With Love

Brrrrr....it's a cold one outside today and the high winds just make it feel even nippier! At least the sun is shining bright and I have a card to share that should warm your heart!

Have you seen Pebbles' lovely new Valentine's collection, Yours Truly? It's gorgeous! It's fun! And it's 25% off at Two Peas in a Bucket!

This collection includes chalkboard art which inspired my background...I used black card stock and wiped it with a white ink pad along with the embossed hearts. What do you think? Adorable collection? I'm in love and look forward to making lots of fun things with this line!

Keep warm! Thanks for visiting!

With Love

It's Mother's Day Weekend! I'm looking forward to a little spoiling and pampering, how about you? Do you have any special plans for the weekend? Plans that you know of? Plans you would like to share?

How about a card to kick off Mother's Day weekend?

The other day I was rummaging through my scraps bin for another project when I noticed these Making Memories patterned papers and card stock pieces and how well they matched. They were practically calling out, "Make something with me!" ;)

Okay! I set the papers on my desk to remind myself to create something with them. There they sat for a few days until I was pinning a beautiful quilt on Pinterest when the idea hit me to make a patchwork type of card.

To make the heart I cut strips of paper all the same width, about 3/4" and then I varied the lengths. Like a brick layer, I arranged the strips together and to hold the pieces in place, I used scotch tape on the back.

Once I put together enough strips to cut out the Spellbinders heart die, I ran it through my die cutter. Then with a ruler I made lines and pierced holes at 1/8" increments for hand-stitching.

Since I love dimension, I go through a lot of adhesive foam tape, as you can imagine. If I have a large piece like this heart, chipboard saves me from having to use so much foam tape and it's an great way to reuse cereal boxes and the like! All I had to do was cut another heart the next size down.

Details include some washi tape, buttons and jute. And a little die cut butterfly from My Favorite Things.

I love these mini heart buttons, they have been a go-to embellishment of mine for years! They're from Dress-it-Up, I have quite a stash and use them a lot! Out of curiosity I just looked and counted four projects I used them on in just 10 days! A bit of useless trivia for you! ;)

So that's my lovey, quilt-ish project for the day! I hope you enjoyed it.

Have a fun and memorable Mother's Day!

Oh, I'll be back tomorrow for another Precious Remembrance Stamp Shop installment of Saturday Creations. Hope to see you then! :)

With Love

Good day to you! I have a crafty card share for you! This card is the result of playing around with a Mister Huey Mask, Glimmer Mist and washi tape.

As you can see it's quick and easy.

Embellishments include a couple left over do-dads, a simple office supply tag and a Kraft heart left over from a card I made last week.

The finishing touch, a button from my stash with a bit of jute from May Arts.

The yellow chevron tape is brand new from Bella Blvd. and the other two are from Freckled Fawn.

So, what do you think? A little different from my usual dimension, details and hand stitching. I always enjoy trying something new.

Thanks for popping in!

Have a fantastic day! Okay? ;)
