Tea Cup Bunny

Oh happy day! I'm excited to share this card with you that I created with my favorite Easter stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey!

It's so much fun and relaxing to sit down and color! I used our Fusion Blender solution and re-inkers to paint this Easter Wishes bunny.

The background was done using ink pads and sponges. While I was in Arizona last Kim Kesti taught me the secret of getting this nicely blended smooth effect. You need to hold your sponge so that it's just a little rounded end where there are no edges that would make streaks on your paper. I also dabbed my sponge on a scratch piece of paper right after applying ink so that I could removed the darkest bit of ink first.

After finishing the background, I splattered a little silver silk on top. For accents, I didn't want to use anything that would draw your eye away from the bunny so I simply added vellum and white clouds.

Easter

Good day! I have a hip-pity hop-pity Easter card to share with you today using my favorite Easter stamp set, Easter Wishes, from from Fun Stampers Journey.

I lightly painted these two with re-inkers and our Fusion Blender solution. I think of Dan and Christopher when I look at these adorable rabbits holding paws.

Lately I've been seeing dies on the market that incorporate a word into a tag or card base and...

...I thought I could create something similar with one of the Spring Celebrations dies. I simply measured the width of this sentiment and cut a rectangle the same.

Card details includes a Canvas Prints background stamp, Dark Roast Silk splatters and a lovely Cocoa Powder Gingham Ribbon bow. Yum! I like the way the splatters match my quail eggs!

Happy spring and happy Easter everyone! It's such a glorious season!

Friday Sketch with Bella Blvd.

T.G.I.F! How many of you are going to spend some time crafting this weekend? I've got a lot of projects to work on so I will. Plus we've had a lot cold and snowy weather which makes hanging out in the craft room the perfect way to spend a few hours!

Today over on the Bella Blvd. blog there's an awesome sketch using pennants for a focal point that you can use to jump start your crafty weekend projects. Here's what I made...

Aren't pennants fun! Such a cool way to create lots of layers and texture!
