Birthday Boy

Remember this Birthday Boy collection from Bella Blvd? It's so colorful and adorable and I still have a lot of it left so I thought I'd create a fun card to share with you today.

This sentiment makes me think of Christopher as he's rapidly growing lately and close to becoming as tall as I am! These past 14 years have flown by and I just can't believe my little guy is starting high school in the fall! Isn't time a funny thing? Sometimes it seems to creep by so slowly and at other times, years seem to pass by in the blink of an eye!

Enjoy them while they're small before they are as tall as you!

Friday Sketch

Today's post is bittersweet as it's my last as a Bella Blvd. design team member. I've been a part of the Bella Blvd. family for 3 1/2 years now, since their first design team and will miss working with all the incredibly crafty peeps over there!

For my last card I used today's Friday Sketch, the colorful new Invisibles and Color Chaos Strandz papers to create this fun and funky design.

It's been a wonderful three years, Bella Blvd! Thanks for a wonderful design team experience!

Hello Dears

I've got an sweet little deer card to share with you today that I created with Bella Blvd's new Campout collection.

One of my favorite papers in the line is the tree pattern. I love trees! Good thing too since I live in Wake Forest where the trees are about to grow their leaves back! Love, love, love springtime trees!

My next card, perfect for teacher or student, was made with the Star Student collection.

This line is so colorful and includes lots of cool school icons like apples, books, owls, alphabets and so much more! For scrapbooking school-year memories, this is a must have collection!

Easter Gift Giving - Bella Blvd. Style

I've got a fun little Simply Spring gift giving project to share with you today made with Bella Blvd's new Invisibles sheer plastic sheets. One of my favorite ways to use these Invisibles is to create fun shapes with them using dies.

If you're like me and have a lot of dies you will have a ton of creative options for doing this.!

I discovered this old Sizzix Originals plate and the Invisibles together make some pretty cool bread tags!

One of the tags was used for this bandage tin filled with Crayola colored pencils.

Colored pencils are a great alternative to giving candy for Easter! And a great way to share my love of crafting!

The pinwheel was created by simply cutting a four inch square from an Invisible. Then with an awl punch a small hole in the center of your square. Next cut straight lines from all four corners up to an inch from the center hole. Then make small holes in all four flap tips of the pinwheel. I used my Crop-O-Dile for this. Then fold over and line up each punched corner with the center hole using a brad to secure.

Bear Hug

Hello! One of the things I look forward to doing when warmer weather arrives is hiking! If you enjoy camping or other outdoor activities, the new Camp Out collection from Bella Blvd. is perfect for making pages of those outdoor memories. Or bear hug cards like this one.

I love the natural colors of this line and added a few touches of nature of my own with a wood clothespin accent and some burlap.

Notice those bear paw prints? They're printed on a transparency! They're called Clear Cuts and are brand new from Bella Blvd!

Hi

Hello! Today I'm continuing to share my spring fever card creations with you, this one made with a mix of Bella Blvd. stash. I started this project with this beautiful and colorful floral background paper from the Family Forever line and added a few accents from the Molly collection.

Also thrown in are some alpha stickers from the new Star Student collection and a Ciao Chip Accent from the Color Chaos line. Lots of goodies for lots of layers and dimension. This care actually makes me think of summer with the brighter colors.

Happy Easter

Bring on spring! And Easter! And all the wonderful things I love about my favorite season! Like solid chocolate bunnies! And card making with pastels, flowers and pretty paper collections like the new Simply Spring line from Bella Blvd

I've got spring fever bad, but there's still snow on the ground and more in the forecast for Thursday. I suppose I'll just turn on some bright lights, do the bunny hop and make more cards until warmer days arrive!

I'm so in love with the metallic paper and accents that are so trendy these days and added some to this Bella Blvd. Easter card. Isn't it pretty? Swoon...I love the shimmer!

Happy craftin'! Bring on spring!

Friday Sketch with Bella Blvd.

T.G.I.F! How many of you are going to spend some time crafting this weekend? I've got a lot of projects to work on so I will. Plus we've had a lot cold and snowy weather which makes hanging out in the craft room the perfect way to spend a few hours!

Today over on the Bella Blvd. blog there's an awesome sketch using pennants for a focal point that you can use to jump start your crafty weekend projects. Here's what I made...

Aren't pennants fun! Such a cool way to create lots of layers and texture!

Keep Calm and Hop On

Even though it's been bitterly cold here in the Raleigh, North Carolina area this week I'm noticing signs of spring. Daylight hours are lengthening and buds are forming on the trees. Soon Easter will arrive and Bella Blvd's adorable new Simply Spring collection is perfect for making cards, decor and more!

I just love this Keep Calm and Hop On Daily Details card! Too fun...along with the Chipboard Icon Bunny. See how I gave bunny an Enamel Dot cotton tail and a little bow for a collar? As if she wasn't cute enough already! :)

Star Student

Oops! I mixed up a couple of my Bella Blvd. posts. I was supposed to post this card last week and my Clear Cuts project today! Oh well...either way I get to share a project with you! ;)

For those of you who have a student(s) at home, Bella Blvd's new Star Student collection is perfect for creating layouts of your child's school years and cards for the graduate or teacher!

I adore this Geek Chic patterned paper with all the eye glasses and decided it would make a great background layer.

Eek! These little Trinket stickers are equally awesome for a school themed card and now Bella Blvd. has cool Enamel Dots that are perfect for anchoring them onto your project.

What's a school collection without a wise and cute owl sporting a mortar board?

Also new, that photo corner is from the new DooDads line...more enamel accents for creating extra fun projects!
