Card Creations for Him

The latest Paper Crafts magazine, Card Creations for Him, is out on newsstands. I just found my copy in the mailbox this morning and flipped through it already! There's a ton of awesome card styles for geeks, business men and dudes who love gaming and sports!

For nature lovin' guys, the card I submitted features a guitar, sheet music and lots of trees. I created it with Pebbles' Lakeside collection.

This card and many more are on sale in my Etsy store. I've been busy listing lots of holiday cards so if you would enjoy having one of my creations, I'd love to send one to you!

Well...not only did this magazine arrive today, but I also received an order of Papertrey Ink dies! Ooh la la! I got a bunch of sentiment dies that I'm going to go play with which means more crafty shares coming real soon!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope your weekend is the best! :)

It's a Beautiful Day!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in North Carolina and I have a tweet card to share that I created with a couple Top Dog Dies. The die set used to make those cute birds, TC005, is one I've used on previous projects and is quickly becoming of favorite of mine! See the gorgeously detailed doily the birds are perched on? That's a new one I'd like to point out to you, called Madison, TC012.

The details on the Madison doily are amazing, aren't they? You can click on any of the pictures to enlarge them and get a closer look.

The papers I used for this card is from Pebbles' Front Porch collection. And how about that feather? It's the perfect accent for a bird theme card! You can get those in oodles of fun colors from Bella Blvd.

Well, I've got a sick boy home today. We're not sure if Christopher ate something that didn't agree or picked up a bug this weekend at mini camp. Poor kiddo! I hope he feels better A.S.A.P!

Hope you have a good Monday! :)

Playing with Pebbles

I hope you've been enjoying my free-play cards over the past couple days. I'm having a fabulous time experimenting with thin metal dies. Today's card was created with Pebbles' Party with Amy Locurto collection.

The thin metal dies I used are a set of small circles from My Favorite Things and a set of squares and circles from Spellbinders. Do you like the results? How about the jute? A bit different and fun, I think.

Today I'll be stalking the UPS guy for my box of brand new Bella Blvd. goodies! ;) UPS doesn't usually arrive until late afternoon and sometimes not until early evening...so I'm going to have to practice patience! One time I got a shipment of Doodlebug products in the middle of dinner and I had to open the box right away, set it next to the table and peak at it in between bites! I know...a little weird! ;)

Have an awesome day everyone!

Cards with Windows

It's another Cards on Thursday today on the Bella Blvd. blog! This week we've been challenged to create window cards and here are my designs.

I used the Silhouette to make this card with lots of little butterfly windows. I also used a few of my favorite Bella Blvd. accents, Flags, Button Market and a Crochet Heart.

This window card was created with a combination of Silhouette and a Spellbinder's Nestability die. Along with the patriotic All American line. Are you a fan of window cards? I think they're lots of fun to create...I want to do more of them!

In a couple hours Dan and I are off to Christopher's school for an awards ceremony. Christopher is in his last week of sixth grade and has done an awesome job. He's been taking accelerated math and is getting an award in that class. We're so proud of him! :)

Have a fabulous day! Thanks for visiting!

1000 Posts!

I can't believe I'm preparing my 1,000th post today! That's a lot of crafty sharing and I thank you for being part of it! I had no idea when I started this blog five years ago that it would be what it is today. I had never been on a manufacturer's design team or had my work published. It's been a lot of fun and I've meet so many other fabulous bloggers! I can't wait to see where things go over the next 1,000 posts. Thanks for sharing this journey with me!

Today I have a couple of Doodlebug Design cards to show you created with the Fruit Stand collection.

Oh how I love Doodlebug! Can you see why? :)

Hope you have an excellent day!

Hi!

Today I have a card to share for you that I created with the My Girl collection from My Mind's eye and a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I love the texture you get with dry embossing and the mix of Kraft stock with brightly colored patterned papers.

Well, I have some crafty assignments to get to for Bella Blvd. and Doodlebug Design and I received my latest Papertrey Ink order in the mail so I have a lot of goodies to play with. I look forward to sharing my projects with you soon!

Have a wonderful Wednesday! And thanks for visiting!

A Page, Card Peek and Kitten

Hello!

How was your weekend? Ours was wonderful! Saturday evening we all went out to dinner. Christopher wanted to try sushi. I tried it years ago and wasn't keen on it, but I love that Christopher wants to try lots of different things. He loved it! And guess what? I did too! Go figure!

Sunday Dan and Christopher went to the annual model train show in Raleigh. Boys and their toys....they love trains!

I spent a lot of time this weekend cuddling this little guy.

Thursday morning, on our way out, to bring Christopher to camp. We heard this tiny little, "meow!" At first Christopher and I both thought it was one of those birds that sounds like a cat. After a couple more cries, I started looking around the bushes and the next thing I know, this little black and white bundle of fur is running towards me! All two tiny pounds of him! According to the neighbors he's been seen with his stray mama a few times. We have an appointment at the vet's office today to get him checked out and to rent a trap to catch mama and get her spayed.

Today on the Love My Tapes blog I have a fun-funky project share for you. I hope you can hop over and take a look. Here's just a peek.

Can you believe we're already a few days into November??? With a new month comes a new gallery at write. click. scrapbook.

Our theme this month is favorite colors.

I couldn't decide on just one or even a family of hues so I created this page about loving all colors.

To see lots of fabulous color themed pages from the write. click. scrapbook. gang, click here.

Whew, another loaded post! I've had a lot of them lately! :) Well, I do love sharing with you!

Thanks for your visit and I hope you have a super Monday! :)

Hi!

Good day!

I have another Scrap-Mart project for you today. I bit of a bonus since I didn't realize I only needed to do three posts.

My focal point, this gorgeous flower die, is one of my favorites of the Lifestyle Crafts Bloom and Grow die series.

I love the beautiful detailing of this die!

I stitched the hexagon background of this My Mind's Eye paper from the 'Follow Your Heart' collection.

The dark wood grain background paper is from October Afternoon's '9 to 5' line. Accents include die cut cloud from My Favorite Things, Prima wood button, Jute from May Arts, Teensy Type alphabet stickers from Doodlebug Design and a Memo Pin from Tim Holtz.

Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend? Christopher wants to spend some time at the pool today. Sounds like a great way to spend a lazy summer afternoon, don't you think? Hope you have a great weekend!
