Tweet Spring Birthday

The other day I was sitting on our screened-in porch when I heard a clutch of baby birds peeping away. I quietly watched for awhile and noticed the parents bringing food. There are a lot of new babies this spring. Are you one of those who celebrates a birthday in the spring?

I colored this tweet little guy with Copic markers, matching his breast color to the polka dots of the scrap patterned paper. I love Reverse Confetti's The Tweet Life stamps and Confetti Cuts for birthday cards. And for spring!

Playing with Felt

The other day I happened across my felt stash container and realized that I hadn't created anything with felt in quite some time. No time like the present, right? Before I forget for another few months! Ha!

I began this project with this piece of Pebbles' Walnut Grove floral paper from my scrap bin and matched felt colors to it. Then I picked some dies...the 'hello' die is from Reverse Confetti, the 3D flower from My Favorite Things and the leaves are from Lifestyle Crafts. I also added a little burlap because I love how it looks with flowers. The last little accent, an antique ladybug pin. I found those at a local antique store years ago. It's perfect for this flower card, don't you think?

Another Monkey Birthday Card

Today I have another birthday card to share with you that also has a cutesy monkey on it. This one was created with a combination of goodies from my craft room...dies from Reverse Confetti and Fun Stampers Journey along with stamps from Papertrey Ink and left over patterned paper from one of my Scraptasic Club kits.

Looks like all of the products and tools used to make this project could have come from the same company or kit, don't they?  Once in a while I love to simply play and use whatever I have and what's left in the scrap bin. This card is the result. Hope it makes you smile.

Monkey Business

How about a little Monkey Business? Reverse Confetti style? This little chimp is just too cute not to create lots of playful cards with! And perfect for practicing my Copic skills...which require a lot more practice! Ha!

After I colored monkey, I brought him over to my scrap bin and matched him up with this striped patterned paper. I love the combo. Then I pulled some card stock from the scrap bin as well for the banners. A little dash of sequins to give the card a more celebratory feel and we have one adorable party animal card!

Coffee - Fun Stampers Journey Style

How I love coffee let me count the ways! And I have a lot of coffee lovin' peeps who can't resist it either so one of my favorite gift-giving ideas is a Ball jar of some really cool beans!

To create this gift tag and card set I used one of my favorite Fun Stampers Journey stamps sets...Enjoy Coffee. There are some pretty awesome coffee icons and sentiments included in this set!

This "Keep Calm and Drink Coffee" and the to-go coffee cup stamps are simply irresistible!

Did you know that one of the Journey Circles dies fits a wide mouth ball jar lid perfectly? Yes indeed! After adding my Cool Pool card stock top I layered it with a couple hearts, a wooden clothespin and twine.

Another Fun Stampers Journey stamp that I like to use with the coffee set is the Ink Splat. If you use the Oatmeal Ink Pad with the Oatmeal Cardstock you get a pretty realistic looking coffee splatter.

After this post, I'm going to need a cup of Joe! I can smell the beans as I type!

AT-0108 Ink Splat Stamp; SS-0034 Enjoy Coffee Stamp Set; JG-0001 Journey Grand Die Cut Machine; DI-0033 Heart-Felt Die Set; DI-0039 Journey Circles Die Set; DI-0040 Journey Rectangles Long Die Set; DI-0041 Journey Rectangles Die Set; CS-0118 Cool Pool Cardstock; CS-0023 Oatmeal Cookie Cardstock; CS-0006 Buttercream Cardstock; IP-0050 Dark Roast Ink Pad; IP-0031 Oatmeal Cookie Ink Pad; AC-0029 Mini Wooden Clothespins; AC-0005 Natural Journey Twine

Woof!

Recently I bought a few more Copic markers for my collection and sat down to practice a little using the adorable Puppy Love stamps from Reverse Confetti. Woof! These pups are just so darling and fun to color!

I've always stamped my images in black before coloring and this time I thought I'd try a lighter ink and Copics. I love the soft look.

I think I'll save this card for my hubs...it's perfect for the two of us!

Have a great weekend!

Scraptastic Club Thursday Challenge

Hello! Today on the Scraptastic Club blog Madeline Fox and I have a fun and crafty challenge for you! There's a hint in this peek at my project! You might guess we're asking you to use numbers, and that would be an excellent guess, but that's not it.

I hope you can play along with us and I hope you enjoy the projects Madeline and I created just for you!

If you missed my last Scraptastic Club post, I created a trio of cards from the May 2015 Janglin' kit that shows how you can create beautiful watercolor cards without the watercolors.

Look at all these beautiful springtime colors! Ooh la la! These were so fun and easy to make!
