July Fourth

Here in the U.S. it's Independence Day and Cards on Thursday on the Bella Blvd. blog. To celebrate, the design team has been creating lots of patriotic projects this week and today it's greeting cards. For my two cents it wasn't hard to create some very colorful and festive designs with the All American collection.

This first card combines sticker and chipboard flowers in a collage, accented with a little flag and pretty polka dot ribbon.

More ribbon, another mini flag, a large star die, washi tape and chipboard alphas went into my second card. I do love texture and making big bows helps accomplish that!

Christopher is so excited about our bonfire/cookout tonight and fireworks. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain on his parade! It's been raining daily here in NC and feeling a lot like a rain forest...very humid! We've got a 70% chance of thunder storms predicted for the afternoon, but it's supposed to be clear by 9:00 p.m.

Enjoy your Fourth!

Cards with Windows

It's another Cards on Thursday today on the Bella Blvd. blog! This week we've been challenged to create window cards and here are my designs.

I used the Silhouette to make this card with lots of little butterfly windows. I also used a few of my favorite Bella Blvd. accents, Flags, Button Market and a Crochet Heart.

This window card was created with a combination of Silhouette and a Spellbinder's Nestability die. Along with the patriotic All American line. Are you a fan of window cards? I think they're lots of fun to create...I want to do more of them!

In a couple hours Dan and I are off to Christopher's school for an awards ceremony. Christopher is in his last week of sixth grade and has done an awesome job. He's been taking accelerated math and is getting an award in that class. We're so proud of him! :)

Have a fabulous day! Thanks for visiting!

March-uary?

Hello!

Is it March-uary in your neck of the woods? January temperatures in March? Brrrrr! Our heater is running all day and in my free time I'm diving under the electric blanket with the iPad and the cats! They know a cozy spot when they find one! ;)

Well, we'll just have to keep dreaming of warmer weather until it arrives. How about a Fourth of July card? When the fourth arrives it'll be hot and humid. About now that sounds pretty good! ;)

This card was created with Bella Blvd's new All American collection...the line I can't put down! I love it! Love those colorful firecrackers!

Thanks for your visit! Keep warm! ;)

July Fourth Mailbox & Card

T.G.I.F!

It's a bright and beautiful red, white and blue day here on the ol' blog today. Remember the project peeks I posted last week for Bella Blvd's new All American line? Today I get to show you the entire projects!

I think this line is perfect for Fourth of July decor! What do you think?

I really had a blast creating projects with this line! There's so many coordinating accents to play with! To see more from this awesome new collection, visit Bella Blvd.

Before I close, I'd like to share a peek of a card I have posted over at Card Annex.

If you have a moment to check it out and leave some love, that would make my day! Card Annex has a lot of great contributors and is a fun place to spend some time looking around!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous Friday! :)

USA

Hi!

What did you think of my project posted yesterday using the new Stars and Stripes collection from Doodlebug Design? Would you like to see another?

There's just so much to love about this line! So many fabulous and colorful patterned papers, fun stickers and accents! See that little ticket? It's from the Fancy Frills border stickers sheet. You can either use them individually or as a border! Cool, huh?

Have a wonderful day! Thanks for your visit!!! :)
