Happy Easter!

I usually don't post on Sundays, but I had to pop in to wish you all a happy Easter and share a card I created just for the occasion.

I made this card shape with Fun Stampers Journey Treat Label die and used this tulip stamp from the Hope Rises set for my focal point. Isn't this image gorgeous?

I colored my flowers with the Fusion Blender solution and re-inkers.

After the tulips were dry, I fussy cut them and layered them on a doily and pierced ring. All are wrapped in a  pretty gingham ribbon bow...perfect for Easter! Oh, or how about Mother's Day?

Have a wonderful holiday!

Hey There Peeps

Today I have a clean and simple (CAS) card to share with you that I created using a new spring stamp set and Rainbow Drops from Fun Stampers Journey.

The design inspiration came from the talented Jean Manis whom I used to work with at Reverse Confetti.

I love the way Jean can take a CAS design and make it look so amazing!

Since Easter is around the corner I chose these adorable Favorite Peeps chick images for my card.

What do you think of these colorful Rainbow Drops? Ooh la la...I think they add just the perfect amount of color and sparkle! And I think I have a new favorite accent!

Mini Easter Basket

A few months ago when I was at the craft store I found this little mini wooden basket. Too cute, isn't it? I knew it would make a cute little Easter decor piece or gift and Reverse Confetti's new Folded Tag is the perfect size for it. I dressed up the tag with one of the little birds from The Tweet Life set and topped that off with the Double Banner Garland.

You can fill your little basket with all sorts of goodies from sweets to a gift card or a little bird nesting inside. Oh...what about using these for place tags at your Easter dinner table? I just might have to go get some more!

Can Anyone Find Spring?

Hello! Do you know where spring is? It was here yesterday! And the day before that! But today I woke up to find it missing! It's cloudy outside and 40+ degrees! Yuck! Not spring! I suppose I shouldn't complain...I've read on some of your blogs that you have snow!

Well, while spring was here I started this colorful springtime scrapbook page. This photo is from last year, during our traditional chocolate egg hunt.

Can you tell by the photo that it's cloudy outside? That's the best lighting I had. Inside was worse. The detailed photos are better.

What do you think of these papers? They ROCK, huh? They are from a new Two Peas in a Bucket digital kit called 'Spring at Last - Just the Papers' by Chrissy W.

I got just a teensy bit carried away with the stitching, but I love the look! And the inked edges are perfect for Kraft stock. Speaking of inking...I just noticed that I forgot to ink the edges of my butterfly wings. Doing that now! ;)

I added Thickers chipboard letter stickers for the title, stripes of paper for journaling and dry embossed and die cut butterflies.

What do you think of the wee colorful pompom balls for the body of the butterflies? I was trying to do something different. I kind of like it...not sold just yet. Colorful for sure! And fun!

Okay, I'm off to play with another new digital kit from Peas. I'll post when I'm done. Hope you have a great Friday and an awesome weekend! :) Kathy

Snag = Delay

Hey everyone! TGIF! Hope you all have some wonderful plans for the weekend! Maybe you will do something special or just hang out and relax at home; either way I hope you enjoy every little moment!

Well, I ran into a little bit of a snag with regards to my new digital stamps. Seems I didn't read some of the fine print clearly and I missed the deadline to have my stamps released on March 9th. No worries, they will be released the following Tuesday, March 16th. So the sneak peeks will be coming next Friday, something to look forward to.

Today I'd like to share an Easter project. I don't really know what you would call this little creation. It's just cute and something you can hang somewhere in the house during springtime and Easter.

Isn't the little bunny rabbit too cute?!?! I saw him at the craft store last Easter and thought I could do something creative with him! The fun little cone style container was cut with my Silhouette. I added a white satin ribbon for a handle and attached it to the cone with some adorable brads from Doodlebug Designs. The bunny is attached with a pretty double ribbon bow. I used the same white satin ribbon along with some thin pink gingham. Then I topped my bow with a felt flower from Jolee's. Done. Cute! Fun!

Well that's a wrap. It's a short and sweet post today. Again, hope you have a super weekend! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you know it's greatly appreciated to have visitors and really exciting to see I have comments when I check in! :)

Too Much Fun

I've been neglecting my blog lately because there's just too many fun things going on this spring! There have been some birthdays to celebrate, including my own. Christopher has been off from school for spring break and we had a couple family outings. One to the Museum of Life and Sciences in Durham and one out to Volmer Farms in Bunn for some out-of-this world strawberry picking! Then there was Easter and all the activities that go along with that. I bet we're not the only ones enjoying the season. Fortunately, I've been finding a little time here and there to keep up with my scrapbooking so I've posted some pages that I've made for these activities. Enjoy!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

That's right, the next holiday coming our way is Easter and in the spirit of Mr. Cottontail, I dug out some patterned paper I had from last spring and gathered some ribbon, accents and card stock to make Easter cards. Oh what fun it is to play with pastel colors and flowers and to know that spring is just around the corner!

Lizzie Jane

It doesn't get much cuter than this! I love Etsy! Not just because I'm a shopkeeper, but because my fellow Etsians are some of the most talented folks around! Imagine this sweet little bunny as part of your Easter decor. And if you think this is precious, you should see the adorable handmade critters Lizzie Jane tucks into a little box and calls them a "hug in a box!" This is a must see shop at http://www.lizziejane.etsy.com/. Enjoy! :)
