Pretty Petals

Shall we start the week with a pretty floral card? Lets! I found this piece of pretty floral patterned paper in my scrap bin and thought I'd do something with it. It's an oldie from Crate Paper. So pretty, isn't it?

I had the perfect die for this paper...the Bloom Builder Die #3 from Papertrey Ink.  Makes such pretty flowers, doesn't it?

One of my all time favorite accents are buttons. I have bunches stashed here and there in the craft room so I added a few for flower centers.

No sentiment. I like all occasion cards. It could be a thank you, birthday, or just a note.

Here's to a creative week!

Another Monkey Birthday Card

Today I have another birthday card to share with you that also has a cutesy monkey on it. This one was created with a combination of goodies from my craft room...dies from Reverse Confetti and Fun Stampers Journey along with stamps from Papertrey Ink and left over patterned paper from one of my Scraptasic Club kits.

Looks like all of the products and tools used to make this project could have come from the same company or kit, don't they?  Once in a while I love to simply play and use whatever I have and what's left in the scrap bin. This card is the result. Hope it makes you smile.

Love You

Hello! Today I have a frilly feminine card to share with you that I created with scraps and stashed away accents. I've been doing a lot of that lately...although you can't tell just by looking at my scraps bin!

I've had these lovely papers around for quite some time and couldn't tell you who manufactured them. They're pretty aren't they The background die cut and stamped sentiment are from Papertrey Ink. The enamel dots are called Sprinkles made by Doodlebug. I've had the ribbon, jute and little heart charm for too long as well...nice to use them up.

Love is in the Air

Hello! Christopher went back to school today and Dan returned to work. That means it's time for me to get back into my craft room and start whipping up some Valentine projects for you such as this card I created with Doodlebug Design's adorable new Sweetheart collection.

I'm smitten over the Kraft added to this line and the glittery chevron card stock! To create the 'love' sentiment and that sweet dotted heart, I used some Papertrey Ink dies.

As I mentioned in my last post, I'll be giving Project Life a try this year so I'll be sharing those pages with you, along with all the new CHA lines from Bella Blvd and Pebbles.

During the holidays I started a cross stitch project and finished a crochet scarf. I hope to mix things up a bit and add some of those projects to my blog posts too. It's going to be a creative year! I hope you will join me!

Go. See. Do.

Summer vacations are almost here! Are you planning a getaway? Our family goes on an annual trip to Carolina Beach each summer and Christopher has been counting down the days for a couple months now! :)

I have a card to share today that's the perfect bon voyage for a trip to the beach.

I used Bella Blvd's hot new collection called Sand and Surf, a sketch from Studio Calico and a new set of dies from Papertrey Ink called Sketched Shapes Dies.

Do you like the card? Does it make you want to head out to the beach or hop aboard a plane for a remote island getaway? I could use a little rest and relaxation on the beach! :)

Have a great day!

CARDS - December 2012

Hi!

I feel like I'm living in the tropics this morning! It's close to 70 degrees and raining. If I could exchange our pine trees for palms you would think we were in Hawaii! ;)

I got some happy mail the other day. My holiday card, Joy, returned from it's trip to Northridge Publishing.

I created this card with an Echo Park holiday collection and a few Papertrey Ink dies. Now that it's just about spring, I should make another card like it with flowers flowing out of the little envelope. Wouldn't that be pretty? :)

Thanks for visiting! Have a super day!

A Little Love and Fabric Tape

Hi!

Love is in the air on my blog today! I felt like playing with some Love My Tapes fabric tape and die cuts last week and this is the result.

I used a piece of clear vellum to attach the fabric tape to before I ran it through the die cutter. You could also use card stock. I love, love, love my Papertrey Ink alphabet dies! I get a lot of use out of them.

I hope you like the card and have a wonderful  love-filled day!

Postcards for Santa

T.G.I.F!

How about a quick card share for Friday?

I created this simple card with a combination of Echo Park paper and stickers and Papertrey Ink. stamps.

Love these stamp stickers!

I wanted my card to look like a bundle of mail wrapped in jute for Santa.

Well, tomorrow marks the first official day of fall. In our area the leaves are starting to turn and a few are dropping. The temperatures are lovely. Just wish those mosquitoes would take a hike! ;)

Have a great weekend! Thanks for visiting!

Team USA

T.G.I.F!

Have you been enjoying the Olympics?

Thought I would create a patriotic card in honor of the games.

Supplies include a Cuddlebug star embossing folder, a Tiny Tags die cut, sentiment stamp and star dies by Papertrey Ink. The star border cut is from My Favorite Things and the baker's twine is from Doodlebug Design.

Hope you have some great plans for the weekend! :)

So Happy Together

Good day!

You may recall a couple weeks ago I blogged a few cards using hexagon shapes made from one of the latest Papertrey Ink dies and the Happy Go Lucky collection from Pebbles? I had a ton of those little hexagons leftover so I decided to make another card.

For this design, I lined up rows of hexagons from point-to-point and stitched them down the center.

I like the look...do you?

I added a few Mini Jewels from Doodlebug Design to this dimensional Pebbles sticker for a little more glitz.

The frame/window was created with a Spellbinders die. I love the look of crisp clean white with bright colors.

Thanks for your visit! Have a great day!

You Are So Sweet

Good day sweet things! ;)

I have a sweet card share for you today using the This and That collection from Echo Park along with some of my favorite Spellbinders die cuts.

I threw in a Papertrey Ink Tiny Tag die, some felt and an old Making Memories decorative pin. Love mixing things up and putting some of old goodies to good use.

A touch of jute for the bow to finish things off.

A little hand stitching thrown in for good measure. :)

Hope you have a very sweet day!

Friend & Giveaway Winner

Hello! Did you have a nice relaxing weekend? Are you ready to start another week? I have a card share to help get you off to a creative start.

This project was made for the Love My Tapes booth at CHA. I used a couple different tapes, a black/gray stripe washi and the floral fabric tape is called Madison.

This beautiful butterfly card is old October Afternoon. The wood button is Prima, the butterfly die and sentiment stamp are from Papertrey Ink.

I love using office supply shipping tags on my projects.

So, what do you think of the fabric tape? Have you used it before? I really like the texture it adds.

Now to announce a winner for the Little Yellow Bicycle goodies I had up for grabs this weekend. Thanks for all your wonderful comments! The winner is Karen Ladd! I just sent you an e-mail Karen and will send your goodies as soon as I get your address! :)
