Star Student

Oops! I mixed up a couple of my Bella Blvd. posts. I was supposed to post this card last week and my Clear Cuts project today! Oh well...either way I get to share a project with you! ;)

For those of you who have a student(s) at home, Bella Blvd's new Star Student collection is perfect for creating layouts of your child's school years and cards for the graduate or teacher!

I adore this Geek Chic patterned paper with all the eye glasses and decided it would make a great background layer.

Eek! These little Trinket stickers are equally awesome for a school themed card and now Bella Blvd. has cool Enamel Dots that are perfect for anchoring them onto your project.

What's a school collection without a wise and cute owl sporting a mortar board?

Also new, that photo corner is from the new DooDads line...more enamel accents for creating extra fun projects!

They're Going Back!

It's time for the kiddos to return to school which means buying new school clothes and supplies. And at Bella Blvd. we're celebrating all week with back-to-school projects. For my project I used the adorable new Tiny Tots collections because the Alphabet Soup paper and apple images were just too perfect! This decorated lunch box tin can be used to store school supplies for the returning student or for a teacher's gift.

My little box contains some decorated mini composition books. You could also add some handmade bookmarks, decorative paperclips, etc. For the teacher, I bet a gift certificate from your local learning store would be appreciated!

This project was super fun and simple with a ton of cute sprinkled everywhere! :) To see what my talented teammates created click here to head over to the Bella Blvd. blog.

Enjoy!

Back to School

The kiddos are heading back to school so the Doodlebug design team has been creating some fun projects for students and teachers with the Take Note collection.

Every time our son gets a classroom supply list, composition notebooks are included. They're a bit dull on their own so I thought I'd spruce one up with Mini Doodle Pop 3-D office supply accents. I also made a few coordinating patterned paper bookmarks to earmark important pages.

This notebook is perfect for teachers too. Our niece is a teacher and I think she would love to have a special book for her classes. I guess I better make a few more! ;)

I hope you enjoyed my project. For more Doodlebug back-to-school project ideas, click here. Be sure to scroll through the entire week to see them all!

One last share before I go, something I learned last week while on vacation...coffee tastes better at the beach! And it tastes better in a real cup. I bring my own from home to reduce waste and sometimes I get a .25 cent discount! Woot! :)

Beach Photos

Hey!

We're back from the beach with a little more relaxed attitude, some great memories and pictures! Thought I'd pop in to share some of our photos with you.

Sunrise at Carolina Beach.

Gentle morning waves.

On the surface...lots of pretty little shells.

Enjoying the birds.

Beautiful sand dunes.

Catching some waves.

Now were getting ready for school to start next week, on Thursday. We'll be purchasing some class supplies and maybe a few clothes. Hopefully fifth grade, the last year of elementary school, will be a enjoyable for Christopher. :) Kathy

Back to the Daily Grind

As fun as the holidays were, and I really enjoyed our family time, it's nice to get Christopher back into his school routine and clean the house! I spent the entire day yesterday scrubbing porcelain, vacuuming carpets, moping wood, and clearing out dust bunnies. Ah, this house sparkles! Let's hope it lasts at least a day or two! Now it's time to get some work done...for me that means making cards and Valentine gifts for my business and scrapbooking our holiday memories. Here's a page with a photo from Christmas morning. Santa left the train Christopher asked for.
