Advent Calendar

Ahhh...to be a kid at Christmas time! Remember visits to Santa Claus and the daily anticipation of the Advent calendar? Recently I created one of these calendars with a little metal mailbox tin and Doodlebug Design's Home for the Holidays collection.

Wrapped up in each paper roll is an activity, money or goody coupon! I can't wait until December 1st! It'll be great fun to see how excited Christopher is to open one of these each morning!

If you don't do Advent calendars or already have one, this tin could be used to deliver goodies to your neighbor or tucked under the tree with a special gift inside!

Hope you enjoyed today's project! T.G.I.F!

Love this! Super idea for an Advent Calendar. I have seen all kinds of ideas but this one is an original. Thanks so much for sharing---so creative and unique.

What an adorable twist on the advent calendar. Love it! I think the hardest part for me would be thinking of activities that didn't stress me out if the kids pulled them out on a particularly busy day. ;)

Cute way to do an advent calendar! You're an awesome mom to be willing to follow through on those activities! I'm betting it adds so much magic to the month when you don't know what's going to be next! Enjoy!
