Die-Namics Office Supplies Dies

Besides whiskers on kittens and raindrops on roses the set of My Favorite Things Die-namics Office Supplies dies by Laina Lamb is one of my new favorite things! Ask me to whip a card for my girlfriend, no problem, but ask me to make a masculine card and it can be quite a challenge. Not any more!

I totally love this set! I mean, how cute is this clipboard?!?! And Laina's 3x4 Notehbook Paper die fits it perfectly. For those little paper clips...use metallic paper to die cut them and they will  look real. For additional accents, to go along with the office theme, I included a little black rubber band along with a couple 'Post-It' notes created with plain yellow paper.

This next card showcases a manila envelope you can create with this set. It's so realistic looking with its top and bottom flaps, the crease down the center and the tiny circles dies you can use to make a string enclosure. I thought of another way to close the envelope...a brad placed through the back, just like a real envelope, right?

The At the Office stamp set includes some pretty cool ways to accent these dies and add sentiments. My favorites have to be the marker squiggles! Doesn't that arrow look like it was added with a marker?

I'll be back again tomorrow to show you some more of My Favorite Things Laina Lamb die designs which will include another card using the Office Supplies dies.

Clean & Simple

I admire those of you who can make eye catching clean and simple card designs! Often times I think it would be awesome to be able to sit down and whip up a card in just minutes using only a few scrap items. For this card project I challenged myself to do just that and it wasn't easy for me!

I'm so used to playing with lots of layers, dies and accents that I kept trying to add buttons or sequins or something else to this card. I suppose, just like anything else, it will take practice.

Just a Note

As a design team member for a few manufacturers, most of the time my daily blog posts are scheduled in advance. Some days, however, like today, I love to start the day with a little play session and create something right then and there to share with you.

(Buy Now - $2.99)

The only problem with spontaneous project sharing is that the lighting is not always the best for photographing. Right now the sun is shining bright which is creating a pinkish hue in some rooms and in others it's kind of blue! The best light is when it's slightly cloudy, then I get even filtered light.

So my point is this card is prettier than it looks. The bird is a softer pink, yada, yada, yada. It's made with one of my new favorite collections from Pebbles called Garden Party which is 13% off on Amazon! Gotta love a sale, right?

Just a Note

Hey!

We're inching our way into another weekend! I don't have any particular plans I'm looking forward to, but I am thrilled for some sunny spring days ahead since today marks the fifth day in a row that the sun has been a no-show. My battery is in serious need of recharging!

How about a crafty card share? I created this 'Just a Note' card with October Afternoon's 9 to 5 collection. All the office icons are so cool! Love the clock brad! Oh...that awesome black circle die is from Papertrey Ink. They seriously rock the thin metal dies!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your day includes a little sunshine! :)

Just a Note

Hi!

It's a sunny beautiful Saturday morning here in North Carolina as I write this post. And I have an equally sunny happy card to share with you today.

I had some time to play in the craft room yesterday afternoon and pulled out some Pebbles goodies to create this "Just a Note" card. I love the bright colors and the spring feel that the flowers, butterfly and bees add.

I hope all of you have a terrific weekend! Thank you so much for your visit!

Just a Note - Precious Remembrance Shop

Happy National Scrapbook Day girls! Will you be spending a little time this weekend making something crafty? I think I'll join in with my scissors and glue! ;)

Today is also my Saturday Creations post for the Precious Remembrance Shop.

I used a phrase from the Calendar Stamp Set for my card. I love that these stamps are hand written!

Isn't this a fabulous stamp? You can get this stamp set for 15% off this weekend in honor of National Scrapbook Day!

Coupon Code: NSD15
Valid Until: May 6, 2012

Did you see the anniversary card I gave to the hubs last month? Well these Silhouette cut out hearts and circle were left overs from that project. You may also recognize the lovely teal and beautiful yellow Designer Tape from Bella Blvd. I've been using these on many projects lately.

To see more creative Precious Remembrance Shop projects, visit them on Facebook or their blog.

Well, I'm off to cut and paste. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great NSD!

Dreaming of Spring

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day! Even though my husband and I are not officially celebrating until today, when we get to spend some time without the kiddo, he brought home roses and mini cupcakes on Friday evening! So darn sweet! And yummy! Then on Sunday there was a little message in the paper from him. What a romantic he is! I'm so very lucky! I made a scrapbook page of these little goodies that I'll share on Wednesday. The flowers do not last long and the cupcakes have an even shorter shelf life, so I made sure to take pictures!

Not only did our Valentine's celebration get off to a great start, but a dear friend of mine came over Saturday for some shopping and crafting! With fresh fallen snow from the night before we were day dreaming of spring and went on a 'rabbit hunt' for spring and Easter decor! And after the first hour and a half of browsing, we had to stop for coffee and share a cookie. It was difficult work having to look at so many pretties, decide which to buy and all that standing on our feet! ;)

My friend and I made a pit stop at Archiver's on the way back home. Got a few fresh spring papers and accents to play with! Here's one of the cards I made after we got back.

The butterfly accent is one of my Archiver purchases. It's from a new Making Memories' spring line called Flutter. I love the set of mixed layer die cuts made of paper, canvas and felt. The set includes an assortment of pieces that allows you to mix and match and build your own accent. How fun is that?!?!

Oh, I can't forget to tell you about this week's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You! What's a Monday without a 2 Sketches? This adorable bird house image is from our sponsor In Style Stamps.

Here's Kazan's sketch...very cool, huh? And above it is my card. I think I'm getting better with the Copic markers, don't you? They are fun to play with...learning how to do shading. Anyway...

My last crafty share for this post is a hybrid card I made using a gorgeous set of solid digital papers from Michelle Underwood called 'Beautiful Ending Solids.' You can find this kit at Two Peas in a Bucket along with the entire 'Beautiful Endings' line with gorgeous patterned papers and lots of coordinating elements.
