Let it Snow

A couple weeks ago I shared a photo with you on Facebook and Instagram of some stars I made with Fun Stampers Journey Treat Box and Glass Glitter. Well...I finally put a couple of those sparkly stars on a card.

I thought they would look great with some white embossed snowflakes.

I also used one of the wooden Star Frames to cover in glass glitter. I like, how about you?

Looking at this reminds me of all the snowy pictures I've spied on Facebook lately. There's a lot of snow falling! Stay warm and enjoy!

Brrrr!

Got snow? No? Well here's a little snow without the freezing temperatures to go with it!

I created these snowflakes with some of Fun Stampers Journey mixed media paints and splashes.

Originally I made a pretty painted background for another card and then ruined it by dropping my stamp on it. Arg! You've been there, right?

Well, I just used the good portion of the background to make these die cut snowflakes. And to give my sentiment a little dimension I stamped it first with Clear Pigment ink and then again with Whip Cream. That too started out as a boo boo. I intended to use white embossing powder, but I smudge it! So often projects don't go as planned, but the results can be beautiful.

Weird Weather

Just a few days ago we were snowed-in and I created this scrapbook page. Then yesterday it reached 70 degrees and I saw a young lady walking down our street with shorts on, a sleeveless shirt, sunglasses and sandals! It's hard to wrap your mind around that sort of thing...just days ago seeing the kids playing in the snow!

Christopher thoroughly enjoyed the snow! He threw snowballs, went sledding, made a snow plow with his dump truck and helped his dad clear the driveway and build a snowman. The next day it rained and the weather started to warm...not so good for the snowmen!

Here's how we found Christopher's snow-guy...doing a face plant with a cracked open head! Ouch! Our neighbors' snow people were not fairing well either! It was funny to see them all on our way to breakfast Saturday morning! Some of them were standing but missing their heads!

I created this Snow Adventures page with Bella Blvd's new Max collection for tween boys. Just a few snowflakes turned this line into the perfect snow themed collection. :)

Love

Love is in the air! I finally got around to scrapbooking this photo of the hubs and I using Bella Blvd's colorful Play Date collection, stickers, crochet hearts and a lot of heart die cuts.

It's always so much fun to layer elements...like working a jigsaw puzzle, moving around the pieces to find the right fit. :)

There's a dusting of snow on the ground at our house this morning! First snow of the season/year. Not enough snow to cause school to close for the day, but enough to cause a two-hour delay which makes Christopher pretty happy camper! Ah...remember those days?
