spook-tacular good time!

I love this sticker with the creepy little houses! In my stash I have some of these fun little plastic ghosts that's perfect to creep out this neighborhood just a little more! I used some small straight pins to make the little flags. I've been using toothpicks, but for this card, I needed something a bit smaller.

What do you think of this little bat? Fun little addition I think!

So, what kind of plans do you have for the weekend. I have the typical mix of errands, crafts and relaxing planned. Oh, and just maybe I'll get a goody box at the door? New supplies to play with? That would make the weekend pretty cool! We'll see. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend!

Boo!

Boo!

Did I scare you? Okay, so my little ghost isn't the scariest of Halloween spooks! :)

Yesterday I posted a summertime card and today it's Halloween. I guess that's what happens when we're a couple days away from the official start of fall.

I couldn't wait until I got my Design Team box from Bella Blvd. to start having fun with their collections! And I didn't have to because the last time I was at Archivers, I picked up some of the 'Too Cute to Spook' goodies. Look at these fabulously colorful and fun Halloween prints!

This conversation bubble is part of the sticker sheet in the collection. I thought it would look cool to add a button.

This little ghost is a Silhouette die cut. I couldn't leave him alone either...I added the bow! Maybe that's why he has that shocked look on his face!

This lovely spider was at the bottom corner of this orange patterned paper and I made sure he made it onto my card!

Oh, if you stopped in yesterday I mentioned that I have been trying some new recipes on my boys! Thank goodness a lot of the recipes I find on Pinterest are good ones or the boys might not be so cooperative!

This is a very simple dish called Pasta with Shredded Chicken and Rosemary. It's just that! Well, and a bit of Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. It got a thumbs up!

This recipe is perfect for any left over chicken or rotisserie bird you pick up on the way home. I cooked some chicken in six minutes on the George Foreman grill...so that's another option! As for the rosemary, we have a large bush in our yard...what could be more simple?

A final note about this recipe...it calls for 2 tablespoons of fresh rosemary. Since I think fresh rosemary is quite fragrant, I used one tablespoon and it had plenty of rosemary flavor. Anyway, this is a perfect dish to experiment with so enjoy!
