Easter is on the Way

Easter is coming and I've been creating some fun projects to share with you. First up, on the Pebbles blog, I've decorated eggs with pretty patterned papers from the Garden Party collection. Here's a little peek for you. 

Over on the Bella Blvd. blog I have another project for you...can you tell what these are?

Springtime

Yesterday I posted a colorful spring-like card in hopes that it would bring spring back our way and it worked for the most part. It was sunny and pretty out, but just a little nippy. So, I'm going to post another and see if it'll help raise the temperatures just a bit. ;)

This card may look a little familiar because I created one a few weeks ago using the letters from this Silhouette cut. I saved the negative portion thinking it would work for another project.

This lovely chevron paper is from the new Bella Blvd. Sunshine & Happiness collection.

And these adorable chipboard accents are from the Spring Flings & Easter Things line. That little pink button is a new Bella Blvd. accent from their Button Market collection. This style is called Pink Flowers...pretty straight forward and easy to remember! ;)

Just in case you missed it...here's the other card I made with the die cut sentiment. For this one I used the new Hello Spring collection from Doodlebug.

If spring took a leave of absence where you live, I hope my card shares will help spread a little shunshine until it returns.

Birthday Wishes

How was your Easter? We had a lovely day, the weather was beautiful and we spent time together doing Easter activities and the things we enjoy most. We couldn't ask for anything more!

To get back into the swing of crafty things, I have a card to share for you today. I decided to make this greeting out of a 'seed packet' die from Papertrey Ink using Bella Blvd. goodness.

I combined the Spring Flings & Easter Things collection with some of the new Sunshine & Happiness line.

Instead of the opening of a traditional card, this card has a little insert to pull out.

For this sweet little floral flag, I took a sticker and folded it in half around a straight pin.

The pinwheel is made with a die from The Cat's Pajamas and the center brad is stash I have left from Ki Memories.

I think I'd like to make more 'seed packet' cards! They're fun and a little different. They would also work perfectly for gift cards and to/from tags!

I'll leave you with a picture of our dyed eggs.

We decided to go with the traditional food color dye because when I read more about dying eggs naturally, I didn't think Christopher would enjoy how time consuming it would be. For each dye, you have to cut up a fruit or veggie and cook it for about 15 minutes, etc. I would have lost him after just one egg color!

Easter Wishes

This Sunday is Easter!  Christopher has been talking about hunting for M&Ms and dying eggs all week! We're going to try dying our eggs naturally with foods like blueberries, beets and spinach. I've wanted to try this for years and recently found a link on Pinterest for some recipes from Annie's Eats.

In honor of Easter, I made a couple cards to share with you using one of my favorite Bella Blvd. collections called Spring Things & Easter Things.

I paired this lovely line of brightly colored papers and accents with one of my favorite Papertrey Ink dies called Tiny Tags. There are so many great tag shapes included on this die plate!

These Bella Blvd. paper designs and colors have Easter and spring written all over them! My favorite pattern is the floral that I used as a background frame.

This next card uses the same great Bella Blvd. papers with another Papertrey die.

I purchased this gorgeous die quite a while back, but my Wizzard couldn't cut all the intricate detail, even with a cutting plate adaptor. Then I found an adaptor for my Big Shot that works with thin metal dies and it works! Ah...sweet success!

What an adorable rabbit, perfect for an Easter card focal point! I placed him on top of layered dies and stickers to give the card dimension.

Time Flies

Time flies when you're having fun! And weekend's whiz by at the blink of an eye, don't they?

I thought this colorful kite card would make a great weekend crafty share.

I recently bought a few more thin metal dies and had to have this kite one. Isn't it cute? It's from My Favorite Things. I actually bought it because I really needed one of those die converters for my Big Shot, and while I was at it...and while I was paying for shipping....good excuse huh? ;)

You know what else is new? This awesome cloud paper!!! I'm crazy about this design! There's a lot of cloud paper floating around the scrapbook industry, but this is the cutest! It's just one of the amazing patterns from the new Bella Blvd. Sunshine & Happiness collection, which I just got this week! I didn't get to work with this line for my CHA projects, but I'm making up for lost time which means you will be seeing a lot more Sunshine & Happiness projects from me!

I mixed in some of the Spring Flings & Easter Things papers like this green chevron print. I thought it would look fun sideways to mimic grass.

Well, after a period of rain and clouds this morning, we have a rather lovely sunny Saturday afternoon going on. I'm thinking about getting off this computer and heading out to enjoy some fresh air! Maybe go fly a kite? ;) We would need a bigger yard and wind would help! Kite flying will have to wait until another day.

Spring is in the Air

Hi!

I have a couple of Bella Blvd. Spring Flings & Easter Things cards to share with you today.

