Happy Halloween

Continuing right along with my parade of Halloween cars, I have another one that I also created with the Trick or Treat stamp set. This Jack-o-lantern, rumpled witch hat and black cat are also part of the stamp set I used to create yesterday's card.

I was able to practice more with the new Fun Stampers Journey coloring system. The more I practice the more comfortable I feel with it. Speaking of this system, I saw a great video about this morning that you may want to see, here.

I love using basic die shapes, like the Journey Circles for layering.

The patterned paper I used is from the Going Places paper pack, the perfect Grape Fusion purple for Halloween!

I also like to mix stamp sets on my projects...the little bats are from the Which Witch set. I think they add a nice touch to my design.

Happy Halloween

Eek! Look at these new 'You're Batty' stamps available in Fun Stampers Journey Holiday Mini catalog! Only minutes out of the box and I had my black embossing powder in one hand and a heat gun in the other ready to create a card! Seriously!

Don't you just love orange, purple and green for Halloween colors? They're my favorite so I had to go with it! Oh and yellow would look awesome too!

There are some great dies that match this set, but I envisioned circles for this card.

I found the perfect sentiment in the Annual Celebrations Stamp Set.

Since I have yet to get my hot little hands on the Halloween themed 6x6 Treat Time Prints paper pad, I picked this square pattern from the Journey Basics Black & White Paper Pack. I really like the combo of the printed squares with the circle die cuts, how about you?

Latest Publication

Fall is on it's way! I found proof of that in the mailbox this weekend when I received my copy of CardMaker, Autumn, 2014. This issue is loaded with projects to inspire a whirlwind of paper crafting!

My contribution to the issue is this Happy Halloween card with glassine goody bag. I created this set with Pebbles' Thirty One collection. Two of my favorite accents in the line are the stickers that include the adorable Dracula featured on my card and the 'toe tag' attached to the goody bag.

If you love woodland creatures, there's an entire section dedicated to these adorable critters! And you will love all the ideas for creating cards with vellum!

Doodlebug, Xyron and a Giveaway

Recently Doodlebug Design and Zyron teamed-up, combined their products and created some spook-tacular projects for you! We also focused on Doodlebug's fabulous new Pixies...quickly becoming one of my favorite accents!

I used these fun and colorful new straw-like embellishments as part of a collage of accents on my first card adhering them with one of my favorite Doodlebug washi styles. Eek! Those spiders are fabulous!

For my second card I created square frames with the Pixies and filled them with adorable Doodlebug spooks. Xyron's foam pop dots were applied under the stickers for dimension.

Eek! What do you think? I love the way Doodlebug's Halloween characters aren't too spooky...they're actually pretty darn cute!

If you would like to play with Pixies, hop over to Doodlebug and find out how you can win a set. You will also see lots of Pixie projects to show you lots of ways to use them.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and good luck with the giveaway!

Happy Halloween

Eek! It's October first already! How about a spooky spider card share to start off the month of Halloween?

I created this project with Pebbles' new collection called Thirty One and made the spider webs with Papertrey Ink dies. I've been getting a lot of use from these! They're fabulous, don't you think? Wouldn't it be fun to make dozens of these webs to scatter around the house?!?! A spook-tacular and inexpensive Halloween decor item that can be used year after year!

What do you think of these creepy crawly spider and spider web papers? Makes the little hairs on the back of my neck stand up! Check out the rest of the collection...it's to die for! ;)

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Four Projects & Giveaway

Hi!

You know the saying, "When it rains, it pours?" Today it's pouring crafty projects on my blog! I have so many goodies to share with you! Perhaps you should grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea, sit back and enjoy! ;)

First up are a couple cards I created with the brand new mid-release from Bella Blvd, called Kiss Me.

I couldn't resist making a mustache on a stick along with some hot pink lips for this card. They’re a mini version of the props so many people enjoy using in photos today.

I love how excited I get when I'm looking over the papers and accents from a new line and my mind goes wild with project and design ideas.

The play on words on this 'Just Write' sticker is too clever, don't you think?

Next up I arranged a variety of High Five and Ciao Chip alphabets for this card.

Bella Blvd. has so many great alphabets to make titles and sentiments with.

This 'Kiss Me' pennant is actually from the patterned paper border strip.

To see a lot more lovely Kiss Me projects, head over to the Bella Blvd. blog. My two cards are only the tip of the iceberg!

Next up I have a yummy project using Doodlebug Design's Haunted Manor collection.

Eek! This line is seriously adorable! And so colorful!

Doodlebug makes it so easy to create fun projects with all their color coordinated papers and accents.

I love this adorable ghost, don't you?

For my last project of the day, I have another Halloween card, this one created with a new line from Pebbles, Tricks & Treats.

And guess what?

Would you like to get your hands on this spook-tacular collection?

Just head over to write. click. scrapbook. and leave a comment telling them what your favorite scrapbook trick or treat is.

Whew! That was a long and creative post, wasn't it? Do you have a favorite project of the four? Boy, that's a difficult question. If I had to answer that myself......gee......they were all so much fun to create. I don't know that I could pick one. :)

Well, I hope you enjoyed my lengthy post. Have a wonderful day.
