Summer is Here!

Summer has arrived! Time to hit the beach, take a vacation and spend a relaxing afternoon poolside. Or create a summery card like this one that I made to play along with all the ladies at the Curtain Call. 

I love this month's beach side inspiration photo of flip flops and sparkling blue ocean water....so I created a little sparkling blue water of my own with Reverse Confetti's Doin' the Wave Confetti Cuts and a few sequins. 

I added a Fabulous Flamingo to enjoy a dip under the bright sun from the Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts. 

Because I love layers and dimension I glued a few of my waves directly to the card base and then I attached more with adhesive foam tape. 

Ooh la la....look at those luscious waves!

Tweet Spring Birthday

The other day I was sitting on our screened-in porch when I heard a clutch of baby birds peeping away. I quietly watched for awhile and noticed the parents bringing food. There are a lot of new babies this spring. Are you one of those who celebrates a birthday in the spring?

I colored this tweet little guy with Copic markers, matching his breast color to the polka dots of the scrap patterned paper. I love Reverse Confetti's The Tweet Life stamps and Confetti Cuts for birthday cards. And for spring! 

Graduation

In just a couple short weeks one of our nieces is graduating from high school and heading off to college in the fall! To celebrate this milestone I made a special card for her using some of my favorite Reverse Confetti stamps and Confetti Cuts. 

To make the tiny mortarboards, I cut one inch square pieces of card stock, punched holes in the center and added tiny brads and bit of craft string for the tassels. The Let's Celebrate Quick Cuts Panels, Sun 'n Clouds Confetti Cuts and Monkey Business balloons were perfect for creating a graduation sky scene, don't you think?

Hello peeps! Have I told you recently how much I adore spring? It's my favorite season! And one of the things I love about it is waking up to the symphony of bird songs outside my window each morning. It's the best kind of alarm clock! 

Inspired by this daily chorus, I created this Reverse Confetti The Tweet Life card! 

Isn't this little bird the tweetest?!?! 

Speaking of tweet birds...our resident Carolina wrens are nesting outside the kitchen window again. In May we'll have a new clutch! I always look forward to seeing these little sweeties emerge from the nest! 

Isn't this little fledgling the sweetest? Just look at the down sticking out of his head feathers! Good luck little guy! It's a big world out there. Oh the places you'll go!
