Looking Good & Giveaway Winner

Hello Monday! Are you ready for the week ahead? I stumbled out of bed half asleep this morning, but after a strong cup of coffee, I'm ready to face the day with a card share for you! You ready? :)

This eyeglass design was created with Doodlebug Design's new Day to Day collection. I'm having a great time with all the eyeglass accents included in this line. And you know what? A couple weeks ago when I was at Archivers, I found an eyeglass die set from Taylored Expressions! Now I can create as many pairs of eyes I care to! :) Imagine the possibilities!

Before I get started on my next craft project, I have a winner to announce for last Friday's Halloween giveaway. Congratulations goes to Sandy Ross! Sandy please use the contact me button on my blog to send me your address. Hope you enjoy your Halloween goodies!

Have a great week everyone!

I Heart You & Giveaway Winner

Hello and T.G.I.F. everyone!

I have a Doodlebug Lovebirds card to share with you before I run out the door to drive Christopher to camp and then run some errands. Have you seen this clever idea to create a message of love within the alphabet? I've seen it a number of times so I'm not sure who's brilliant idea it is, but I thought the new Love Letters Alpha Stickers by Doodlebug would be perfect for it!

The heart in the center is a Mini Doodle Pops dimensional sticker with a Doodle Twine bow fastened on. What do you think? Kinda cute, huh? If you would like to see some more Lovebirds projects from my Doodlebug teammates click here.

Before I run, I have a winner to announce for yesterday's Card Maker magazine giveaway. Congratulations goes to Diana Waite of Scrappy Wonder Woman. Enjoy your magazine Diana!

Have a great day everyone!

Sunshine and Giveaway Winner

Hi!

I'm in need of a little sunshine today, how about you? Today's the third cloudy and rainy day in a row and the sun isn't expected to show until Friday. To the rescue is the Sunshine and Happiness collection from Bella Blvd!

All these bright happy colors and sunny summertime accents are just what I need when the sky is gray. Escaping to the craft room to play is the perfect plan for a dull day, wouldn't you say?

Another way to add cheer to a gray day is to announce the winner for yesterday's Scrapbook Trends magazine giveaway! Congratulations goes out to Kathi of Design Originals by KC! Hope you enjoy your magazine!

Have a super day everyone! :)

North Pole and Giveaway Winner

Hello!

How was your weekend? I planned to share our photo of Christopher with Santa today, but he decided at the last minute he really didn't want to take one. Sniff sniff. Our boy is growing up. Sniff. He hit another milestone this weekend and stayed home alone for the very first time while Dan and I went on a walk around the neighborhood! It's all so bittersweet. I'm happy to see him gain independence and that Dan and I have more freedom as he gets older, but I miss all the little boy things, like sitting on Santa's lap!

How about a Christmas craft share instead? I created this whimsical card with Doodlebug's adorable North Pole collection.

I used the following Studio Calico sketch for the design. They have the best sketches, don't they?

So I didn't get everything Christmas related handled this weekend like I had hoped. I need to run and get my cards in the mail box. I hope you have a great start to your week!

Before I go I want to congratulate Gregsgirl's Crafty Corner! You won my extra copy of CardMaker magazine! I'll be in touch for your address.

Spring Dreams and Giveaway Winner

Hello!

I'm already dreaming of spring and it's not even winter or Christmas yet! Oh boy! It's my favorite season and when I miss it, I like to create something that reminds me of why I enjoy it so much.

These lovely papers and accents are from Pebbles' Sunnyside collection. I'm crazy about the dimensional butterflies and mini wood clothespins!

So, what's your favorite season? I know a lot of you really like fall and wish it would continue on a little longer. Are there any of you who like winter best? Or summer? Have you ever dreamed that your favorite season lasted all year long? Sometimes I do, but I really would miss the changing seasons and the beauty of each one.

Before I close, I'd like to announce the winner for yesterday's all occasion card set giveaway. Congratulations Lin from the Sending Hugs blog!

I hope you all have a lovely holiday weekend! I'll be back tomorrow with my scrapbook page for the new write. click. scrapbook. monthly gallery.

Cards on Thursday & Giveaway Winner

Happy Thursday!

Just one week away from Thanksgiving! I suppose I ought to get serious about preparations for our feast. Um....yea! ;) Although, I usually stick to the tried and true favorite recipes year after year so it shouldn't be too difficult to finalize. How about you? Are you ready? Will you be spending Thanksgiving away from home?

