Glorious Spring

This spring has been magnificent! A little on the cold side at times...we nearly dipped into freezing temperatures last night. Yesterday we had a tropical storm roll through that included thunder, lightning strong wind gusts and lots of rain. It was beautiful! The dogwoods are in bloom and the azaleas are on their way. I love spring! And I love creating springtime cards with Pebbles' Garden Party collection.

Hello Spring

It's the day I've been longing for all winter long...spring! My favorite season! After several days of cold, clouds and ice, the sun is shining brightly and temperatures are expected to reach about 65 degrees! Hello spring! I've missed you so!

To welcome in the new season I created this tweet little birdie card with Pebbles' new Special Delivery collection. These adorable birds remind me of the symphony of chirping I wake to each morning. FYI...this collection is 21% off today on Amazon! :) 

We have a couple resident Carolina Wrens living in a nest outside our kitchen window and we're looking forward to watching them raising a new clutch this spring. Here's a picture from last year. They're so sweet!

Spring is finally here! My favorite season of the year! A time to flock to the garden, plant some flowers and enjoy the birds. In the spirit of spring, I thought I'd share some favorite garden finds from my fellow Etsy shopkeepers.

The first item I'd like to share is this unique and oh so pretty 'You Grow Girl' planter drawer by Semper Nova. Not only a beautiful piece for the garden but recycled as well. The second find is from Wood Elements, a shop from Tennessee that creates hand-turned wood items such as the 'Gardening Paper Pot Maker' pictured above. This handy little tool allows you turn your recycled newspaper into seed starting pots. Wood Elements also turns out beautiful French rolling pins, biscuit cutters and garden dibbles. One of the things we scrapbookers love is sharing our work with one another! I'm always so excited to show off my latest creations and I can't wait each day to log onto Two Peas in a Bucket and see all the work my friends have done. Here Comes Peter Cottontail

That's right, the next holiday coming our way is Easter and in the spirit of Mr. Cottontail, I dug out some patterned paper I had from last spring and gathered some ribbon, accents and card stock to make Easter cards. Oh what fun it is to play with pastel colors and flowers and to know that spring is just around the corner!
