Easter Wishes

This Sunday is Easter!  Christopher has been talking about hunting for M&Ms and dying eggs all week! We're going to try dying our eggs naturally with foods like blueberries, beets and spinach. I've wanted to try this for years and recently found a link on Pinterest for some recipes from Annie's Eats.

In honor of Easter, I made a couple cards to share with you using one of my favorite Bella Blvd. collections called Spring Things & Easter Things.

I paired this lovely line of brightly colored papers and accents with one of my favorite Papertrey Ink dies called Tiny Tags. There are so many great tag shapes included on this die plate!

These Bella Blvd. paper designs and colors have Easter and spring written all over them! My favorite pattern is the floral that I used as a background frame.

This next card uses the same great Bella Blvd. papers with another Papertrey die.

I purchased this gorgeous die quite a while back, but my Wizzard couldn't cut all the intricate detail, even with a cutting plate adaptor. Then I found an adaptor for my Big Shot that works with thin metal dies and it works! Ah...sweet success!

What an adorable rabbit, perfect for an Easter card focal point! I placed him on top of layered dies and stickers to give the card dimension.

I hope you and your family and friends enjoy a lovely Easter this Sunday!

Oh Happy Day!

It's Friday and I have a couple of exciting things to share with you today!

First, I'd like to announce the winner of the 'Fly' note card set......AUDREY PETTIT! I need to get one of those fancy blog gadgets that picks a random number for you, but since I don't have one currently, I just closed my eyes and scrolled up and down the comments and then stopped. Very scientific approach! LOL!

My second order of business is so exciting! If you follow my blog you know that I have been knee deep in a new project to create digital rubber stamps called 'Digital Doodles by Kathy Martin' for Two Peas in a Bucket. The first three stamps will debut on Two Peas on Tuesday, March 16th! And I promised that I would show you some sneak peeks today. So without further ado....

Here's a glimpse of the first set of Digital Doodles! I could just squeal like a little girl over here because I'm so excited about these stamps! And I think I mentioned on Wednesday that I'd like to give one lucky winner a set of these for free! So, if you would like to win my first three stamps, leave me a message between now and Sunday night, midnight eastern time, telling me what you think of the stamps so far and I will draw a random winner. That's it!

Monday I will have my regular crafty post for you and on Tuesday, in honor of my stamp debut, I will have a post to show off the stamps and show the above cards in their entirety.

Lastly, I would like to close this post with an Easter card share.

This is a really simple and fun card to make using a vintage image and the lovely Chloe's Closet line from Making Memories. Hope you have time to do something crafty this weekend! Make it a good one and hope to see you Monday! :)

More Cards Anyone?

I sure enjoy making cards! I seem to be making so many of them these days! Lots of spring birthdays and with Easter not too far off, it's a great holiday for them. So I'll share an Easter card with you this morning.

This card was made with a Silhouette die cut. I love that round sentiment cut! And I was thrilled to find this cute Paper Salon 'peep' paper I had already in my scraps stash matched perfectly with the American Crafts badge!

The next card I have to share is a hybrid card. I've been making a lot of those too!

I made this shabby chic style card with a digital kit called, 'Forcast' by Vinnie Pearce of Two Peas in a Bucket. I love how easy it is to create great looking cards with Vinnie's kits! I did a lot of distressing and inking of the paper and I stitched on the lace trim, the sentiment tag and the butterfly charm. A lot of fun!

Thanks for stopping in and peeking at the cards! Friday I will have some more fun things to share. I think I might have some sneak peeks of my new digital stamps that will debut at Two Peas in a Bucket on Tuesday, March 9th! :)
