Thank You

Hello!

I love flowers! I've been enjoying an orchid perched on the dresser in our bedroom every morning while waking up. Hubs gave it to me last month for our anniversary. Flowers brighten my day and make me smile.

How about a crafty card share with flowers as the focal point? The flower accents I used are from the new Pebbles Lakeside collection and the patterned papers are from Studio Calico's Snippets line.

I hope my flowery card brightens your day just a little! Thanks for visiting! :)

Hey Y'all

It's shaping up to be a gorgeous weekend! Perfect weather for our Mother's Day picnic and hike! I'll also be spending a little time this weekend creating and thought I'd share one of my most recent cards with you.

In addition to the oh so colorful and fun projects I make for Bella Blvd, Doodlebug and Pebbles, I love Studio Calico and I just had to play with some their goodies! What do you think? A bit different from my usual stuff. It's always nice to step outside the box here and there.

Enjoy the weekend and Mother's Day!

What's Up?

Hi!

Are you ready for a great weekend? I'm dressed and ready to go on a little junk hunt! The sun is shinning and the temperatures are lovely. It's the perfect morning for perusing the flea market.

Before I head out I thought I'd jump on the computer and post this pinwheel card I created last week with Doodlebug's Fruit Stand collection and some Studio Calico wood accents.

I absolutely adore pinwheels! They're just fabulous, aren't they? I bet you can't hold a pinwheel and not smile! :)

Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for visiting! :)

It's a Mix

Hello!

It's a brand new week! How about a crafty share to kick it off? I created this card with a mix of products from various manufacturers. Some old, some new, some really old.

The vellum butterflies were attached to the card with button brads from Making Memories...those are the oldies. The pretty cloud paper is from Echo Park. The tapes and feather are Bella Blvd. The twine and flower brad are made by Doodlebug Design. The tag was created with my trusty old Sizzix die. Oh and these lovely new wood accents are from Studio Calico and Freckled Fawn. Lots of yum here. What do you think? Thumbs up or down?

Well, let's hope it's a great week! Thanks for visiting! :)

Anyone for a Game of Truck Huck?

Hi!

What's truck huck you ask? Just one of the creative games our son dreams up! Playing truck huck requires no special skills, but to let loose and have a great time. And you mustn't care if your neighbors think you've lost your ever lovin' mind! ;) With that said, the next time there's a fresh fallen snow get out there with your child's Tonka truck and huck it into the air! Laugh like you've never seen anything funnier as it sails overhead! Be sure to not to hit anyone and watch where it lands as it could be buried without a trace until the snow melts away!

Here's a scrapbook page I created of our son playing truck huck. I love that my husband's photo captured the truck in mid air!

I used a trio of favorite patterned papers, Little Yellow Bicycle, Studio Calicoand
My Mind's Eye
. I think these papers worked perfectly with the photo.

I pulled out my stack of American Crafts Thickers and found two fonts/colors for the title. I also used a bunch of asterisks for the center of my die cut snowflakes.

The snowflakes were cut with the Silhouettedigital cutter and the circles were made with the Wizard die cutter and Spellbinders dies.

Hand stitching, border punches and a die cut circle for the journaling finish off this page.

Well, it's not snowing here in North Carolina today. The sun can't decide if its going to shine or not. It's threatening, but the clouds are trying their best to be the star of the day!  I'm routing for the sun to shine and give me energy! What's happening where you are? I've read many blog posts that talk about snow. Well, stay warm and enjoy this fine Friday! :) Kathy
