Crochet Goodness

Hello!

Did you have a good weekend? We enjoyed celebrating Dan's birthday Friday evening...dinner at CPK, a fresh strawberry short cake at home. Yum! Life is good!

This weekend I also finished the crochet throw I've been working on.

Originally, I had intended to make it for the family room, but when my little sweetie asked if he could have it...

how could I resist? :) Christopher brought it straight to his room and snuggled with it all night. :)

I also made my man a scarf for his birthday. Now my boys will be snug and warm. Just in time for the coldest day of the season. Our high for the day will be just 50 degrees. Brrrr!

So when you're not playing with patterned paper, glue and accents, what other hobbies do you enjoy?

YOur throw looks straight out of a fancy interior magazine Kathy! BRAVO! You are one talented Mama.
I actually enjoy crocheting when I'm not busy with paper ;-))

Beautiful projects. Like you, I spend my time outside of paper and glue with needles and yarn crocheting. I also spend time doing some beadwork and jewelry pieces, some sewing and kids crafts.

Gotta stay busy and creative.

Your throw is so pretty!!! I used to do a ton of cross stitch. But now, when I am not playing with paper, it is home projects - some big, some little. I love your built ins!! Beautiful!!

I love your throw! I'm wondering if that was a pattern that you found on the internet somewhere and if so, could you post the link?

Love your throw and the man scarf is cute too! Thanks for inspiring me... I want to make lace for my cards thanks to you! I like to cross stitch mainly if I am not paper crafting! Kathi

Fabulous! I love when boys (of all ages) are snuggly warm! This morning the temperature here was 28 at 7am with a 21 degree wind chill. The colder weather sure moved in quickly! It got up to 60 today with lots of sun, so that's a good thing!

I used to do counted cross-stitch and I've tried my hand at quilting, but this girl is pretty much addicted to papercrafting so that's what I try and do as often as I can! Thanks for sharing you new adventures and creations! Enjoy the warmth!

Beautiful throw! Love it (and your living room in the background). I can't believe you guys are already experiencing such chilly weather. The Pacific NW must REALLY have Indian summers like they say because we've been having a beautiful October in the mid 70's (although it rains until July so there's always trade-offs). ;)

I used to love cross-stitch and I still do some home decor projects with my sewing machine from time to time, but honestly I would rather sew on paper than on fabric.

That blanket is gorgeous! I scrap and do mixed media.

Wow, Kathy, your throw is gorgeous. I would curl up into it too. Love the scarf too. Looks like you've been having some fun doing a different kind of crafting. I've been sewing lately. Helps to keep the creativity going to try different things.

Stay warm!
xoxo, Christine