This card was inspired by the cover of the new Bella Blvd. catalog. It has clouds all over the front made from the patterns in their collections. And if you like this look, the same patterned paper is included in the Sunshine & Happiness line.

The clouds were created with a thin metal die from My Favorite Things.

Up next is a butterfly thank you card where I used a trio of colorful patterned papers for the background.

I love my thin metal dies! For my focal point I used a circle die from Spellbinders and a set of butterfly dies that are from My Favorite Things. That adorable little brad is Dear Lizzy and the sentiment was made with Doodlebug's Simply Sweet rub-ons.

Speaking of the Bella Blvd. catalog, I was honored to have the following scrapbook page included!

That's my little cutie pie who is turning 11 next month! Where does the time go? The collection I used for this page is called Baby Boy. It's to die for, isn't it?

Bella Blvd. Inspiration

Hi!

I have two Bella Blvd. cards to share with you today. This week some of the design team members were given an inspirational photo to create our projects from and we all came up with completely different and creative ideas!

For this card I used the new Bella Blvd. Baby Boy line. I think you've heard me mention before that I really adore this collection!?!? ;)

The die cut background was made with the Silhouette and the tag with an old Sizzix die. I made the little sentiment flag by cutting a piece of border strip patterned paper.

Spring has sprung this week so I made one of my cards with the Bella Blvd. Spring Flings & Easter Things collection.

I created the circles with a set of Spellbinders nesting dies and this adorable little bee and beautiful flower accent are Ciao Chip.

Bella Blvd. Hand Stitched Cards

Hi!

You popped in on a crafty good post today! I have some Bella Blvd. cards to share with you that include a whole lot of hand stitching.

I love quilts, especially vintage quilts with all the hand stitched fabrics that were often bits and pieces of clothing too worn in places to wear anymore. Quilts that have white backgrounds and colorful blocks of floral prints are so beautiful!  Some of the Bella Blvd. Spring Flings & Easter Things patterns remind me of the perfect fabric for quilting.

All this stitching is calls for a sentiment that includes the word 'sew' in it! A few micro mini buttons and a tiny wooden spool wrapped with thread bring the sewing theme home.

Hexagons are very popular right now, they're so fun and versatile.

These hexagons were cut with the Silhouette die cut machine. The buttons are from Jesse James and the spool is from the craft store. The flag was created with a Papertrey thin metal die and the wood dowel is from Wilton...probably for making lollipops.

Birthdays call for colorful festive cards and the Bella Blvd. Making the Team collection with their bright colors and fabulous side-B patterns are ideal for birthday cards! It's always my goal to show how versatile a themed line can be.

I used the Silhouette to create the yellow background design and some Spellbinders thin metal dies for the circles. The rosettes were made using a Tim Holtz die. The blue star brads are from Doodlebug Designs. All papers, letter stickers and red chipboard stars are from Bella Blvd.

Oh what fun I had with the Silhouette! I picked a grid and circle design for this card. I used the outer part of the grid as a template to line these dots up in straight rows and then stitched a line across each row.

Bella Blvd. Sophisticates papers are a must have because they coordinate with almost every Bella Blvd. collection and they also work well on their own. I really like these stripes!

The three chipboard pieces I used are from three different Bella Blvd. Ciao Chip sets which shows how versatile and interchangeable they are.

Cute Cuts Challenge and a Winner

Awesome to have you stop by today because Bella Blvd. is holding a challenge week with special guest Shannon Tidwell! Actually, I have joined the fun by creating a couple cards for today's challenge which is to use any Bella Blvd. Cute Cut(s) on my cards! I just wish I was also in the running to win some Bella Blvd. goodies...since I can't get enough of them! :)

So here's my first Cute Cuts card...

I’ve lost count of how many scrapbook pages and cards I’ve created with this new Baby Boy collection! I can’t help myself, it’s so darn cute and fun to play with! I’m really smitten with the Cute Cut images like the animals and this adorable onesie!

How do you like my little onesie hanger? I made that little cutie out of wire! I have this little, insignificant talent of making mini hangers! Complete with wrapped wire top! :) If you must have one, I sell them in my Etsy shop.

My next Cute Cuts card is spring themed.

With spring being my favorite season, I’ve really enjoyed creating a lot projects with the Spring Flings & Easter Things collection too. Any spring craft or celebration I can think of works with these colorful papers and accents! Both my son and I have spring birthdays and this versatile line is perfect for birthday celebrations too!

Oh how I love rainbows! They make me happy, the way they magically appear with the sun after a spring rain! Can you picture it?

Must snap out of rainbow daydream! Ah yes, my card, I used the new Green High Five Alphas. I can't wait until these come out! I'll have to stock up...love the variety of colors, fonts and sizes!
