Merry Christmas

Hello!

I made my first Christmas card this week! Yep! Inspired by the heat kicking on for the first time this season and a card I saw on the blog Just Give Me Stamps by Laurie Schmidlin. She had a card share that I fell in love with! Laurie used Kraft stock, embossing and white stamp ink. I wanted to create something similar and I liked her design too. Laurie created some pretty stamped flowers and coloring while I went with a winter, snowflake theme.

I used papers from my stash for this card. The blue snowflake from the larger layered snowflake is die cut from Carolee's Creations paper! Is that company around anymore??? The striped paper isn't as old...I think it's a couple years old, from My Mind's Eye. That chipboard sentiment...old, old, old! It's from Making Memories...from years ago! Feels good to use them up!

I used a few of my favorite snowy tools, the Cuddlebug dry emboss folder and a couple sets of snowflake dies.

I'm sure this card is just the first of MANY holiday and winter cards you will see from me! ;) Thanks Laurie for the inspiration...I couldn't wait to come play in my office after seeing your darling card!

Hope you all have a terrific day. By-the-way, Dan's birthday celebration and dinner turned out wonderfully! Thanks to those of you who left birthday wishes!

Kathy :)
