A Digital Monday

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? Crazy? Relaxing? Memorable? Mine was rather relaxing. We had hot weather here in North Carolina. In the 90s and humid. My boys spent a number of hours at the pool. I'm not so hip on wearing almost nothing and had plenty of work to do so I stayed in. I got my digital projects done so I'll show you those.

This first project is a hybrid card made from a brand new and adorable kit called 'Fun in the Sun Drawings' by Holly Brooke Jones.

Lots of you like to use Copic Markers and this kit is full of fun little icons perfect for that! My next project is an all digital page made with 'Denim Summer' a fabulous new kit from the talented Jen Martakis.

Isn't this kit cool! Perfect for those summer beach photos! This photo is of me and my son taken at Carolina Beach last summer. We were up with the birds looking for shells before the beach got crowded and hot.

I hope you can pop back by for a bit tomorrow to see the next Digital Doodles stamp release. All of you who do, and leave a comment, will be eligible to win the new stamp! Hope to see you then! :) Kathy

Lucy's Cards - Challenge 11 - Color

I decided to sneak in a bit of crafting time to play along with Lucy's card challenge. The combination of colors and the super sweet bird pillow made it too irresistible not to!

So my card is a bit darker than Lucy's color palette, but pretty close. The adorable birds I used are die cuts from Silhouette.

While I'm posting I thought I'd also show you a couple of Digital Doodles stamp cards I've seen out in blog land and on Two Peas in a Bucket.

Miss You

Farewell to Third Grade

You would think my son would be on cloud nine this morning since today is the last day of school before summer vacation! No, he's feeling a bit sad and says that third grade has been the best year! Christopher actually wanted to go to school last Saturday so he could spend as much time at school since the year is ending. Is this my child? The one who at times throughout the year hated homework and a few times refused to go? Kids! :)

Well, the end of a year is also a time we like to recognize teachers for their hard work and a job well done so this year we got the teachers Target gift cards and I made these adorable little pillow boxes to put them in.

The template for the pillow boxes is from Silhouette. Have I mentioned recently just how much I adore Silhouette? I think I do at least once a week! ;) The ribbon is May Arts, one that I carry in my Etsy shop. Love to work with it and stock it in five colors! The stamp is new from ippity...I love it! I think it would be perfect for bookmarks too!

One other item of business is who won this week's Digital Doodles 'String Bikini' stamp. The winner is Ujjwal of Handmade with Love! Congratulations Ujjwal, I'll e-mail your stamp today! :)

Oh happy day! Guess what just arrived in the mail this morning?  My iPad! :) Yippee! I love reading and saving trees so this will help me do both. And I love to keep up with all your blogs and keep you posted on the latest Digital Doodles, so my new iPad will allow me to do that from anywhere in the house. I could blog and search the net while I'm hanging out with my boys in the living room. Right now, my computer is in the attic on the 3rd floor so when I'm working I'm isolated. That's a good thing some of the time, but it would be nice in the evenings and on weekends if I could spend a little more time in the same room with them!

Well, that's a wrap for the day. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! The weekend is almost here and time to enjoy the family. Hope you make a lot of memories and enjoy the little things!
