I love these projects! I really think Patricia's shadow box is not only creative, but such a great way to use the packaging that our scrapbook supplies come in! And what about Cheryl's Christmas Village cards? Darling how she used the 'Home Sweet Home' stamp in addition to the 'Night Before Christmas' set! Arielle's stocking was created for a family tradition they have to place surprises on the tree for each other before Christmas morning. Cute idea isn't that?!?!

Now for the winner of last week's 'Thankful' stamp set....Kay! Congratulations! Please send me your e-mail address so I can mail you your stamps. This weeks stamp set giveaway is 'Happy Howl-loween' pictured below. Just leave a comment on this post by this Friday and a winner will be drawn at random and announced next Digital Doodles Tuesday.

Once again, I'm thrilled that you came to visit and I sure do appreciate that! Tomorrow I have a unique project to show you that uses a pretty darn cool new digital kit from Two Peas in a Bucket. Until then, make it a great day! :) Kathy

Digital Doodles Tuesday & Giveaway

Today is a very special day! Not only is it a new release day here at Digital Doodles, but it's my darling husband's birthday! Happy Birthday Dan!

I'm not the best at creating masculine cards so I thought I'd try a little harder this year. I perused blogland for a little manly inspiration and came up with this card. I like the way it turned out and I love that I used my patterned paper scraps! My hubby loves maps so this old paper is perfect!

Now onto the new Digital Doodles release! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here with this new 'Night Before Christmas' stamp set!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care....you know the words! We've been uttering these phrases since childhood. What fabulous memories they invoke! And here is what the the design team and I came up with this week.

Before you can blink an eye, it will be here so I plan to get started on my cards and ornaments and I hope these project samples and new 'Night Before Christmas' set will help you to create fabulous goodies this season!

Falling for You

Today is the first day of fall, but it doesn't feel like it with a predicted high of 95 degrees here in North Carolina! Nevertheless, I've been preparing for fall activities and holidays with some fun projects like this card I created with a new Two Peas in a Bucket digital kit called 'Little Autumn Girl' by Holly Brooke Jones.

The kit contains six accents; four leaves, a piece of candy corn and this adorable little autumn girl. I used the leaf images to create my background patterned paper. I love using Kraft paper for fall projects as it really creates a rustic feel. The die cuts are from Nestabilities.

I used some wrinkled seam binding for my bow and topped it with an old Fancy Pants felt flower and a cream button. I created the sentiment and used my old Sizzix die cutter to make the little tag for it. What do you think of the gems? Nice touch or a little over the top? Sometimes it's hard to decide if a project needs a little extra something or if it's just right the way it is.

If you haven't had a chance this week to check out a second helping of the Digital Doodles 'Thankful' kit, scroll down to the next post. I will warn you, however, that the images might send you to the kitchen for something sweet! ;) Oh and while you are drooling over the yummy projects, don't forget to leave a comment to win the 'Card Sentiments' kit.

Have a great fall day! Thanks for dropping by! :) Kathy

A Second Helping of 'Thankful' and a GIVEAWAY

Who can sit down to Thanksgiving dinner and not dish up seconds? I can't! Thanksgiving comes but once a year and the turkey is so delicious and tender and the gravy is so savory that I can't resist a second helping! So we decided to give you a second helping of Digital Doodles 'Thankful' projects too! Just look what the design team and I have cooked up for you...

To give my white and red gingham ribbon an aged appearance, I just placed the ribbon over my Ranger Antique Linen stamp pad and swirled a tole brush over it.
