I have a Pebbles card share for you today! I made this card awhile back with the From Me to You collection. Love, love, love this line! What's not to like about birds, polka dots and flowers?!?! Such a lovely  and happy combination!

This was project was pretty simple...a fun die cute from My Favorite Things along with pretty paper and adorable stickers from Pebbles. And let's not forget the 3M Foam Mounting Tape that's used on just about every card I make to create texture and dimension.

Top of the week to you! I'm glad you're here because I have an amazing new Top Dog Dies set to share with you called Sew Much Fun Die Set that includes nine sewing themed dies that are sew cute!

For this 'hello' card, I used six of the dies, one of which is my absolute favorite...the scissors! It's a two piece set that you assemble with a brad or tiny eyelet as I did here. How fantastic is that?!?!

I love the embossed detailing on the buttons and the thimble! Makes them look so realistic! 

This next card included the dress-form die that I cut twice to create a 'dress' for the form.

The little buttons make perfect 'o's, don't they?  What do you think of this set? I think I'll be using it sew much! ;) 

By the way, the pretty papers I used for these projects are from Bella Blvd. The first card features paper from the Love and Marriage collection and the floral paper used on the second card is from Snapshots.

Home for the Holidays

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in my craft room with all the red, green and glitter cluttering every surface in my craft room! Would you like to see a couple Christmas cards I created with Doodlebug's adorable Home for the Holidays collection?

For my first card I wanted to play with the adorable washi prints that are included in the line. Aren't they awesome? I love the way they look next to each other!

I think I've talked about how much I love the new Pixies accents? Those fun little plastic sticks that look like coffee stirs that are the focus of this card.

I Smell Cake - Design Team Call - First SEI Post

If you love cake you're going to enjoy today's post inspired by this yummy pin by Wendy Sue Anderson and posted on one of Doodlebug's Pinterest boards. As soon as I saw this pin it reminded me of one of my favorite fall activities...baking! 

There's nothing like warming the house on a chilly autumn day and filling it with an irresistibly sweet aroma from the kitchen! I have a recipe for banana bread that I've been baking for nearly 30 years! Yes, I'm that old! Anyway, this recipe is simple, it's delicious, it's moist and it's out of this world! And it really should be called cake!

I bake at least four mini loaves at a time because it's that good and and if by some small miracle you don't eat it all within a couple days, it can wrapped in foil and popped in the freezer to be enjoyed at a later date! It keeps for months and tastes fresh baked when microwaving it for a few seconds before serving.

I also use this cake, I mean banana bread, for quick and easy gift giving. It's a perfectly yummy way to express gratitude. :)

Enough said, here's the recipe...

Banana Bread

1 cup Butter

2 cups Granulated Sugar

4 Eggs

1 1/2 cups Mashed Ripe Bananas

2 1/2 cups Sifted Flour

1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda

1 tsp. Salt

Cinnamon and Sugar for Sprinkling

Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in banana. Sift together dry ingredients and add to banana mixture. Mix until well blended. Pour into greased mini loaf pans. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
