Back to School

The kiddos are heading back to school so the Doodlebug design team has been creating some fun projects for students and teachers with the Take Note collection.

Every time our son gets a classroom supply list, composition notebooks are included. They're a bit dull on their own so I thought I'd spruce one up with Mini Doodle Pop 3-D office supply accents. I also made a few coordinating patterned paper bookmarks to earmark important pages.

This notebook is perfect for teachers too. Our niece is a teacher and I think she would love to have a special book for her classes. I guess I better make a few more! ;)

I hope you enjoyed my project. For more Doodlebug back-to-school project ideas, click here. Be sure to scroll through the entire week to see them all!

One last share before I go, something I learned last week while on vacation...coffee tastes better at the beach! And it tastes better in a real cup. I bring my own from home to reduce waste and sometimes I get a .25 cent discount! Woot! :)

Happy Birthday

T.G.I.F! I'm ending the week with a birthday card post using Doodlebug's Take Note collection. Do you like office themed accents and papers? This line has so many cute ones! My favorites include the Mini Doodle Pop 3-D pencil, pushpin and scissors!

A perfect addition is the tiny paper clip made by Tim Holtz. I use them on so many projects! I fear the day they're no longer manufactured! ;)

So...what will you do over the weekend? Mine will be the usual combination of relaxing, house keeping, errands and...who knows? You know what I'm really looking forward to? A trip to the NC mountains in a few weeks with the hubs. We're going to hike the waterfalls and try zip-lining. The week after that is our annual family beach trip. Every year, towards the end of summer, Dan, Christopher and I go to the beach for a few days of family time, swimming in the ocean, exploring and dining. Christopher has been counting down the days since our last trip! :)

Hello

T.G.I.F!

Guess what? I didn't have a project to share with you today! How can I leave you hanging on a Friday without something crafty and fun?!?! So...I whipped up this office themed card with Doodlebug's fun new Take Note collection.

What do you think of the circle die cut with the colorful paperclips? That was a last minute addition. I felt like the card needed something else. Do you think it adds to the design or do you think I should have left it out?

By-the-way, I have to tell you about a special sale that's going on at Bella Blvd.

Would you believe these boxes are loaded with Bella Blvd. goodies at 70% off retail? If you enjoy all the Bella Blvd. projects I share with you, go grab yourself a box before they're gone! :)

Take Note

Hello!

I have a scrapbook page share for you today. It's a page I created a few weeks ago that I submitted for publishing, twice. Two different publications and it was a no go for both. That's the way it goes...some projects get picked up and others don't. No matter, I love crafting!

I created this page with Doodlebug Designs' new Take Note collection.

There's so many awesome office supply accents in this line! Rulers, paper clips, pushpins, scissors, pencils, etc. It's perfect for school projects or cards for coworkers.

What do you think? Do you like the Take Note collection?

Have a great Tuesday!

Kiwi Lane

Hi!

How was your weekend? Spring finally arrived here in North Carolina and hubs and I got to spent time together while Christopher was away at camp. It was lovely to share a bottle of wine, enjoy the great outdoors and go out for sushi.

Starting the week off I have a team-up project to share with you. Doodlebug and Kiwi Lane swapped goodies and I created this card and gift set with their fabulous templates.

For my card I used the Chestnut Drive wavy borders to shape the green patterned paper.

For the goody box I used the Tiny Floral Accessory set. What do you think? I love the shape of that flower!
I think this set would be great for a teacher gift since it's made with Doodlebug's Take Note collection. You could tuck some chalk in the box or a gift card would fit nicely.

Hope you enjoyed the project and have a great beginning to your week! :)
