Scraping the Good Things

I'm sticking to my New Year's goal to make more scrapbook pages! I had been making too many cards and home decor projects during the holidays and ignored my family memories! Well, not anymore! Here's a couple pages I'd like to share.

This is a hybrid page using an awesome digital kit from Jen Martakis called February. You can find it at Two Peas in a Bucket. I love this kit because you can make some awesome Valentine's Day pages and cards and it has a template for a two-page layout for all your February photos. However, it's versatile enough to use all year long as you can see from this page about my son leaving cranberries for the squirrels on Thanksgiving.

This next page shows my son playing with Mr. Potato Head at one of his favorite places to go, Marbles Kids Museum.

Silly should be Christopher's middle name since he loves to create silliness any chance he gets. The photographed Mr. Potato Head in this page is rather straight forward for him. He usually puts arms where the eyes should be and a nose for his feet. I think he was just warming up on this one, checking out all the different pieces available!

The little red stars on this page are from an ancient scrapbooking tool we all probably have laying around in our scrap rooms. It's one of those colorful little Paper Shaper punches. It's exciting to rediscover some of the tools that used to be so popular years ago!

So, we are expecting quite a snowstorm this evening and should be snowed in this weekend. Looks like another scrappy weekend! In between throwing a few snowballs and drinking a couple cups of hot cocoa. That means it's quite possible that I will create another blog post before Monday! :) Thanks for dropping by and spending some time with me!

GREAT job! I'm in the same boat, my scrapbooking has taken a back seat to my card makeing and I need to get busy and start scrapping again. Thanks for the inspiration to get "WITH IT".

cute pages, my friend! Love that you're doing more pages these days and getting down all the good stuff of life. Super cute Mr. Potato-head page. Love your use of the star punch in your title work. great colors, too. Love the design of both.
