Winter

Even though it's the middle of winter, yesterday we had an amazing warm and sunny day here in North Carolina. It was 65+ degrees and I couldn't resist spending some time outside with the sun on my face! 

Since it's still very much wintertime, I have a Scraptastic Club January 2015 Sweater Weather kit project to share with you today. 

The background of my card was created with two Scraptastic Club patterned papers and a sticker...those beautiful pine trees. The next layer, the shipping tag, one of my kit faves is topped with some Carta Bella Warm & Cozy stickers and accented with a bit of jute and a very cool metal snowflake paperclip from Maya Road. 

We'll be returning to normal winter temps soon and maybe we'll even get a little snowfall? Christopher would enjoy that! :)

Winter Fun

With freezing temperatures and precipitation mixing it up around here it's only a matter of time before we get a little snowfall! Which reminds me of this pin I recently saw on Pinterest. Even though I'm not a huge fan of cold temperatures I love the beauty of snow and this scene inspired me to create this card with Scraptastic Club's January 2015 Sweater Weather kit and add-on. 

The Sweater Weather kit add-on includes these awesome metal snowflake paperclip accents from Maya Road that I'm totally digging! Aren't they fun?!?! What would you make with them? I'm thinking they would make a fantastic ornament embellishment! Hmmm.....

2 Sketches 4 You

This week I decided to try making a card based on a sketch from the blog site 2 Sketches 4 You at http://www.2sketches4you.blogspot.com/. I used Kazan's 21 sketch and came up with this fun card for mother's day. I was excited that I could make this lovely card with scraps, everything except for the embellishments came from my scrap box. Cool, huh? And those little birds...are they not too adorable?