Well, Today is Cards on Thursday at Bella Blvd. Oh happy day! I love seeing what my teammates have created! I've mentioned that before, haven't I? ;) Well, they are the best! We are all using Unity/Bella Blvd. stamps for our cards today and with the big day just a week away, I opted for a 'Thankful' card.

I also thought I'd mix it up a bit and toss in a Designer Tape card. I used these lovely tapes for my stamped sentiments. I used Staz-On ink so it wouldn't smudge.

Looking at this card makes me crave cupcakes! :) Oh, I just had a thought.....I could bake my favorite Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Frosting from Ina Garten on Thanksgiving! Oh they are soooooooo goooooood!

Just look at that little piece of heaven!!! ;)

Okay, before I run, I have a winner to announce for the August issue of CARDS magazine. Thank you to all who visited yesterday and left comments! The winner is..........Leanne Allinson. Congratulations Leanne!

Hope you all have a great day! The weekend is just around the corner! ;)

A Bit About Me & Giveaway Winner

Isn't this a stunning bouquet? Since I cannot have a photo-less post, I went through my 'flowers' board on Pinterest for this picture. It was a real tough choice to make, but I love the uniqueness of this arrangement and the vintage box.

For today's post I thought I'd tell you a little bit about me using one of the questionnaires I've seen on many of the blogs I follow. I always enjoy learning something about the bloggers I visit so I thought you might too.

Eating:   All things healthy and homemade. Speaking of Pinterest, if you've seen my boards I have a zillion recipe pins that I use each week to plan our menu.

Drinking:   Coffee from a Chemex pot. I recently heard about this amazing coffee system on another blog I follow. Maybe you've heard of Elise Blaha? She's an amazing young lady that I learn a lot from!

Watching:   The cursor on my screen blink on and off as I think of something to say. We don't watch TV at our house so I don't have a favorite show to jot down.

Listening:   To the birds outside. It's just after 6:00 a.m. and the windows to my office are wide open. The birds are singing a chorus!

Loving:   The weather! It was in the 70s all weekend with no humidity...unusual for June in North Carolina. It was the perfect time to get outside and work in the garden.

Enjoying:   Christopher's cat log! Last night he decided to follow one of our cats around and log his routine! :) Just goes to show you that kids don't need nearly as many toys as we think and that given time away from computers, television and battery operated gadgets, they have quite vivid imaginations!

Wanting:   Our vacation to arrive! Just a couple more weeks! Christopher is looking forward to camp and while he's away Dan and I get to spend time together.

Needing:   Some one-on-one time with my man! Dinning out, a trip to the museum, antiquing. We have some fun things planned.

Feeling:   Excited that summer is here. I love the longer days, watermelon, and carefree times! ;)

Preparing:   For Christopher to start middle school. This is a big one because Christopher doesn't handle change very well and everything is changing. So we are doing a lot of preparing.

Thinking:   That we'll get through middle school. Yes it will be rocky at times, but we'll make it just like we did elementary school. There were some very rocky times but we're so proud of Christopher and how it's has all turned out!

Searching:   For some good movies to rent while we're on stay-cation. Any recommendations? Dan will watch 'chick' flicks and I'll watch shoot 'em up action movies so long as there's a good story behind them.

Making:   Lots of cards and scrapbook pages! CHA samples are starting to arrive and I've got lots of things to make! I can't wait to show them to you!

Anticipating: Our sixth annual family beach trip! As soon as summer arrives, I start daydreaming of spending this special time with my boys! At the end of every summer, we re-group, take a few days off and head for the ocean. Christopher looks forward to these trips and talks about them all year long!

Before I close this post, I'd like to announce the winner of the write.click.scrapbook. blog hop prize!

Drum roll please..........
The winner of this colorful, wonderful Bella Blvd. embellishments pack goes to...

Congratulations Marge! I've sent an e-mail requesting your address. I hope you enjoy your Bella Blvd. goodies!

Digital Doodles Tuesday & Giveaway

Today is a very special day! Not only is it a new release day here at Digital Doodles, but it's my darling husband's birthday! Happy Birthday Dan!

I'm not the best at creating masculine cards so I thought I'd try a little harder this year. I perused blogland for a little manly inspiration and came up with this card. I like the way it turned out and I love that I used my patterned paper scraps! My hubby loves maps so this old paper is perfect!

Now onto the new Digital Doodles release! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here with this new 'Night Before Christmas' stamp set!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care....you know the words! We've been uttering these phrases since childhood. What fabulous memories they invoke! And here is what the the design team and I came up with this week.
