Doughnut Cards

I love the Fun Stamper's Journey Yummy & Delicious line! All those ice creams, cupcakes and candies drive my sweet tooth wild! Would you like to add a few delicious doughnuts to the mix? 

Think of all the flavors you can make! And you can top them with sprinkles, coat them with sugar or smear them with chocolate! 

To make doughnut shaped cards you'll need the Journey Circles die set and some Oatmeal Cookie card stock.

Cut your card stock to 8" by 4" and fold in half. Then with some re-positional tape, arrange the largest and smallest Journey Circles dies to your card stock with the largest die overlapping the top in order to keep it from cutting the entire circumference .

Now cut a 4" by 4" square with the card stock you plan to use as your frosting and cut the same way you did with your doughnut base. With a pair of scissors cut a wavy outline along the outer edge. 

Inside the my doughnut cards I stamped a sentiment using the Hello Scoop stamp set. 

Yum! Doughnuts! Calorie free too!

I just had an idea...you could use Journey Glaze to add a realistic sheen to your chocolate frosting. Oh just image the many kinds of doughnuts you can make and all you can do with them! How about a doughnut garland!

Sweet Treats

Today I have an especially sweet project to share with you made with Fun Stampers Journey Yummy & Delicious collection. Using the Pennant Fun die set I created these fun little treat tents, perfect for any celebration or holiday. 

Would you like to know how these were made? They're super easy! Just cut a two strips of card stock or patterned paper 3" by 10" and score at 3 1/2" and 6 1/2".

I used the second largest triangle in the Pennant Fun die set, but you can use any size to make these in a larger or smaller size. 

If you're using a different size triangle, simply measure the distance of the bottom points of your triangle for the width of your paper strips. In this case it was 3" wide. Then measure the distance from the tip of your triangles to the bottom for the side lengths. 

Once you've made your measurements and score lines, take the paper strips and weave them through the triangle die so that only the sides will be cut (see photo). Die cut both strips of paper on both ends. 

Once you cut your two paper pieces on both sides, adhere them together as shown in the photo above with some Journey Craft Glue. 

Now you will need to make pencil marks on each point of the container in order to help you center punch holes for your ribbon or twine. The new Press Punch tool works perfectly for this job. Once you have your holes punched, weave your ribbon or twine through each hole. I threaded my twine through the front of each tip. Then I added a tag to the twine made with smaller Pennant Fun dies before I tied the container closed. 

Depending on the kind of celebration or holiday, you can add so many different goodies to these treat tents. Use Christmas paper for the holidays, etc. Enjoy!

Chocolate

Everything is better with chocolate! Yes, indeed! So how about gifting a little of the rich creamy stuff to a friend, neighbor, teacher or your sweetie? Or me! Ha! 

My little gift tag was created with the Banner Parade die set and because I can't stop with a simple tag, I cut a few more smaller pieces to make a tiny banner across the top using Journey Foam Squares for each layer for dimension. 

Another way I dressed up this adorable little paint bucket was to create a layered flower for the lid. Again I used multiple die cuts and foam squares to make it dimensional. 

Yum! Wish technology allowed me to give all my readers a piece of chocolate! Now wouldn't that be something!?!?!

Make Live Share

This week I'm honored to play along with Richard's Make Life Share project using the Yummy & Delicious  Cupcake Liner die. I love this liner because there are so many different things you can do with it besides using it for cupcakes. Here I created a relaxing gift set for my neighbor. I rolled a cozy pair of socks up to look like a frosted cupcake and then topped it with some Origins Sensory Therapy Peace of Mind cream and a pretty little butterfly. Also included are some tea lights so my neighbor can enjoy a relaxing evening. 

When I went to my neighbor's home to present this gift she wasn't home so I left her surprise on her side doorstep. 

What would you think if you came home and found this? I have a feeling she'll like it! Wink!

Introducing Yummy & Delicious

Hello! Today I'd like to introduce you to Yummy & Delicious, a new mini collection from Fun Stampers Journey. Isn't it amazing?!?! And sweet?!?! It's sure to satisfy your sweet tooth and help you make some really yummy cards, party favors and decor! 

Recently I had a chance to sit down and play with these new goodies and created this festive ice cream card and candy cup to share with you. 

Don't you love this pink striped paper? It's my favorite from the Yummy Prints pack! I think I'd use it to paper the wall of a candy or ice cream store!  And how about the adorable ice cream truck? Too adorable, right? 

Included in the Yummy & Delicious set is a die to make cupcake wrappers too! Swoon! I thought I could also make a candy favor cup by adding a bottom to it. 

It just so happens that one of the Journey Circles dies is the perfect size for doing this! Once you've assembled your cupcake wrapper apply a small amount of glue around the bottom edge, place it in the center of your circle die cut and let dry. 

Yummy, yummy! Image creating an entire party ensemble with this line! That would be one sweet party! 

The Yummy & Delicious collection is currently available by attending a Yummy & Delicious Tour, a full day of crafting with friends, learning new techniques, enjoying a yummy lunch (cupcakes, too) and exclusive products only available at show locations!
