Pin-spired Cards

How was your Christmas? Did you get any crafty supplies from Santa? Maybe you will have a little extra time between now and New Year's Eve to spend some playing in your craft room?

Over at Bella Blvd. we were given the following Pinterest photo to inspire our next assignment.

Isn't this image gorgeous? It's fun to replace letters in a word with a object or symbol...there's always a lot of room for creativity in doing so.

I was reminded of this Bella Blvd. phrase card that uses a peace symbol for the 'o' in joy.

With the many circles in the card I went with a circular theme using buttons and this background die cut.

What I love most about this card is the color combination! These are some seriously cheerful colors!

For my next card I decided to use the word noel from the photo and replace the 'o' with an ornament and snowflake combination.

Both cards were created with Bella Blvd's Christmas Countdown collection and have a completely different look and feel to them. I like that kind of versatility in a line!

The ornament and doily die cuts are from Top Dog Dies. They too are versatile...I've used them for so many projects this season.

To see the what my teammates created with this Pinterest photo, head over to Bella Blvd. to have a look.

Happy craftin'!

Top Dog Dies Holiday Blog Hop

Welcome to Top Dog Dies first ever blog hop! To gather a sleigh load of crafty ideas for the holidays, you will be hoping through each design team member’s blog:

For today's hop, I created this tri-fold card with three of my favorite Top Dog Dies...A2 Card #4, Ornaments and Tags #1, and the Snowflake Trio Set

Tis the season for goodies! For my next project, I made some treat bags using glassine bags and Top Dog Dies' Madison Doily Die and the Snowflake Trio Set.

Tucked inside each bag are dark chocolate covered almonds...a staple at our house! ;) These would make sweet gifts to give away at a cookie exchange, don't you think?

The party isn't over just yet...we’re giving away $50 Top Dog Dies eGift Cards to two lucky winners. Entering is easy: Just add your email address here and you’ll be included in the giveaway!

You can earn extra entries by commenting along the blog hop and by following us on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Even better news? You have until Friday Dec. 13 to enter and we'll announce the winners on Monday Dec. 16.

Thanks for joining us for our first – but definitely not our last – blog hop.

CARDS - December 2012

Hi!

I feel like I'm living in the tropics this morning! It's close to 70 degrees and raining. If I could exchange our pine trees for palms you would think we were in Hawaii! ;)

I got some happy mail the other day. My holiday card, Joy, returned from it's trip to Northridge Publishing.

I created this card with an Echo Park holiday collection and a few Papertrey Ink dies. Now that it's just about spring, I should make another card like it with flowers flowing out of the little envelope. Wouldn't that be pretty? :)

Thanks for visiting! Have a super day!

Joy

Hello!

Did you know that as of last Saturday we're just four months out from Christmas? At this point it seems like there's plenty of time to make cards, decor and gifts, but somehow time will fly by at the speed of crazy and we'll be rushing around wondering where it all went, right?

One of the benefits of making Christmas cards all year long, for design team assignments and publishing is that I have plenty to mail to friends and family when the time comes.

Most supplies for this card are from Echo Park's Season's Greetings collection. I used pop dots for the sentiment to raise it from the card.

I adore this snow guy and gave him a couple micro mini buttons.

Do you make your Christmas cards? Will you be starting them soon?

Thanks for visiting today! :)
