Oh Baby!

T.G.I.F!

How was your Valentine's Day? Did you get some flowers? A little Chocolate, maybe? The heart shaped sugar cookies I baked yesterday for my boys was a big hit! Christopher was so surprised when he came home from school and got to eat a pretty frosted pink heart. :)

Today I have a couple cards to share with you that were created with Bella Blvd's Baby Girl collection.

I absolutely adore the chipboard animals in this line! Aren't they cute? And the floral patterned paper I used on both cards is my favorite! I can't get enough of those pretty petite flowers!

Speaking of Bella Blvd. favorites, February's newsletter is out and it's jam packed with tons of fun projects! You can access the newsletter here.

So what will you be doing this weekend? I'm expecting a shipment of the new CHA Bella Blvd. products so I will spend some time creating some projects for you! Have you seen the new feathers? And the colorful crochet hearts? Ooh la la.....it's going to be fun thinking of some creative ways to incorporate them into my projects!

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

It's a Girl!

The big news I said I would share with you today isn't that I'm having a baby girl! Let's get that notion cleared up right away before rumors fly and I start receiving congratulations cards and baby booties! ;)

This post is called 'It's a Girl' because that's the sentiment on my first card share for today.

This extremely adorable baby girl dress is a Bella Blvd./Unity stamp that I thought would be fun to color with Copic markers and hand stitch. I love the way it turned out! But how could you go wrong with such an adorable image to start with?!?!

I thought I was going to have to run out and buy a gray stamp pad because I didn't want to use black with these pretty Baby Girl papers. So you know what I did instead? I used my black stamp pad and stamped it once on a piece of scratch paper and then a second time on my card stock. It's the perfect gray, wouldn't you say? And a way to save a few coins! ;)

The colorful twine is from Doodlebug Design and the scalloped oval frame was created with Spellbinders dies. A pretty simple card to make and lots of fun to color and stitch!

For my 'Welcome' card I used the same double stamp technique as the first one. I also colored in the little hearts on this cute ultrasound image with a soft pink Copic marker and then outlined the hearts with stitching. This card was made with both the Bella Blvd. Baby Girl collection and We're Expecting line.

So, do you want to hear what my big news is now? I made the Love My Tapes design team! Woot! I'm so excited to have the opportunity to create some fun and hopefully inspiring projects for you! Did you know that Love My Tapes not only sells awesome washi tape but also fabric tape, lace tape and self adhesive fabric sheets? Oh the ideas are swimming around in my head! ;)

Here's what the lace tape looks like...basically it's pretty lace with a self adhesive backing.

Here's the fabric tape. Not only does it come in this fun stripe pattern, there's also floral prints, polka dots and checks!

Stay tuned...I hope to have some fun Love My Tapes projects to share with you real soon! I can't wait to get started!

Thanks for stopping in today and sharing in my news!

Team Up Week

Today's the last day of Team-Ups week between Bella Blvd. and The Twinery. Groan! It's been so much fun that I don't want it to end. How exciting it's been to be a part of! I hope you enjoyed all the projects the design teams created and you gained a little crafty inspiration!

I think my last Twinery project is my most creative. What do you think? This card was a little work intensive, but I think the results are worth it. I used most of the same techniques to make this card as I did for the frame on yesterdays page. Please scroll down to that post if you would like the instructions.

I used a Spellbinders die to make the 'window' for my card.

Bella Blvd. goodies include this ADORABLE chipboard giraffe and stickers from the new Baby Girl collection and a button from the Button Market Feminine Mix.

Thanks to all of you for visiting this week and participating in this fun team-up event. And thank you for all the comments, I do appreciate them a lot.

Tomorrow I'll have another Saturday Creations post for you using the adorable Precious Remembrance Shop stamps. Hope to 'see' you then!

It's a Girl!

Hello! As I mentioned yesterday, I have colorful Doodlebug project for you using the new Sugar & Spice collection. This is another must have line! I love all the prints, pretty colors and sparkly glitter!

By the way, have you ever heard the joke about the difference between dogs and cats? You know the one where the dog says, "Scratches, my favorite thing! Dinner, my favorite thing! Playing ball, my favorite thing! Riding in the car, my favorite thing!" A cat on the other hand says, "No. 4,545 days in captivity." Why do I mention this joke? I feel like the dog when it comes to scrapbook supplies! Doodlebug, my favorite thing! Bella Blvd, my favorite thing! Buttons, my favorite thing! Die cuts, my favorite thing! I mean it...these are all my favorite things! Whatever it is I'm playing with and doing at the moment is my favorite thing! ;)

For today's post I have a double crafty share, a card and a nursery decor piece. What's not to love about this collection!?!? I adore those yellow duckies!

I put the little duck parade die cut on a wood stick to create a flag out of it. Flags, my favorite thing!

Another favorite thing....buttons! The buttons in this collection are so yummy! Truly, they look like little candies!

The yellow button would taste like lemon and the little brown button would be the flavor of root beer! ;)

Have you run across those simple $1 wood frames at your craft store? We have them at our local A.C. Moore. I've decorated dozens of these in all kinds of different styles. I did a holiday one that was published.

These are very easy to make. I use a square scalloped Silhouette die cut for the frame opening. All the rest of the papers are from Doodlebug.

Sugar & Spice, my favorite thing! ;)

I hope you have a lovely Thursday! We're getting very close to the weekend! :) Ah...how I enjoy weekends with Christopher home from school and the hubs off of work, spending time together. My favorite thing! It's just another day away!

It's a Girl

T.G.I.F.

We're officially on Spring Break starting today. It's a teacher work day so Christopher has the next 10 days off. He's quite excited and announced that he will be creating a Spring Break Schedule today. That's our boy...planning just like mom and dad do! :)

Today I have a card to show you with another new Doodlebug Collection called Sugar & Spice Sweet name! :)

By now you must know I'm a huge sucker for adorable animals! This giraffe is so stinkin' cute! Both Doodlebug and Bella Blvd. came out with baby lines at winter CHA and both are loaded with the cutest critters!

There's so much in this collection to love...buttons, new pearl gems and twine. Ooh la la!

As I always say, all Doodlebug lines and colors coordinate perfectly so that you can mix and match new product with existing goodies you already own. I had these mini Candy Shoppe rub-on letters and the Doodles Card Stock Stickers, that I used for the sentiment, in my stash.

I love the yummy button assortment that's included in this new line! These citrus colors look like candy!

It's been a cuteness overload post, right? ;) By the way, this file folder card base is one of Doodlebug's Build-a-Cards...must have!

I can't believe that we may be able to go strawberry picking this weekend! Usually this annual event happens in April, but because of the warm weather we've had lately, the strawberries are ready! We'll have to see if the weather permits as there are thunderstorms and rain in the forecast.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Kathy :)
