Friday Sketch

How was your Thanksgiving day? I couldn't have asked for a better one. Spending the day with my boys, cooking our favorite recipes, sipping a little wine and ending the day with a slice of pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream was all so glorious! I'm truly thankful for all we have! And thankful for leftovers! ;)

Today on the Bella Blvd. blog there's a card sketch for you to try along with some design team interpretations of the sketch. Since it's fall and I knew this card would be blogged on Thanksgiving weekend, I thought I'd create my card with the Hello Autumn collection.

My favorite dies to use for fall crafting are leaves!

To see the sketch that inspired my card and the cards my teammates created, click here to go to the Bella Blvd. blog.

I'm off to decorate the tree and deck the halls for Christmas. And watch Oreo climb said tree! Cat!

What's New Wedensday

It's What's New Wednesday on the Bella Blvd. blog today and I've created a couple card designs for you using the latest Hello Autumn and Christmas Cheer collections.

Just in time for tomorrow's Thanksgiving celebration is this Happy Harvest card. Cutting out one the pre-printed cards from the Daily Details sheet gave me a focal point to easily build this card around.

My next card began with a Paper Pieces Die Cut heart that I topped with a smaller 'present' die and a Treasures and Text snowman sticker. Isn't he cut?!?!

Not only will we be celebrating Thanksgiving here tomorrow, but this weekend kicks off the holiday decorations. I wonder if Oreo is still going to climb the tree? I sure hope he grows out of that someday so I can hang our more fragile ornaments once again. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What's New Wednesday

Ready for another installment of Bella Blvd's What's New Wednesday? Great because I have a couple cards I've been looking forward to sharing with you! The first, Owl You Do, is created with the fabulous Hello Autumn collection.

This little owl is just the cutest wearing his heart on his tummy! I thought it would be fun to surround him with some colorful falling leaves.

My next card is made with the festive Christmas Cheer line.

I've had this collection for a while now, but have been trying to hold off using it until after Halloween. Fa la la, it was fun to work with! Had to add some jingle bells!

Thankful for You

It's the last week of October and Thanksgiving will be here real soon! I can almost smell the turkey and taste the pumpkin pie! And speaking of turkey...here's one fine fellow found in Bella Blvd's Hello Autumn collection.

I love this turkey's brightly colored feathers and pilgrim hat! To make him my focal point, I created a reverse die cut frame and leaf sprig accents to surround him with. Makes me look forward to Thanksgiving!

Keep Calm and Spook On

Eek! I had a spook-tacular good time creating these fall themed cards for this week's What's New Wednesday on the Bella Blvd. blog. These colors are fang-tasic, don't you think? And that ghost with a bow tie...boo-tiful! ;) All these goodies are from the Halloween Magic collection.

Soon after we gobble up all our Halloween candy, it’ll be time for turkey and pumpkin pie! Ahhh…autumn! This Thanksgiving card was created with Bella Blvd’s splendid new fall collection, Hello Autumn

I love these wood grain prints and rich fall colors…and the adorable little turkey from the Daily Details sheet!

World Card Making Day

I'm happy to live in a world where we celebrate the little things like card making! I love creating these little works of art and sharing them with you! And today at Bella Blvd. we're celebrating World Cardmaking Day with card creations posted all day long!

Since this is the first week of fall, I thought I'd use Bella Blvd's new Hello Autumn collection for my card. Rich colors, leaves and burlap are some of my fall favorites that I combined to create this design. Looking at this card makes me want to go apple picking, corn maze wondering or to the pumpkin patch...all of which are currently happening here in North Carolina. Ahh....fall!

Happy Fall Y'all!

It's the first day of fall and the perfect time to share this Give Thanks card I created with the latest from Reverse Confetti

There was no denying that fall was just days when I went to the grocery store last week. The front of the store was lined with mums and the peaches and plumbs were replaced by pears. There were sunflowers in the floral department and more apple varieties to choose from. Ahhhhh.....autumn!

I love the new Give Thanks Label Confetti Cut...the two layers, the shape....and I bet they would be perfect for to/from tags!

Love that herringbone texture? Makes me think of warm fall sweaters!

Bella Blvd. & Kiwi Lane

I have some special card projects to share with you this Monday. Bella Blvd. has teamed up with Kiwi Lane Designs to bring you a combination of products that are perfect for paper crafting.

The Kiwi Lane Tiny Accessory Accents and Card Borders are the perfect template sizes for greetings and the flower shapes worked beautifully with all the wood grain prints of Bella Blvd’s new Hello Autumn collection! I combined the three to create this multi-layered Thanksgiving greeting.

I don’t know what it is about stars that I’m so drawn to lately, but I love that Bella Blvd. has so many great star prints in their collections and Kiwi Lane’s Tiny Accessory Accents included a star for accenting this Halloween Magic greeting. It’s perfect for using as-is or topping with another accent as I did here with this adorable Dracula.
