Baby it's Cold Outside...

...but it's snugly warm indoors and the perfect time of year to create snowy projects like this using Fun Stampers Journey Modeling Paste and Sparkle Dust. 

To create this wintry scene simply spread a small amount of paste over any stencil you like and then sprinkle with the glitter before it dries. 

While drying, I colored this Jolly Friends snowman and reindeer with the Fusion Blender solution and re-inkers. 

Add a sentiment and a few accents for the final touches. 

Like? Well, it was sure fun to make!

This was one of the first couple projects I made with modeling paste and I can tell you it was supper easy! If you've been thinking about giving modeling paste a try...I say go for it!

Let it Snow

I love all the snowy scenes I've been seeing on Facebook and Instagram lately. All that pretty white stuff makes me want to get out my snowy stamps and dies and play. 

When you create your own paper snowflakes you can step outside the box and make them any color you like! 

Red, white and blue and a few stars too...looking a little patriotic and oh so colorful! 

Maybe the next time it's snowing in your neck of the woods you can craft up a little snowstorm inside? Enjoy!

Let it Snow

A couple weeks ago I shared a photo with you on Facebook and Instagram of some stars I made with Fun Stampers Journey Treat Box and Glass Glitter. Well...I finally put a couple of those sparkly stars on a card. 

I thought they would look great with some white embossed snowflakes. 

I also used one of the wooden Star Frames to cover in glass glitter. I like, how about you? 

Looking at this reminds me of all the snowy pictures I've spied on Facebook lately. There's a lot of snow falling! Stay warm and enjoy!

Snow Much Fun

I have a crafty fun snowman card to share with you today that I created with Fun Stampers Journey Jolly Friends stamp set. 

I think I've mentioned before that this set is a favorite of mine...I can't get enough of these little Christmastime dudes! 

I've lost count of the number of times I've used this adorable snowman on a project! 

I combined him with the Marquee Type die set to create the sentiment. A little patterned paper, Cut Rhinestones, Journey Thread, Silk and Splash make up the snowy fun background.

Doily Snowflakes

Hello! I have snowy card to share with you today...made with the Doily Blooms stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey. 

I thought these doilies would make pretty snowflakes. What do you think?  

I also tossed in a regular snowflake from the Journey Blooms Holiday die set and topped it with a tiny star stamp from the Be Jolly stamp set. I love the little accent stamps in that set for backgrounds! You will spot them on a lot of my cards. 

Accents for this snowy design include some pretty pink lace, a Clear Bloom Accents, a Vintage Button and some sparkly sequins.

Let it Snow

Today I have a clean and simple snowy card to share with you. This one can be done quickly with just one stamp set, making it easy to duplicate for sending multiples. 

I love the Winter Wonderland stamp set I used for this project because of it's images of nature. 

I used a couple of the smaller stamps, the pine branch and pine cone, to make a patterned paper looking edge on the right side of the card. 

To separate each side, I used Cocoa powder gingham ribbon and added a bit of twine on top.

I considered adding glitter to the snowy branches of the tree, but I liked keeping with a more organic feel.

Hello! Today I have a wintertime holiday card to share with you. 

Have you noticed lately that I can't stay away from the Oatmeal Cookie card stock? Swoon! I've been using it so much lately...so much that I better order more before I run out! Ack! That wouldn't be good! 

Oatmeal Cookie is perfect for all the fall projects I've been creating and then when it comes to snowy cards like this one, I think Oatmeal Cookie looks awesome with Whip Cream ink! 

Another thing can't get enough of...dies!!!! I used four different sets for this card (listed below)! Dies are the easiest way to add layers and create lots of yummy dimension!

Winter Wonderland

Baby it's cold outside so I have a frosty, snowy card to share with  you. 

I was experimenting with stamps, inks and sprays the other day to come up with this design. 

To create these splotchy looking trees I used some of the new Fun Stampers Journey Splashes. Simply spray a little puddle (2-3 squirts) onto a piece of paper at the bottom of a box and then dip your stamp into it. Then lightly stamp it once onto a scrap piece before stamping it onto the card. It was too inky if I used the first impression. 

Once dry, I topped the trees with a spritz of Journey Silver splash and then dotted the scene using the Bloom Tool (embossing stylus) dipped into Blue Lagoon and Whip Cream re-inkers.

What a wonderful wintry scene, don't you think?

Brrrr!

Got snow? No? Well here's a little snow without the freezing temperatures to go with it! 

I created these snowflakes with some of Fun Stampers Journey mixed media paints and splashes. 

Originally I made a pretty painted background for another card and then ruined it by dropping my stamp on it. Arg! You've been there, right? 

Well, I just used the good portion of the background to make these die cut snowflakes. And to give my sentiment a little dimension I stamped it first with Clear Pigment ink and then again with Whip Cream. That too started out as a boo boo. I intended to use white embossing powder, but I smudge it! So often projects don't go as planned, but the results can be beautiful.

Let it Snow

Like it or not...here comes the snow! I don't like shoveling snow or the cold it brings, but I do love making paper snowflakes for cards and scrapbook pages, how about you? 

I created this big beautiful flake with three different dies and topped it with a Sparkle Drop accent to give it the sparkle of a real snowflake.

The background is a combination of a Script background stamp, some silver Splash and a couple Whip Cream stamped snowflakes. 

Accents include River Stone Satin Ribbon, sequins, and Whip Cream Journey Thread. I really like this soft and snowy color palette!

Happy Winter & Giveaway

Hi!

Ready or not...here comes winter! Time to break out the mittens, scarves and warm cups coffee, cocoa and tea! Well, unless you live in places like Australia  ;) But for most of us here in the United States it's time for cozy fires, warm sweaters and a little winter fun.
