Love

How about another artsy fartsy love card share today? Why not...Valentine's day is on its way! This card of hearts was created with Bella Blvd's Play Date and Snapshots collections.

And for a little whimsy, I added some Doodlebug Sprinkles.

Have you noticed all the mini wood clothespins I use? They're such a cute addition to cards! They're from Canvas Corp. I used to buy them at Archivers, but now they're going out of business. I noticed this week that they have been discontinued at Scrapbook.com. I better hunt some down before they disappear for good....can't have that can we? ;)

Paper and Yarn

I have a special Valentine card to share with you today! It's special because it includes three little crochet hearts I made! You may have read in previous posts that I've been having too much fun learning to crochet and I recently found a pattern for these adorable little hearts.

For the paper portion of my card I used my favorite Valentine collection from Pebbles, Yours Truly.

The crochet hearts pattern is from The Party Artisan. They're super simple to create and take less than five minutes. Quicker once you get the hang of it!

This weekend our niece, Kathryn, was here to make Valentine cards with me. While I made my crochet heart card, she created about a million thin metal die shapes! She couldn't get enough of them...just like me! ;)

The week started out cloudy and will remain so for the next few days...perfect time to get my craft on. In addition to paper crafts and crocheting, I've been working on a cross stitch project that I hope to share with you soon.

Thanks for visiting!

Monday Morning Challenge

Top of the week to you! Hope you had a lovely weekend!

I have a couple cards to share with you today created for Bella Blvd's Monday Morning Challenge to use punched shapes, lots of them! Here's what I came up with...

(Buy Now - $2.99)

Tis the season for love, hearts and Valentine greetings so I created this grid design using Bella Blvd's Crochet Hearts topped with paper hearts cut from the Snapshots and Play Date collections.

For my second card I used a sheet of gray triangle paper for inspiration. Continuing on with the triangle theme I created more and arranged them into flowers topped with wood Bella Blvd. buttons.

This challenge was a lot of fun! Using so many shaped paper pieces on one project leads to some pretty interesting and detailed designs!

Project Life - Weeks 3 and 4

My new printer head finally arrived along with ink cartridges and more photo paper so I'm in Project Life business once again and have weeks three and four to share with you.  My pages will certainly not win any design awards or be published anytime soon, but I'm keeping up with the project and that's what's most important.

What I love most about this project so far is that I'm capturing little things about our daily lives that would otherwise be forgotten. We can't remember everything. We remember the big events, vacations and things that really stand out. It'll be fun to sit with Dan and Christopher years down the road, flip through this album and reminisce!
