Scraptastic Love

Calling all Scraptastic Club fans and card creators! I have a fun new card share using this month's kit called Good Day Sunshine! There's tons of yellow and sun-shiny elements in this kit, but I have to be different sometimes and pulled out pink, red and black for my card. Perhaps I'm still in Valentine's mode!

My two kit favorites, so far, are the gorgeous Kaisercraft Collectibles die cut shapes. The 'love' sentiment and that sweet little heart tag are part of that pack. Then there's the yummy Pink Paisley Bella Rouge flowers included in the add-on portion of the kit. I love the texture  of them! And the pretty pink color! 

Monday Morning Challenge

Hello! It's another Monday and Bella Blvd. is challenging its designers and you to create a project using six of the border cut pieces! This can be quite a challenge to fit all six strips on an A2 size card, but here's what I came up with.

For this first card, I simply found six borders printed together from the Molly collection that I thought would make the perfect background for a girly girl kind of card. Flowers, cameras, polka dots, cupcakes, peace signs and stars make a super cool background, don't you think?

Next up...I got a little more creative this time around and used pennant and circle dies to cut out words and icons from the borders strips of the Classic Calendars collection for this 'love' card.

I'm in love with Reverse Confetti's new Fabulous Flamingos and the Perfectly Paisley Confetti Cuts! They are so much fun to get creative with and I had an idea to make a funky and fun paisley heart for these adorable love birds.

Have you noticed all the mini wood clothespins I use? They're such a cute addition to cards! They're from Canvas Corp. I used to buy them at Archivers, but now they're going out of business. I noticed this week that they have been discontinued at Scrapbook.com. I better hunt some down before they disappear for good....can't have that can we? ;)

Love and Snowballs

I'm popping in for my daily Valentine share. I hadn't planned on sharing a Valentine card with you each and every day, but it seems I can't get enough of the Yours Truly collection from Pebbles!

I thought it would be fun to add a little sparkle to my card using a tinsel pipe cleaner. What do you think? I bet making heart shapes with these would be fun!

Inspired By

This morning while drinking my coffee and perusing Pinterest I found this card design using metallic card stock and dry embossing. It inspired me to run up to the craft room and create this card. 

I love the texture and look of foil!

You know what else I love? This tweet bird! He's my favorite Chips accent in Pebbles' Yours Truly collection.

As I mentioned the other day, I'm addicted to conversation hearts lately...here's another.

How about the dimension? This is the reason the hubs has to pick up some more 3M Foam Mounting Tape at Target today...no card is complete without it!

I'm going to go work on my Project Life album now. I'm still awaiting a new printer head, but I'm going to work on the rest and add the photos later so I don't get too far behind.

First CardMaker Post

Got snow? There was a fifty percent chance that the Raleigh area would wake to its first snowfall of the season this morning and I was looking forward to taking pictures. No such luck. Ah well...maybe next time.

There maybe no snowfall, but there are hearts o' plenty blanketing my very first CardMaker project posted today.

By-the-way, do any of you crochet or knit? Would you like to learn how? Last year I taught myself to crochet with the help of the many video tutorials at Yarnspirations and the pins from my Crochet and Knit Pinterest board along with some YouTube tutorials. 

My first project was a scarf for Dan's birthday and this blanket for Christopher.

Then I came across this basket weave tutorial and had to make myself a scarf in this design. Isn't it lovely? Funny thing...I finished the project months and months ago but wasn't able to complete it until I came across this pin that easily explains how to crochet a seam. Teaching myself has been slow going at times, but it's been a lot of fun! 

Love is in the Air

Hello! Christopher went back to school today and Dan returned to work. That means it's time for me to get back into my craft room and start whipping up some Valentine projects for you such as this card I created with Doodlebug Design's adorable new Sweetheart collection.

I'm smitten over the Kraft added to this line and the glittery chevron card stock! To create the 'love' sentiment and that sweet dotted heart, I used some Papertrey Ink dies. 

As I mentioned in my last post, I'll be giving Project Life a try this year so I'll be sharing those pages with you, along with all the new CHA lines from Bella Blvd and Pebbles. 

During the holidays I started a cross stitch project and finished a crochet scarf. I hope to mix things up a bit and add some of those projects to my blog posts too. It's going to be a creative year! I hope you will join me!
