Project Life - Week 13

I'm back to share our Project Life album. The new printer is up, running and printing beautiful photos! And...I've managed to print all the pictures missed while the old printer was out-of-service! I still have to add a few creative details those weeks, but week 13 is done.

This week I've included random bits of our lives...the little things that we would probably not remember down the road...like our kitty Latte hiding from the plumbers that were here to restore our toilets! He's such a funny cat!

I'm pleased that it's April and I'm keeping up with this project so far! The key has definitely been the simplicity of the design. If I had to spend more time with creative details, I think I would have already fallen behind. It's funny though, the very thing that helps me keep up with the project is the thing I wish I could improve....making it prettier!

Project Life - Week Seven

This is the ultra easy version of Project Life! Just some pictures, journaling and a few accents...mostly alpha stickers! I'm lovin' it and sticking with it because it's so simple!

Week seven was all about celebrating Valentine's Day and another snow storm. My favorite photo of the week has to be Christopher's snow dude doing a face-plant! Poor guy!

Christopher had a mini-camp trip for the weekend which gave Dan and I a romantic Valentine's weekend together. I used some of Pebbles' Yours Truly collection for the occasion.

Since I don't think there can't be too many pictures of our favorite black and white stinker...

...here's another! Oreo thinks he's assisting me with my photo shoot! ;)

Hope you have a memorable weekend! :)

Project Life - Week Six

It appears there's a cat theme happening in the sixth week of our Project Life album! Meow! Christopher painted this adorable little ceramic kitty in track-out camp.

Latte was published for the second time...this time in Bella Blvd's 2014 Winter catalog. He just might need an agent! ;)

I included a picture of my cat cross stitch project this week....getting close to calling it done!

Twas a pretty normal, quiet and relaxing week.

Project Life - Week Five

Week four of Project Life was a snowy good one that included a batch of snowball cookies and a few cups of cocoa!

These pictures were taken just last week and I already miss the snow! I miss being snowed in. I miss Christopher's excitement about playing in it! I miss seeing my boys shoveling the driveway together. I miss Oreo's little paw print on the patio along with Christopher's wee snowman! Well...there's still plenty of winter left to get a little more of the white stuff!

Have a great weekend! :)

Project Life - Weeks 3 and 4

My new printer head finally arrived along with ink cartridges and more photo paper so I'm in Project Life business once again and have weeks three and four to share with you.  My pages will certainly not win any design awards or be published anytime soon, but I'm keeping up with the project and that's what's most important.

What I love most about this project so far is that I'm capturing little things about our daily lives that would otherwise be forgotten. We can't remember everything. We remember the big events, vacations and things that really stand out. It'll be fun to sit with Dan and Christopher years down the road, flip through this album and reminisce!

Pocket Page Album Week 2

It was a typical week. No holidays, no birthdays, no special events or trips so my journal focused on routines at our house...some of the little things.

As you can see, I also kept with a simple design. My goal is to keep with this project and to do so means quick and easy. Maybe as the weeks pass and I get the swing of it, I'll want to get more creative? We'll see.

Have a great and creative weekend!

Project Life with Doodlebug

T.G.I.F!

How many of you are doing Project Life? I've been wanting to jump on the PL band wagon for years, but I'm afraid that I'll stop mid-year. Any of you feel that way too?

As you know I'm on the Doodlebug Design Team and at winter CHA they debuted their Simply Put 4x6 album inserts that make Project Life a breeze! For the first time I put together Project Life spread and I believe I could actually commit to and finish!

I kept my weekly spread really simple, knowing that it needed to be quick and easy if I were to keep up with it. I love the bright and cheerful colors that only Doodlebug could bring to Project Life! To see more Doodlebug Project Life examples, click here.

Did you notice the cat photo on my spread? That's Oreo's mama. If you follow my blog you may recall that last November we found a tiny kitten under out deck and adopted him. After talking to several neighbors we discovered that Oreo mother is feral and living in the area. We couldn't adopt her because she's wild, but we wanted to help he the best we could so we've been feeding her. We also trapped her and had her spayed so she wouldn't have to worry about caring for more kittens.

My husband took this zoomed in photo of her from inside the house. Christopher named her Leanna. Isn't she beautiful?

Speaking of Oreo...the little rascal doing quite well!

We have a running joke around our house that we have about 10 Oreos because he's everywhere you go! We leave him in one room just to find him in the next room when we arrive. He's everywhere all at once! He packs a lot of personality into 7.5 pounds!

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Have a fabulous Friday! :)

I Crack Myself Up!

I'm really quite funny! Not as much in a witty sort of way, but in a have to laugh at myself way! I've been thinking of doing a combination of project 365 and project life this year. The only thing that's held me back from a 100% commitment is that I know it's quite possible I will not make it through the first couple months let alone an entire year! But, I decide to go for it because I think it'll be a good exercise regardless. So what do I do? I forget to take a photo yesterday...THE VERY FIRST DAY! Remarkable, huh?!?!

Well, I'm not going to throw in the towel just yet. I'm going to use a photo of our cats since it was on thas day, seven years ago, that we adopted the two! They made it to our front door via a few neighbor boys who found the two running around the creek near our back yard. The boys went door-to-door to see if they belonged to anyone. Seven years later, we have ourselves a pair of very sweet and adored kitties!

I'm bummed that I don't have a project to share with  you today.  I've been a busy little bee creating some fun stuff for CHA that I'll get to share with you later. So today I thought I'd share a fabulous new blog I discovered these past few days. It's called Funkytime.

This is a fabulously fun blog with a lot of awesome free downloads! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Happy New Year!

Kathy :)
