Trick or Treat

I'm been having a bit too much fun with Fun Stampers Journey Halloween stamps lately! There's something about Halloween cards that I just can't get enough of! This one was created with the Trick or Treat stamp set.

There are lot's of creepy ghouls in this set! Eek!

I colored them with the new re-inker system. I'm still learning all the time and try to practice as much as I can.

This chevron background paper is from the Going Places Paper Pack. I love that the prints aren't too themed so that I can use them for all types of cards.

A little ribbon and twine add texture and dimension.

That little orange button looks like hard candy, doesn't it? Yummy! I can almost taste the orange citrus flavor!

Trick or Treat

What is it about Halloween cards that are so fun to make? Ghosts, crows and spiders...oh my! I just love creating Halloween projects. How about you?

Like yesterday's card share, I use Pebbles' Thirty One collection from last year. This time I added a Papertrey Inc. stamped ghost, some colorful orange chevron paper from Bella Blvd. and some Sprinkles from Doodlebug Design. I enjoy mixing and matching products from different manufacturers and using up supplies I've had around for a while.

Fright Night and the State Fair

Eek! We're just days away from fright night when all the little spooks creep out of the woodwork and land on our doorsteps asking for candy! Are you ready? 'Cause ready or not...here they come! ;)

They'll be dressed up like these adorable Halloween Parade spooks from Doodlebug.

Isn't Halloween a scream? One of my favorite things about the season is the crafting. Hope you enjoyed my cards!

Another of my favorite fall activities is visiting the NC State Fair. Christopher just happens to be tracked out so we went yesterday.

Here we are looking at all the different fried foods available like Oreos and macaroni and cheese. It's mind blowing! These foods, if you can call them that, are already high in fat and/or sugar and calories, but let's not stop there, let's dip 'em in batter and deep fry them in oil too! Insane, isn't it? lol New at the fair this year is a hamburger with a Krispy Kreme doughnut for the bun! Sound good? Would  you try it?

Don't get me wrong, we splurged at the fair...we  had hot apple cider, roasted corn on the cob, skin-on french fries, pork sandwiches and ice cream.  And because we now have a cat named Oreo...we tried the fried Oreos. Guess what? I think I'll stick to the plain ones! They were alright, but not worth the extra calories. ;) I should mention, however, that Dan liked them more than I did! Go figure...the guy has never been a sweets person!

Well...back to the craft table today! Hope you have a lovely day! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Got Treats?

Halloween is just days away! Have you filled your pantry with treats for the little spooks who will be landing on your front porch soon?

Recently Bella Blvd. card designers were challenged to create cards with this fabulous PageMaps sketch. I used the Trick or Treat collection to create mine. Instead of a pocket full posies, I used a Paper Pieces photo frame to fill with spooky goodness.

You know, I've mentioned how much I adore the owl/bats in this collection, but I've failed to mention how I love the little spider images too! Doesn't he look like a pompom ball with eight long skinny legs? Eek!

For my second card I also swapped out the pocket on the sketch for an envelope. I think little envelopes are so fun! You can fill them with so many interesting little accents...like Bella Blvd's Feathers!

Hope you have a fantastic Friday and weekend! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Halloween Parade

Eek! Have you seen the parade of cute owls, witches, ghosts and goblins from Doodlebug Design's new Halloween Parade collection? This line is not only adorable, but it's super colorful and fun to play with! There's so many great new accents to create with like Pixies, Sprinkles and Doodads.

Pixies are similar to coffee stir straws...I used one here with a Doodles Seals sticker on top and Doodle Twine. What do you think? Cool, huh? Do you see the Sprinkles? They are like colorful candy dots that add texture to projects.

It's going to be a great fall season creating projects with Halloween Parade! I can't wait to show you more! To see what my teammates cooked up with this new collection click here. Be sure and scroll through the entire week so you don't miss a thing!

Bella Blvd. Cards on Thursday

Hello!

Today's a great day to stop by this ol' blog because I have four cards to share with you! I think that's a record! Today is Bella Blvd's Cards on Thursday so there are even more cards on the Bella Blvd blog.

For this first card I felt like playing with some Designer Tape.

I used some Ciao Chip Alphabets as a pattern for my stitched sentiment.

Most times I use a single strand of thread, but I doubled up here for a more pronounced look.

A couple more Ciao Chip accents, a Flag and stitched heart were used to dress the card up.

I had so much fun with the Designer Tape on the first card that I thought I'd do another. The Jailbird and Orange Stripe designs are perfect for Halloween. If you look closely, you will see the stitched patterned I created for the background.

These fun little chipboard embellishments are from the oh so spook-tacular Too Cute to Spook collection.

For my third card I have more stripes, this time they're created with patterned paper.

This fabulous new fall line is called Thankful.

Lots of zigzag stitching and some High Five Alphabets for the sentiment.

Some of my favorite cards to make are those that show how to use up your scraps, how to use themed collections for something different and how to mix a match different lines. This card does all three.

What do you think of the stitched sun rays? I like how they overlap and some clouds and go behind others.

There you go, four completely different themes for today's post. To see the cards my teammates created, click here.

Have a wonderful day!
