Creative Color by CardMaker

Did you see my post on Facebook? One of my cards is gracing the cover of CardMaker's latest special issue, Creative Color! I used Pebbles' Seen and Noted collection along with their I KAN'DEE chalk and stencils for this project.

To make these tag accents, I used stencils to pencil in the sun, balloon and heart shapes onto tags. Then I pierced holes around the shapes for stitching. Lastly, I used chalks to color them in. What do you think? I really like the color palette of the Seen and Noted line along with the stripes and polka dot patterns.

I look forward to getting my copy of Creative Color in the mail soon. I can't wait to see all the colorful projects in it and learn a new technique or two! This issue hits newsstands on September  3, 2013.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my exciting news! Have a super day!

CARDS - May 2013

Hello!

Have you picked up the May issue of CARDS magazine? Isn't the cover gorgeous? I love the tulips, the card they featured and all the beautiful Mother's Day projects inside!

I'm excited to share that one of my cards was published in this issue!

When I made this card I had just received a set of hexagon thin metal dies in the mail and couldn't wait to create something with them! I used the Pebbles' Seen and Noted collection, perfect for multiple dies with all the beautifully coordinated patterned papers.

Mother's Day is in just a few short days. I hope you all enjoy it! :)

Mix & Match Monday

Hi!

Did the weekend fly by or what? It always does! I cooked, baked, cleaned, went grocery shopping and relaxed. Nothing glamorous, but enjoyable. How about you?

Today I have a scrapbook page to share with you. It's Mix and Match Monday over at Pebbles and this is my contribution. Can you spot the collections I combined to create my page?

There's a bit of Walnut Grove...

...a little Seen and Noted too...

...along with some of the beautiful Family Ties collection.

Individually, these lines have their own distinct feel, but they share a few similar colors which makes them perfect for mixing and matching!

I couldn't resist creating another page of our sweet little Oreo.

Do you like? I don't think you can go too wrong with such a cute face for a focal point! ;)

Before I run, I have a winner to announce for Friday's magazine giveaway. Congratulations goes to Lisa of Lisa's Creative Niche! I hope you enjoy these issues as I have!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great start to your week! :)

Favorite Restaurant

Hello!

Can you believe it....a 2-page layout?!?! I don't make a lot of these since I'm not real comfortable with them, but Pebbles asked me to step outside my comfy little box and create one for you.

Bruno is the hubs and my favorite restaurant, the place we go when we want to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a romantic dinner together. It's close to home, has the most delicious food and staff that are like friends. Oh how I'd love to dine there tonight!!!! Soon. :)

I used Pebbles' Seen and Noted collection for this layout and made the Polaroid frames with a square Spellbinders die. The title was created with the Silhouette.

We're recovering from colds here at the Martin house and had a quiet and relaxing weekend. How about you? What's happening in your lives? It was over 70 degrees yesterday so we took advantage and went for a walk. I tried to make bread again....there's so much to learn!!!! Each recipe I try turns out edible, but not great. Hopefully with each try I'll learn something new and eventually get it down.

Hope you have a great week! Thanks for stopping by. :)

Your Heart is My Home

Hi!

How was your weekend? Did you participate in any fall activities? Pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay ride, farmers market? There's so many fun things to do this season!

How about we start the week off with a simple card?

I created this with the new Seen and Noted collection from Pebbles. If you happened by their blog last week, they were featuring projects using this pretty new line.

I wanted to play too. My next Pebbles assignment, using the spook-tacular Tricks and Treats line is coming up this week and I look forward to showing it to you. But I had to make something with Seen and Noted too! :)

Pebbles products always have the best color schemes!

The stitching was the most complicated part of this card. And that wasn't that hard....I do it all the time! :) So an easy card to get you in a creative mood.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping in today!
