Monday Morning Challenge

Top of the week to you! Hope you had a lovely weekend!

I have a couple cards to share with you today created for Bella Blvd's Monday Morning Challenge to use punched shapes, lots of them! Here's what I came up with...

(Buy Now - $2.99)

Tis the season for love, hearts and Valentine greetings so I created this grid design using Bella Blvd's Crochet Hearts topped with paper hearts cut from the Snapshots and Play Date collections.

For my second card I used a sheet of gray triangle paper for inspiration. Continuing on with the triangle theme I created more and arranged them into flowers topped with wood Bella Blvd. buttons.

This challenge was a lot of fun! Using so many shaped paper pieces on one project leads to some pretty interesting and detailed designs!

Metal Tree & Challenge

Yes, that's right! My husband and I spotted this life size metal tree outside the Raleigh Art Museum a few weeks ago.

The tree was quite a sight, but appropriate for the museum grounds. I love the field of wheat it was surrounded by. By the time we took this photo, the bird who was perched in it flew off. Wonder what he thought of the tree? Can you imagine happening across this tree if you were a woodpecker?

Digital Sunday

Thanks for stopping in! I have a couple projects to show off using some brand new digital kits from Two Peas in a Bucket. Even if you are a vintage and/or shabby chic kind of gal, digital elements can be incorporated into your project just like I did with this hybrid card.

For this card I used 'Curvalicious Clipping Masks V2' by Kerry Stewart to get the lovely curve and heart on my floral patterned paper.

For my second project, I made this scrapbook page using a kit called 'Earthsong' by Rocco Baviera.

It is the perfect kit for my photo of baby birds nesting in our back yard! This kit has a lot of sweet elements that are perfect for greeting cards as well.

Today is also Father's Day. I hope all the dads out there are spoiled and appreciated for all they do! Today my husband and I drop our son off for a week long stay at his favorite camp. He's so excited and so is my husband because that means that over the next week, he and I have some time to ourselves! What a great Father's Day treat, don't you think?

Before I close, a note to all Digital Doodles Club members about the current challenge. You have one week from today to make your card using the new exclusive Digital Doodles 'Beautiful Butterfly' stamp along with one other Digital Doodles image for a chance to win the following Jenni Bowlin goodies.
