Monday Blues?

Anyone have the Monday blues? My hand is raised. After a lovely weekend alone with my hubs, I'm feeling a bit sad that it's over and the fact that it's cold, gray and raining isn't helping. How about you? Any particular reason you feel blue this morning? Or maybe you are feeling quite chipper and would like to share and cheer me up?

When I'm feeling blue, I often create something colorful and fun like this 'Soak up the Sun' card made with Pebbles' Party with Amy Locurto collection. Can you tell by the photos that it's a bit dark at my house? I had a hard time finding some decent light.

Anyway, my plan is to take the morning one step at a time, check off some things on the to-do list and hopefully by lunch, the accomplishment I feel from getting something done will help. That and a bowl of homemade vegetable and sausage soup that I made yesterday. :)

Playing with Pebbles

I hope you've been enjoying my free-play cards over the past couple days. I'm having a fabulous time experimenting with thin metal dies. Today's card was created with Pebbles' Party with Amy Locurto collection. 

The thin metal dies I used are a set of small circles from My Favorite Things and a set of squares and circles from Spellbinders. Do you like the results? How about the jute? A bit different and fun, I think.

Today I'll be stalking the UPS guy for my box of brand new Bella Blvd. goodies! ;) UPS doesn't usually arrive until late afternoon and sometimes not until early evening...so I'm going to have to practice patience! One time I got a shipment of Doodlebug products in the middle of dinner and I had to open the box right away, set it next to the table and peak at it in between bites! I know...a little weird! ;)

Happy Birthday

Hello Monday! After a fun and exciting Bella Blvd. reveal week, I'm happy to get back into sharing my own crafty creations with you! It's always a lot of fun to play with Pebbles' Party with Amy Locurto collections!

Bright colors, whimsical prints and accent stickers make it a breeze to whip up adorable cards like this mermaid design. She puts a smile on my face! My niece, who was visiting a week ago, thought this would make a cool birthday party invitation. I agree! How about you?

On the Cover!

Here in the U.S. we'll be celebrating our country's birthday this Thursday! I hope you all enjoy the festivities! Speaking of birthdays, Paper Crafts' Birthday Creations magazine hit the stands! And guess what? I made the cover! That's my birthday card! 

This issue is packed with fabulous birthday party decor, cards, gift tags and packaging ideas for your next birthday party! I loved pouring through it from cover-to-cover! So much crafty inspiration! And guess what? I have another card within it's pages! Woot! Page 76!

Celebrating Mother's Day

This Sunday is Mother's Day and at the Martin house we're celebrating with a family hike and picnic. I can't think of anything I'd rather do than spend time with my two favorite boys! :)

Over on the Pebbles' blog we're celebrating Mother's Day this week with some crafty project ideas for you. Yesterday two of my teammates made some awesome scrapbook pages of their children. On today's post you'll find my card and coordinating mini lunch pail tin that's perfect for tucking a gift card or experience voucher in.

Hello!

How was your weekend? Ours was glorious! A little on the chilly side for spring, but we still enjoyed some strawberry picking yesterday and a family breakfast outing on Saturday. Friday morning's hike was awesome! We saw so much wildlife including a group of seven deer. I don't care how many times I see them, they always leave me awe-struck!

I'm starting the week off with a birthday card share for you,  created with the colorful, fun and new line called Party with Amy Locurto.

That beach ball sticker makes this a perfect birthday card for summertime, don't you think?

It's Monday. Do I hear some moans? Yep, Monday's aren't too much fun, are they? When I'm suffering from the Monday morning blues, I try and jump into my list of to-dos and before I know it I'm getting things done and feeling a little better. How about you? What get's you going on Mondays? An extra cup of coffee?  Making it a three day weekend? ;)

Super Boy

I have a scrapbook page share for you today. I don't do a ton of pages so this is a bit of a treat. Recently my dad was here for a visit and he and Christopher enjoyed playing checkers everyday.

Super Kid Birthday

Hello!

How are you today? Here for your daily dose of crafty goodness? Good! ;) I have a colorful card share using the new Party with Amy Locurto collection from Pebbles.

When I saw this line, I knew it would be perfect for my son's birthday card. His birthday is at the end of the month and I think he'll love this. :) Especially that dog with a cape! Too cool!
